  1. Security keys are pointless yeah. Why would anyone want to steal a Star Wars account?
  2. Just received a response! I wish I could say my issue was resolved. But alas they refused to refund my tokens or replace the item. Their reasoning - Because i took 2 days to open a ticket. To make matters even more annoying, during the GM help chat 4 days ago the GM even asked me the length of time between purchasing and creating the ticket and I told him. So they spent 4 days investigating something i'd already told them and came to no other conclusions and 12 total days to answer me. What a fail. I only made the ticket 2 days later in some sort of vein hope that I would be helped so i could enjoy a bit of pvp with a battlemaster set before my sub expired, initially not even bothering because of all the stuff i'd heard from friends/guildies and the forum - I.e that support are USELESS and WONT help you.
  3. Oh my thats a classic. You make a post mocking me for doing something wrong. You realise you made a mistake and actually got your facts wrong and edit your post. You don't say sorry, you just hide the fact that you were wrong. And you wonder why i'm laughing at you? Are you like 12?
  4. Ok, seems like its all negative experiences so far......well pretty awful experiences actually. The worrying thing is, this doesn't just occur for items and everyone i've talked to regarding support has always had the same automated response followed by weeks of nothing, leading up to a grand finale of nothing. What sort of message does this send to your players!?
  5. awww and you even used italics to try and seem even more high and mighty. laughing at you.
  6. So on 02/02/2012 I opened a ticket. My issue - I purchased the wrong Battlemaster item. I wanted to see what the chest pieces looked like before buying, but clicked on the wrong version of the chest when doing so. I didn't think that previewing the item looks would actually buy the item, but turns out it does. I received an automated response straight away asking several questions. I responded with the answers. 10/02/2012 - I noticed my ticket had still not been answered. So i updated my current ticket asking for a response as it had been over a week. An hour or so later and I get a GM chatting to me. The Gm asked me lots of questions about my item and then said they would investigate and restore the item. I was a bit confused as to what they needed to investigate and why I was being told they would look into restoring the item.....so made sure to clarify to the GM in the chat that I had bought the wrong item, had the wrong one in my inventory and just needed it swapping for the dps version or exchanged for tokens. The GM said he understood and would get right onto it, it would be quick and i wouldn't be waiting long as i'd had no response in over a week previously. It's now 4 days on from that conversation, my ticket has been closed by the GM's and I have the same item sat in my invetory. Anyone else had experiences like this with customer support? Would like to know if i'm actually going to get my item exchanged or if im wasting my time trying to get some 'support'.
  7. Patch 1.2 you say? Perhaps we can expect things that are broken to be fixed, required stuff that is missing may get added and maybe we can hope for some end game pvp and properly tuned pve content? OR Maybe we can expect the patch to break more things than it fixes, turn Ilum into even more of a joke and get excited about changes noted in the patch notes that arn't actually fixed. Welcome to SW!
  8. Why does someone always come up with this garbage.. If Star wars was released at the same time as Wow then I don't think anyone would be complaining. The fact is though, we are now many years on since Wow was released. To simplify it, here's an example using something you may be familiar with. I'm a TV salesman. I sell you a new TV. Only this new TV has all the problems associated with TV's made 6 years ago - it's not in HD, it doesn't come with free channels built in and it sure as hell can't play anything in 3D. You're not happy with your purchase, quite rightly, as you'd expect in the year 2011-2012 to receive a TV with all of the above mentioned features for the top dollar you just paid for it. My response to you when you enter the shop in search of your refund is 'Well, Tv's made 6 years ago were this bad.......stop complaining' ER WHATTT Key :- Tv = Star wars game. So yeah stop comparing something new to something made 6 years ago.
  9. Don't you read the patch notes? It's been fixed, twice! Oh wait.....THIS IS STAR WARS
  10. It's embarassing enough to have this many bugs in the game to begin with when it is released. To release patches that don't fix the things you note as fixing and that introduce more bugs than before......well there are no words for that level of incompetence.
  11. I use pve gear mixed with battlemaster pvp gear (4 set bonus). Vigilance spec. Overhead slash - 5.5k Plasma brand - 3k Bladestorm - 3.7k Master strike - 1.5k 1.5k, 4k Dispatch - 7.2k Those are the biggest crits i've seen. Would have been on badly geared light armor targets, with all my buffs running and 15% expertise buff in the case of the overhead slash and the dispatch. 99% accuracy, 30% crit, 85% surge
  12. They'll nerf the pvp gear. Let's face it, around about now is when Bioware devs are hitting level 50 and starting to pvp. Hahahaha im only joking. Or am i... Just arrogance on Bioware's part really - they assume they have created perfectly balanced end game pvp and that gear is just getting in the way of player skill prevailing. WRONG. Will just further emphasise which classes are more overpowered, which faction has the most numbers and generally annoy those that spent a good deal of time and effort obtaining Battlemaster and the respective pvp gear.
  13. I play a battlemaster jedi guardian. They do great dps if specced as Vigilance or Focus. Focus being primarily about burst aoe, with nice single target damage and Vigilance being sustained single target dps, which is equally as powerful. I only just tried dpsing and use a full set of columi dps gear with a few champion pieces thrown in. I've managed 400k damage, 30 killing blows in a warzone as Vigilance, which isn't bad at all considering that is 90% single target damage. I did need a healer with me to do that sort of damage though, as i seem to be quite squishy if focused cc'd, but that is probably due to my lack of expertise. So yeah i'd say they are very good for pvp as pure dps - and they are obviously excellent at tanking in pvp too.
  14. I use absorb mods in my pve gear. In tank spec my stats are - 51% damage reduction via armor 22% defense chance (28% with Riposte) 36% Shield chance 49% shield absorb and 61% shield absorb every 20 seconds for 6 seconds (via tank proc relic) Before i stacked absorb i had like 27% defense, 27% shield chance and like 35% absorb. I think the stats with shield mods kinda speak for themselves. Alot more bang for your buck with shield and less reliant on avoiding hits. Now when I don't avoid a hit theres a good chance im mitigating 50%-60% of it with my shield. I find the benefits of being less spikey and getting more for each point of absorb being the major selling points. Edit - Gear is full Rakata tank set, battlemaster tank weapon, augment slotted columi implants, tank shield absorb relic (from nightmare KP boss) with majority of armor slots using shield rating/shield absorb.
  15. What makes you think that? Where you said 'different Legacy options' i'm going to say 'more Legacy options'. I mean, we can safely assume that the higher your Legacy level the more unlocks/options/points to spend are going to be available to you. So basically, those with more alts and thus a higher Legacy level will have a clear advantage. It's not just a case of a couple of levels either, it's 10+ in most cases. So completely contradicting what the Developer said earlier. Hence why I asked for an explaination.
  16. Er yeah.... You kinda missed my point though. The Dev said there was a great balance between those that play alts and those that play 1 main character. As i showed with my example, there is a great imbalance. I'm level 17 and my friend is level 29. I've played loads more on my mian than he has, but he has alts.
  17. Cat clearly disapproved of your poor choice in graphics card. Seriously - You over-spent on the cpu and ram and left out the most important thing.
  18. Oh, my bad. He's actually legacy level 29, not 24. I've just hit 17. Really balanced?
  19. Can you please explain this to me then? I have a level 50 Jedi Guardian that has cleared all content in the game on Nightmare mode and has achieved Battlemaster rank in pvp. I have done everything you could possibly do on a main character and have done since the game released. My current legacy level is 17. A guild friend has 2 level 50 characters and a level 35 character. He has completed the same end game content as me, but only on one of his characters. He has not achieved any significant rank in pvp on any of his characters. His current legacy level, last time i asked was 24. Can you therefore explain, in view of what you posted (with a great balance between those that play 1 character and those that play multiple) why his legacy level is so much higher than mine?
  20. Nightmare is unfortunately very easy. No new mechanics as you may expect, just a few % shoved on here and there. Soa was a challenge on hard mode before the patch and impossible on Nightmare pretty much. We had to work hard to get the kill on Hard mode in 16 man and it felt like a promising start to raiding progression, with a challenging end boss on hard mode as you would expect. Normal did of course cater to the casuals very well in my opinion with the majority of the instance being easily doable, with Soa probably being a nice challenge. They patched it, we went in and 1 shot the Nightmare version - despite having to deal with several fight breaking bugs. (The pillar in last phase that is supposed to break the bosses shield, failed twice despite it being a direct hit)
  21. There is a reason all these threads keep appearing. People simply cannot believe, with good reason, that this issue has not been fixed yet. It was reported in BETA testing phases multiple times, yet still remains. Now because the content is so easy, this issue is not just 'hardcore' related. And that explains why we are seeing so many threads. The issue does prove one thing - it shows Biowares complete lack of capability to run a progressive mmo. Which is very disappointing. You cant let an issue like this remain live for over a month and Bioware should know that. Either they dont care, or they cant fix it. Either way its an epic fail in my eyes. And this issue is just one of so many more.....lol gj bioware. And in before 'wow releese waz wey worze' - My response - This is 2012, not 2004.
  22. That makes no sense at all. Each boss has 3 difficulty settings...... Like most things in this game, if you can call it that (most would call it a 'frustration'), it looks like it should work, but simply doesn't. You would expect given the 3 difficult settings that Nightmare would be tuned to be.....well..... a Nightmare. The truth is though that the developers put little thought into it, and assumed 'gief boss 10% moar hp here' would be enough to warrant the higher difficulty. They did not include more mechanics or come up with anthing unique at all. I'd like to point out as well that this isn't 2004. This isn't the first time people have seen raiding before. Even casuals have been trained on raiding bosses for years since wow released, so unless Bioware announces some changes or new content in 2-3 weeks i predict mass quanities of players leaving the game. Even casuals expect challenging content at end game.
  23. Do 16 man raids, the ones people actually care about. World firsts.....lol!
  24. Not true for me. I played Wow arena and thought it was great. I didn't have any decent pvp gear or play in the best combos but still had a blast because sometimes you can overcome odds like gear and class by simply being a better player and I enjoyed that challenge. If it was implemented here then obviously there are lessons to learn, like not giving gear rewards. Mounts, vanity items, titles are all fine, with a ladder ranking system capping it all off. I think most people just enjoy the part of making a team with friends, and fighting similar minded people in a controlled setting - whether or not they win or lose or get any shiney items.
