  1. Just to be sure, i want to get this right: BioWare made a teaser video for Makeb last year that showed an assassin in a cut-scene performing a move that looked like an overhead saber strike. You took this to mean that this ability would be included in the Makeb game update. After a year of patch notes, PTS and a beta--with no mention of said ability--you were surprised when you downloaded the patch and said ability did not show up? And you feel spurned enough to post on the forums? Did I get that right?
  2. From someone on the subreddit: http://imgur.com/uSSAMq0
  3. My patch downloaded fine, but I still hate you.
  4. Just go on spreading lies why don't you. I guarantee the hours played to hit max level in SWTOR is more than a lot of MMOs out there. I know for a fact Guild Wars 2 is faster to max level, and I imagine WoW is faster, especially with heirloom gear. Also, if you do the recruit-a-friend option in WoW I've seen people gain 50 levels in an evening. What was your other absurd point? Oh yes--that this MMO is easy. Tell that to people I'm always helping with boss fights to progress their story. I'll give you that there games out there with more intense challenges both in lvleing and endgame, but few of them rely on linear progression. Can't kill Hogger in WoW? Drop the quest and move on to something else. Here, you're forced to overcome the boss to progress. Raiding in this game might not be as intense as some others, but I certainly wouldn't call it easy.
  5. ^This. Only this time, can someone please let me know what the exploit is before it gets patched?
  6. New Cartel Market item: Male Enhancement Adds bulk and definition to character's codpiece. 120CC
  7. Really, I pray they do bring it back so these people will GET OFF THE SWTOR FORUMS. : : Suggestion : : Make one single SWG thread that people can continue to post to and discuss issues related to that game. That way, you don't continue to clog the SWTOR forums with these discussions.
  8. The game just flows so much better with the boosted XP rates. You don't lose track of your class story under an avalanche of side quests.
  9. I'm happy about it for different reasons. I love the class stories, but really--there is enough of them. With the current 8 in game, I could play them for years to come. What this MMO needs is more content that brings people together, not content that separates them.
  10. I rarely use the Heroic Moment, but I'll admit the legacy abilities do come in handy for very tough fights. That said, I really wish they'd do more with this as well. Maybe have those abilities on a 5-minute cool down and only usable with a companion. I think it would add an element of fun to grinding quest mobs, and remove some of the tedium from the "kill 40 of this" bonus quests.
  11. I wish the SWG fans would go find an emulator or something and cease clogging up the SWTOR forums. Its been said that SWG was basically a glorified chat room. I get the impression that the people who used to play this game have made haunting the SWTOR forums their new form of entertainment, as its a closer approximation of what they liked about SWG vs actually playing SWTOR. Now if only BioWare would work virtual interior decorating into the forums, these people could be right at home.
  12. 1. This game is successful. It's making boatloads of money through micro-transactions. They're not going to shut it down. 2. LucasArts has never been deeply involved with the development, and I imagine if there are people at LA that are somehow crucial to SWTOR, BioWAre will do its best to pick them up. 3. As others have stated, Disney is looking to license the Star Wars IP for game development. This completely mitigates their risk, and publishers just pay them to use the name/IP. I'm certain EA paid plenty, probably with a minimum 5-year agreement, and will continue to renew so long as this game is profitable (see #1).
  13. I'll stop asking for WoW features when people on these forums stop asking for SWG features.
  14. I keep hearing these slippery-slope arguments (which is poor form to be sure) indicating that somehow CRC rep is an attempt to extract even more money from players. I never saw it as such. Its an additional reward for the players willing to spend on cartel packs. Those players will inevitably accrue CRC rep, and gain access to some pretty neat items--I'd personally love to have the eyepatch for my smuggler but I don't buy cartel packs so you know what? I won't get the eyepatch. I'll wear something else, and go waste my money on more Major XP boosts.
  15. Take off all your gear and run the gray content. I'm sure that will be more challenging for you.
  16. Way to show up and spoil our Musco lovefest troll. Also, if the biggest thing you can find to complain about is crafting, the game must be in a pretty good place.
  17. Equipment Modification Interface I'd like an equipment interface that would allow me to easily see gear as well as mods/enhancements/armor/augments. Perhaps it's a larger window that shows all the slots. Maybe a toggle that pops them all out at once. All I know is I have a hell of a time going back and forth between my inventory and mod windows trying to figure out what I need to upgrade. Ship Upgrade Comparison Tooltips And while I'm at it, when I go to buy ship upgrades from the vendor can I please get a comparison tooltip with what I already have?
  18. For responding to even the whiniest posts ... For always correcting overinflated expectations ... For standing in the fire when its the only way to quell the flames ... ... the SWTOR community of players /salutes you.
  19. Honestly, the game does not need anymore single-player focused content, or single-player focused people. It's an MMO. The focus needs to be on content to conquer and explore as a group. Thanks for sharing your feelings OP, but it sounds like you might be more well-suited to single-player RPGs.
  20. This should be at the beginning of your post, or in your forum signature. As a marauder, I've ended up taking a lot of heat from mobs that a new tank was not picking up. Quite recently I ran a flashpoint in which the tank died on every boss fight and the three of us remaining (2 dps and healer) finished the job.
  21. One ability with highly situational utility isn't going to make or break combat, but I respect that they're trying to keep the number of abilities limited. A certain playerbase may see this as a "dumbing down" but that's only true if the challenge of the fights is coming form being a master of keybinding. Many MMOs releasing nowadays are drastically limiting the number of active abilities you need to keep on the quickbar. That doesn't necessarily make combat easier--in many cases the newer systems demand greater situational awareness and reaction time to master. I think the real reason MMOs are moving towards more active combat is because most people find it more fun and visceral.
