Sorry, this is something I've always wondered about. Let's compare a dps mercenary and a sniper. Would the sniper have better dps just because it is purely dps and marc can heal, or would they be equal dps-wise? This is in general, not just between these two.

So, this is going to be based purely on opinion. I want to play as many classes and roles as I can and have them different. So, I'm not going to play any mirror classes. (ie. Commando and mercenary). So far I have a commando and a jugernaut, and I really want a scoundrel scrapper because of the final ability, sorry I dont know the name. They also look really cool from what I've seen. Yet I am questioning having two republic blaster healing classes. These are the eight classes I THINK im going to start with- Commando (First character), shadow(opposite of commando)Juggernaut(tank) sniper(for the dps). I also want a scoundrel in there somewhere too. Any thoughts on what I should do? Sorry this is my first post in a while and I'm semi-new. Thanks!

Which one of the combinations (sniper/scoundrel, or operative/gunslinger) do you guys would think would be the most fun? Sniper looks a bit bland, but I haven't played one so I won't say anything more. Gunslinger looks fun, but maybe a bit too flashy (I haven't played this one either). Operatives look cool, but repetitive with the shiv stabbing (got to level 12) and scoundrels look pretty good overall, but I haven't played this either. Thanks for the help.

This is pretty simple. I'm looking at the imperial classes, and I don't know which one to choose. So just talk about all the different imperial classes you personally enjoy playing on, and why you would recommend them to anyone. You can pretty much talk about anything related. Hey I am trying to decide what imperial class I should make. On the republic side I have a high level commando, so I want a lightsaber class. My friend is going to be a marauder, (Don't worry about roles) and I don't know which class to be. Sorcerer pros/cons I want to be a sorcerer because of the lightning abilities. They seem cool. I don't want to be a sorcerer because they might be too much like commando in the way that they are long-range healers..... Juggernaut pros/cons- I want to be a juggernaut because going up and hacking someone with a lightsaber while using force choke sounds awesome I dont want to be one because I hear the dps is crap and that's the role I have to be.... Assassin pros/cons I want to be an assassin because of the stealth and double-bladed lightsaber. They are also almost completely opposite of the commando class. I don't want to be one because I have a fear that the high level gear might look dumb.... and also that I leveled one to level 23 on a different server and don't feel like redoing it... lol sorry it's not just being lazy So it would be a great help if you just advised me on what imperial class to play. Please choose from these 3 classes and tell me all about your character of one of these. Thank you!

I queued one time (level 50 flashpoint). Our tank was a vanguard, and I was suspicious when I saw his level 42-43 gear. After dying a ton, I started watching what the guy was doing. He never taunted once, and kept using his first ability. (Sorry I don't know what it is called it the trooper). I asked him to please start taunting, and he asked what a taunt was. That was the first thing he said, and I already knew that it was going to be rough. I explained the taunting to him and then he started taunting. Even after this, I noticed he was not using his speed boost thin in the tank tree. (Don't know what that is called either). I asked him what tree he was in and he was clueless. Yet again, I explained something to him and that's wen he decided to say that he was in all of the trees 0_o. So we had a tank who at the start- 1: didn't know how to taunt 2: had extremely bad gear for his level 3: wasn't in the tank tree. We did struggle through the FP though . At the end he gave me some black hole stuff so we were all good

Hi I am thinking about making a juggernaut for my next character. My main is a commando, so I was looking for a class that was not like the trooper (they were light side). I looked at sorcerer, and they seem like the long range healer like the commando. Assassin wasn't really how I like to play, though it was pretty fun with its mix of lightsaber and force abilities. Marauders seem to limited to me because they can only DPS, so I decided on juggernaut. I was having fun but I was wondering before I start really playing on him about the whole thing. Are all of their abilities just to hack and slash, or are there some other things? I would also like to know about the story of warriors, te heavy armor and if it makes the class to much like a commando, and all of the small things that don't seem to matter. Sorry if any of this is confusing or wrong I'm still kinda new to the game. Thanks! I would also like to hear about all of your juggernauts or other lightsaber characters... I've been trying to choose an Imperial class to be. I have a commando on the republic side, and I am looking for another class to be that is different from the commando. I like dealing lots of damage, but not being completely focused on it. I have tried out an assassin and didnt really like it. (sorry to all of the assassins out there) If you could help me decide what class to be that would be great. It's ok to say what class you played and why you thought it was fun.Thank you!

I also agree with this. If I was walking around the fleet and saw someone with this title, it would mean nothing to me. Great idea.

Hey I was just wondering what class I should make next? I have a 40 commando and a 23 assassin and I am really enjoying playing on them both... but I sort of want to find a medium between the two. I thought of smuggler-scoundrel, because it can stealth and heal. Before I decide this I need to know about the story line, best dps spec (I know I want to be dps) and all the stuff about scoundrels. If you have had bad experiences with this class, tell me why and what you would recommend instead. I was also thinking about bounty hunter powertech, but tell me how you feel about this.
