  1. Sounds like you are on the right track. I'd continue allocating points the way you are, and when you get to level 20 dump all of your points into swimming.
  2. Agree 100% - This guy speaks the truth. You wanted a dps class that can heal - you got it. Now you're crying about getting more abilities to help you survive better. Make a PT, then you can come here and cry about something else. "Wah, when I'm specced in ST, my damage sucks - and I got no heals!" Here's come the Wahhhhhbulance
  3. PT is a great class, there's just something weird about meleeing with a pistol. And I'm not too crazy about the looks of our armours. But, mechanics wise - it's a solid class.
  4. nvm I can see how getting Super Heated Rail can really help with venting heat. Thanks all for your replies!
  5. Sweet. I thought at the very least I would have to spam flame burst after taking the 3 point talent to ensure the "snare" was always "on".
  6. So in looking at the Pyro tree - I'm assuming that you need to take Superheated Gas and Rail to ensure the snare is always "proccing"?
  7. I notice we have 2 snares. 1 in the Shield Tech Tree - Neurel Overload which procs off Ion Gas Cylinder and the other: Sweltering Heat in the Pyrotech line that procs off Combustible Gas Cylinder. Question: Does one proc more or is easier to trigger than the other? Thanks!
  8. I notice our first robot that comes with ship - can heal for pve. He also comes with no gear - what stat should I increase in order to get the most out of his healing? Thanks!
  9. Auto face in pvp is lame. Auto face in pve is for the lazy. I'll admit in pve I do get lazy and like the convenience. But imo it doesn't belong in pvp. If lag is your problem - buy a better computer.
  10. I think instanced pvp is boring and stupid. I would much prefer one world dedicated to world pvp with destructible/capturable assets, politics, faction wars. Give me a reason to pvp and I will continue to subscribe to the game.
  11. Excellent post. Sums up my thoughts exactly. Hope the dev's are listening!
  12. Mako looks really hot as a slave girl. But she's a goodie two shoes. And it wrecks the immersion for me since I'm trying to play the BH class as the dark side. I find Kaliyo is really cool as a "bad girl", she lets me role play the dark side which I like. Too bad we can't choose the "temperment" of our companions to fit our playstyle/personalities.
  13. This post is a joke right? I mean seriously I have played every single class - and Vanguard is amazing.
  14. I've noticed that my companion gets new abilities as I level - but I can't seem to figure out how to move them around. They seemed "fixed" on the mini bar and if you expand them. It seems I can turm them on or off, but not move them? The reason I'm asking is because in the mini bar for the companion you get 4 abilities. Do they use all of their abilities or just the ones hotkeyed on their mini bar? Can I switch these 4 out? If I expand the mini bar for my companion it takes over my whole bottom row - for my main chracter hot keys. Thanks.
  15. I'm surprized I haven't seen any threads on this. When I enter a pvp match I assume that I would be brought back to the place where I entered. In 3 of my pvp matches out of 5 (I'm only lvl 16) I have been placed in an area that is completely different than what I entered the pvp match in. 1) Is there anyway to prevent this? 2) Should I que up for pvp matches from a rested area? or a particular area? This is really pissing me off. I'll be working on a major quest/story line - enter pvp and when I get back I'm 5-10 mins away in travel from where I left. The reason I'm posting is because this last time I was sent back to the Black Talon mission generator - when I had qued up for pvp in Balmarra.
  16. I always chuckle when people say the only thing that matters is level 50. Not everyone plays to be max level in 2 weeks. Some people like to actually enjoy their class no matter what level they are. And yes good skilled players will generally do well with any class they play. But the problem with your reasoning is that the majority of players are not that skilled, certain classes are easier to play and cater to more lower skilled players. Hence why they become known as "OP". They're just easier for the vast majority of players to do well with.
  17. I don't want to see any of the ranged classes get nerfed. I'd rather see Warriors get buffed. But I get the funny feeling BioWare doesn't really care about pvp balance. The game went through beta with tons of feedback from players - and this is how the game got released. As the old saying goes "actions speak louder than words"
  18. Wow, are you ever a witch. Do everyone a favor and stop posting. Ah, I got it, you're probably a guy playing as a female. I have a hard time believing any woman could be as anal as you.
  19. I don't understand when people say these kinds of things. It's selfish, "I'm happy, so leave my class alone, and I don't care if your game experience sucks just suck it up and MAYBE things will get better for you at 50" The fact is ALL players regardless of class want to enjoy the game experience from 1 to 50 If it means boosting other classes or toning down others to match content - then so be it. Too bad devs didn't do this during beta though, makes me wonder if their really paying attention to player feedback or not.
  20. I play both, and there is indeed a difference between the 2 abilities, if you are arguing there is not - you're either stupid or you have an agenda. Project has a 2 sec animation before it "goes off" while the Inq's Shock is instant. The Sith animations just seem to play better. I'll be sticking with my Sith.
