  2. I don't think we can know for sure yet, but with 4.0 coming and the change to crit/surge things are going to be different in terms of burst. Remember the stream and the level 60 in 188 gear only had 57.70 % surge... Burst may be reduced across the board. Not saying that's good or bad, but it appears to be the way it's gonna be.
  3. No, he's just saying that they should either confirm the date 2.4 will hit or announce it's being pushed back. PVE peeps are going to be planning on running the 2 new OPs, PVP folks like me are going to be organizing 4v4 teams for the new arenas. They should really not wait unitl Monday to announce that such a major patch is or is not dropping the next day.

Personally, I'm fine with saying no more super queing 8 for the sake of the community(and for the sake of my sanity, 8 55s to comm cap before 2.4:eek:), although what's the point if others don't take the same pledge? The future of pvp on TEH is not 8v8 ranked or the normal que, hopefully it's the 4v4 ranked que. I just hope lots of smaller guilds, and large guilds that don't que ranked now are making plans and looking to the arrival of 4v4 ranked. If BW doesn't screw up anything else, hopefully the vast majority of 4 man groups will be running in ranked and the solo heros without a guild/ friends will be in solo ranked. Those who feel like voice chat is cheating, those that hate premades, those who can't be bothered to acquire any gear ever, the weak trolls who spend their time running their mouth in chat instead of pushing buttons to play the game will all hopefully have the normal games to themselves. Have fun. As far as the other childish things go, trolls are going to be trolls ignore it and move on.
  5. I'd be fine with the change, but I would strongly suggest tying an interrupt back onto the leap for the anni tree, probably on the close quarters box, which is in the 4th tier. The reason being, the lowered cooldown on leap and its use as an interrupt is a very important utility benefit for anni, especially for pve (i hate pve, but just saying they will cry hard.)
  6. You didn't mention it, so just in case you don't know, you should be converting your normal comms to ranked comms which has a 4500 cap. The conversion requires you to be at valor 40.

  8. Lol, I'm not trolling, but I'm fairly sure you are. If not, I'm getting the impression it would do you a world of good to level some other classes / ACs and find out how they play. No one can except to be successful without understanding their enemy.

That's the nature of harpoon, it takes a second to activate and for the wire to reach you, u can easily cover 8 meters in this time but the ability went off at 30 m. 2. cleanse / evasion (concealment ops even have evasion built in on their roll) 3. sniper in marksmen spec could have hit u with a 45 percent accuracy debuff.
  10. There isn't an AC in this game that with a decent player at the wheel is incapable of getting invited to someone's premade, especially for regs. I really don't get what your saying. The point was for group ranked people will want to run the right comp. If you don't have the right comp on, but still four people you can just que for normals and get the dailies/ weeklies done. There is going to be a lot of crying from the solo queing / premade hating crowd once they start fighting 4 man premades in reg 4v4s. But honestly, even then they have the option to que solo ranked where no premades are present, so I'm fine with it.

  12. Im not sure about the past couple weeks, but Incon and PM were queing Mondays and Weds between 9-11 ish. There were occasionally some other teams as well, but not enough, I'm sure they would be glad to get some games in against someone different.
  13. same, sometimes combat stealth doesn't put u out of combat. Try using cleanse or evasion with it to remove dots, also don't have dots on the oppenent
  14. They were probably carnage speced with Berserk up. 30% alacrity for the next 6 hits.
  15. If he's a vanguard that shouldn't work with shoulder cannon. If not, people still need to learn not to stand on top of the node. Stand far enough away that the op has to sap and roll for over 2 seconds to get to the node, at which point you can wait out the stun and hit them before they finish. Now, an assassin is a different story with phase walk, but after you break the first their second stun has to channel (interrupt it) or they have to restealth to sap you (again get away from the node and their phase walk is down so they have to run to the node.) If there are 2 stealthers, well its 2v1 they should get the node.

  17. Exactly, it takes away any incentive from solo ranked. If I'm online without anyone to group up with for 4 man ranked, I have a decision, que for normal's and complete the daily/weekly or que ranked. If solo ranked gives normal comms, why would I que for it, at least until I finish the daily/weekly? And to the poster saying real pvpers don't care about rewards, actually for the first several weeks people will be grinding the new gear or the newly cheaper old gear (conqueror). Very few are going to decide to slow down that grind on purpose. The goal should be to get a ton of people quickly into the solo ranked que at the launch of 2.4 so that the matchmaking system can actually work instead of what happened with 8x8 ranked. Limiting the rewards from ranked games does the opposite and makes zero sense imo.
  18. /shrug The way I see it, it's not that big of a deal. There are only going to be a couple of legitimate reasons to not be in the one of the ranked ques. 1) You have 1 or 2 friends on and just can't find a fourth to que 4x4 ranked, and just *have* to play with those 2 friends. 2) You don't have full partisan and need to quickly get some pieces in regs first where you won't loss ranking while being undergeared. 3) You need an objective pvp fix. But honestly after playing the same 3-5 warzones thousands of times the past year and a half, who isn't ready for something different.
  19. 3 MM snipers and an op healer. Snipers spread out 20-25m from each other to prevent obliterates between targets (making the maras walk a few meters) and save entrench for if the smashers try to focus them (60 % aoe reduction). Knockbacks, roots, aoe mezzes. Have a designated area for the healer to stand and rotate dropping an orbital on that spot. The marauder's team has zero ways of moving around the other team to stack them up, no knockbacks, no pushes or pulls, plus with so many entrenches it would be hard to even get a force choke/roar off to get them out of cover. Won't always work, but there are counters to different comps. We'll see once it goes live I guess. The thing with smash is, don't stack up, make smash be a single target dps as well.
  20. I disagree with the change. Not being able to repec for 8x8 ranked would have been a good move. But normal random warzones? Respeccing before a match started was a QoL improvement for normals.

  22. Valor and legacy levels are not accurate measurements of skill. Also, when arenas go live, the first game will be everyone's first arena in swtor. The fact is more people need to be queing for solo ranked and group ranked if the matchmaking system is going to work. After a couple days or weeks, if plenty of people que up, the matchmaking should even the matches out.

    True, but top burst in PVE should translate to burst in pvp. At least one would think.
