  1. Yes because there is such an incentive to go out an explore on this game isn't there? ... I swear I'm beginnign to learn the names of these tireless Bioware defenders on this forums. They are simply here everytime i visit and are always saying the same exact stuft and always attack posters personally who are offering very valid suggestions on how to improve this game. Comments like: I think maybe what you meant to say was: "I'm 50 and I desperately need Bioware to spoon feed me and hold my hand" I'm getting really tired of constantly having to read this stuff. I wish you people who take game critisicm so personally and always use it as an excuse to attack posters personally would just go play the game you love so much. You bring nothing of value to this forum but needless ridicule and excuses.
  2. blah blah blah More excuse making then telling the player to quit. I am so tired of these /yawn
  3. I never played EQ - though it sounds similiar to my Final Fantasy 11 experience. I'm not sure if I like the whole corpose retrieval thing...but I will deffinitely agree with you I loath this new approach to bosses on MMORPGs where it's just a rinse and repeat wipe fests until you learn the so called "mechanics" of the fight. I miss the good o'l days when bosses were all about sustaining your ability to effectively play your role in combat for long periods of time - managing your mana/health/abilities properly and needing to have the best gear possible to effectively win. Those to me were far more memorable and enjoyable than the modern style of MMORPgs, where it's just wipe over and over till you learn some cheesy mechanic that enables you to win.
  4. That or you are just very lucky. It can take me and the million other people on the chat channel hours to find a tank...and that's IF we find one at all. I think the real problem is over-dependence of groups on certain specs. I would really like to see this out-dated model thrown out and replaced with a newer more cohesive strategy for grouping.
  5. I really don't see how a bunch of bored frustrated people spamming the general chat on the fleet brings anything of value to the game Nor is losing that aspect of SWTOR a "downside". Making the group-content after 50 easier to access for casual players so they can actually do stuff instead of being bored and spamming chat would bring way way more to this game than a heavily advertised chat channel.
  6. lol...well obviously I do have to explain it to you. And it's you who seems to have the short attention span and forgets what started this little squabble we are having. It was you who inserted yourself into my discussion and accused me of trolling when I pointing out the hypocrisy of that other person who was attacking me for posting when that's exactly what he was doing as well - and used the lame excuse of being at work to defend his hypocrisy. NOw if you feel I'm "attacking" when I defend myself when you call me a troll I don't know what to tell you. Also, if I had a dollar for every SWTOR sympathizer who said he was only posting cause he/she "was at work" i'd be a very rich man.
  7. This has nothing to do with winning on the internet. I'm trying to explain to you why it is hypocrisy to attack people for posting on the forums while you yourself are posting on the forums. That isn't stripping anything down. It's simply explaining to you the concept of hypocrisy, and why are you doing it when you attack others for posting when you are posting yourself.
  8. I've already addressed this argument in earler posts Couver. Don't really feel like repeating them. You can scroll up and read them if you like
  9. Sorry but that is not opinion. It is fact. It is hypocrisy to attack other people for posting on the forums when you are doing the exact same thing yourself, posting on the forums. That is the defintion of hypocrisy. Again....Fact not opinion. Now you can kid yourself and make excuses as to why your posting is more legitamate than others, but it's dellusional self-justifcation. And just because someone is posting an opinion you don't agree with, doesn't mean the post is any less legitamate than your own.
  10. I'm hoping the Legacy thing will be cool coming next month. That and a new and effective LFG tool may help this game's endgame out a lot. Time will tell. I sure hope it does, cause it deffinitely needs it lol
  11. Headcapper, if anyone is making troll posts it's people like you who like to attack people for doing the exact same thing they are doing, posting on a forum. It's hypocrisy, and I don't care if you are doing it at work or from Mars, it doesn't change this. My life is fine and none of your business, and the last thing I need from you is advice on how to improve it. Thanks
  12. I hardly played this game constantly. In fact I only leveled up when my friend was online because we leveled together.... I was still capped level within the first month. Both of us took our time, leveled our crafts - kept our gear upgraded and even would take days off from leveling to farm credits. So this silly assertion of yours that only people who do nothing but play constantly with no lives are going to find themselves bored with nothing to do on this game but roll alts after reaching 50. Stop making these stupid generlizations about people. And no one is saying you should base your life around this game. You are just talking nonsense that has nothign to do with this thread or what the OP is saying. If you want to discuss the lifestyles of other people on this forum and alterntaive entertainment options fine, but don't direct them at me because I really don't have any interest in either of these subjects lol
  13. Jellison, the fact you see many posts stressing the same point just proves that is a serious problem that Bioware needs to address.
  14. Yes the "I'm at work" is the typical line of defense the SWTOR defenders like to use when they get their logic of attacking posters for being on the forums thrown back at them. And again, I guess I'll repeat myself for the thousandth time on this subject. No one is asking for SWTOR to have as much over-all content at launch as other games that have been out for a decade. That would be unreasonable, and no one thinks SWTOR should have as many areas or dungeons as these games. But it should however have an interesting and competetive endgame that compares with the other games out there. That is the difference, and the fallacy in your excuse, and why trying to go back in time a decade to excuse this game's weak endgame doesn't work and proves nothing except the defenders of this game will ignore reason to try and cover the game's faults. Also, I didn't any where come close to rushing through this game. It rushed me lol So you are just wrong about that as well. And I have never made any posts on LOTRO or Final Fantasy XI forums about being bored. Sorry. I had many complaints, but boredom was never one. I dont' even think I made a post about boredom on the WoW forums....lol(I was probably too busy complaining about the PvP imbalances or terrible combat) So your generalization falls flat - as they so often do. So you can scour the forums on either of those games to your ever-ending hearts content. It won't prove a damn thing. Also, I didn't even post about this game during beta. I didn't even play beta. So please stop contributing your false assumptions about me.
  15. I did bring up FF11. In fact it was the first game I brought up to bolster my point. The only reason I've been talking about LOTRO last couple of post is that was the example others chose to focus on for obvious reasons. So you are incorrect. Also, it took forever to level up on LOTRO when it first came out. People moaned about the grind nonstop, and if you reached cap level quickly after LOTRO's launch, you play video games entirely way too much. Your computer must have a toilet installed on it lol So you are incorrect on that too. RoI is a completely different, and LOTRO is a lot different game now than it used to be. And if it took you 2 months to level up to 50 on this game all I can say is you 1. hardly ever play. 2. You played alts. 3. You are very slow. It is much faster to level to cap on this game than other MMORPGs, espeically the ones released long ago - and that does mean there was less of a need for them to have a good endgame at launch rather you admit it or not. That is just a fact, and why these constant attempts to compare this game to games of the long past is so stupid to do. This is the same old excuse making I hear time and time again. So much so my ears almost bleed when I hear it now. No one is saying SWTOR should have had as much overall content as games that have been out for a decade. But they should have an interesting and entertaining endgame that is competetive with other games out there - especially if they are going to make it so fast and easy to reach level 50 - which wasn't the case with the MMORPGs released 10 years ago at launch, no matter what you may say or pretend here on this forum. Your argument is inaccurate. it is the the same exagerated misleading comparisons the typical SWTOR defender attempts to use on these forums to make excuses for a very lacking endgame experience. YOu should just admit it SWTOR has a bad endgame and move on. It servs nothing good to try and make excuses for it and make ridiculous comparisons to games at launch released a decade ago when MMORPGs were a completely different genere.
  16. I have the same opinion as you that this game gets incredibly boring after you reach level 50. It was a fun game until that point, then it's appeal starts to rapidly spiral downward. Adding an effective LFG tool would be a nice addition, since there is almost nothing to so solo on this game after you hit 50 cept regurgitate the same old tedious dailies, which becomes anything but fun. So making the group content easily accessible for everyone at all times while they play would deffinltey help. Plus they need to introduce some new features that give players incentives to do things after 50. Perhaps the Legacy System they are introducing next month will offer some of this. Time will tell.
  17. Stop saying I'm being aggressive lol I'm not being aggressive with you. And yes, I let myself get sucked into this stupid debate over how this game compares with games of 10 years ago at launch, so I'll take responsiblity for that. It's a stupid irreleveant discussion I should have just avoided all together. But anyways, it doesn't change the fact the post you /signed agreed with my original post and my iniital point, and that is that this game's endgame is not typical and other MMORPGs out there (least all the ones I have played) had a lot more endgame content and features than this one does. I'm done discussing the whole 10 years ago at launch thing. You can make excuses for this game's lack of an interesting endgame if you want - that is your right, but it's a tedious pointless debate I've lost interest in.
  18. uh, Yes, he was, sorry. At least with the original intent of my post. He was agreeing with me that other MMORPGs had more endgame content and features. Which was my initital point and why I even wrote that post to begin wtih. The fact is I was replying to a poster who said this game's endgame was basically the same as other MMORPGs out there, which was false - and why I wrote that long post explaining how the other MMORPGs I have played had a lot more. This whole excuse-making phase of trying to compare the game to other games at launch released a decade ago came later, and really had nothing to do with my initial point or why I even wrote the post you all went crazy over to begin with.
  19. Tooterfish, if I had a dollar for every hour I've spent begging for a tank on the Republic Fleet I wouldn't have to work next week lol It's not just you.
  20. Yes and I liked that thread too. And if you go read it you will see that I participated already I think i'm like on the second or third page.
  21. Yep. I had exactly the same problem Skaidar. The leveilng up on this game is way too fast, and unless you just focus on the class quests chances are you will outlevel the content long before you are done with it. And if you take the time to do everything on a planet, you will easily outlevel entirely the next planet before you even finish the one you are on. It's a real problem with the way this game is designed, especially considering how weak it's endgame is. If anything kills this game, it will be the combination of these two problems.
  22. I enjoyed it up until I hit level 50. And I defend this game where I think it deserves defending, and I trash it where I think it deserves trashing. I don't try and make excuses for the things they did wrong, and I give them credit for the things they did right.
  23. lol funny thing is the guy who's post you /signed actually agreed with me. And if you think i'm being aggressive I don't even know what to say.... lol I hope we never meet when I actually am aggressive O.o And if anything is entertaining to watch it's you having to put words in my mouth and pretend I said my view is the only one that counts which I never once even came anywhere close to saying. In fact I consistently say reasonable people can disagree.
  24. I think they see the game's flaws too. Instead of admitting them though they try to make excuses for them. But sure, be sweet all you want, especially to me
  25. The problem isn't how I view it Brool. The problem is it's boring I would have no problem with it being a starting point if it was an interesting and fun starting point.
