  1. They'll just do what they're doing now with every other topic and tell everyone to post in a single post if they are trading - after all, it's easier to find something if it's all crammed together in a lump instead of organized into separate categories.
  2. That's not what he said. He said it will cost them subscriptions. Community keeps people playing who would otherwise quit. Server forums build community. Therefore, no server forums will cost retained subscriptions in the long run. It doesn't require someone actively quitting in response to something for that thing to have an effect.
  3. It's strange how so many people are reacting to the "hard to find" part of his post and totally ignoring the "crappy platformer" aspect.
  4. I hope we get plenty of characters, since i am considering "LegacyNamesAreStupid".
  5. Most MMOs allow spaces in your name, so the question of last name is moot.
  6. That's absurd. Most people do not play 24 hours a day, so this would be an absurd waste.
  7. Then I'm sure you wouldn't mind if your character was named "Toon 127823412".
  8. Correct. It's not. But last names are. Why would you combine a RP feature and a non-RP feature when the proper functioning of each interferes with the other?
  9. That's a global name. Plenty of games have those and it's fine. It's the decision to have that instead of a last name that is the problem. And the Legacy system would still be able to do that even without the stupid linking of global and last names. That the game has no last name functionality and instead put something cumbersome in it's place.
  10. As someone who doesn't like chocolate, this chocolate cake has nothing to offer me.
  11. The fact that it reduces the chance of us ever getting a real surname system instead of this clumsily kludged together surname/global name hybrid.
  12. He also should not have been named Lando Solo.
  13. You don't need to do every mission on every planet. Having alternate paths of advancement is normally considered a good thing for a game to have. Take those ideas and put them together in your brain. You only outlevel if you do everything, and the game is not designed for you to do everything on every character.
  14. Amen. Under normal circumstances, 2 missions a day is pretty good. I would have a problem if I couldn't make reasonable progress playing like that. And lets be honest here, if you're a company who gets subscription fees for making new content, then players who go through that content rapidly are not the customers you want to chase.
  15. I haven't seen any big negatives. I'll resubscribe if there are parts of the storyline I still want to see.
  16. I've started hitting any power I want repeatedly until the animation goes off. It's annoying, but I doubt it is anything more than too many people in too few zones. I'll judge more harshly when population numbers are down and spread out more.
  17. Oh no. You might have to whip it out and measure the real one. Because they are toxic customers who drive other people away.
  18. How exactly would that work, given the fact that the computer is not psychic and cannot predict which direction people will move after the bolt is fired. So, either they track, miss, or move so fast that the battles look dull.
  19. Because there are lines? No seriously, go take a plane anywhere on the planet over the next 4 days and then come back here and complain about the lines.
  20. It's not unusual to get 10 or more in a single conversation. If you're running normal quests with people they pile up like mad, I don't know how you would only get 8 in a flashpoint. I know that for each conversation option where you can get points, I have been getting 2/4 if in a 2 many group and 3/6 if in a 3 man group. I'm not certain if this goes up to 4/8 in a 4 man group, but it's possible, and each of those can happen multiple times in a conversation with an NPC.
  21. #1 Why does so much of the dialog make bounty hunters sound like assassins? They aren't in real life, and that's not the function they served in the lore. #2 What's up with all the carbonite. In ESB, that was an innovative thing to try and they were uncertain if it would work. They just used it because there was a machine that did that for some industrial purpose in the Cloud City, not because it was a 3000 year old bounty hunter tradition.
  22. It's on the preferences screens - probably under UI. I'd be more specific, but not in front of my game computer now. When you turn it on, it shows all 3 together when you mouse over.
