  1. Georg, this may mean 0 in the end, but brilliant statement. T-UP.

More like 2 thirds dont use forums or use the ticket system and put up with it, or people have quit and not said anything because of it.

With that being said 1 third who notice this issue out of all the copies sold, is actually a big number.

  2. Another thing which is a worry, what are they going to do when there is an Oceanic server. Will they offer aussies free transfers? I have just got 2 toons to 50 and i would not want to pay to transfer, when the swiftsure has a decent population 24/7. I doubt the aussie servers will actually be local and give a decent ping, we saw how telstra ****ed over WoW when they tried getting local servers here.
  3. I am North American, and I have played on Jekk Jekk Tarr since day 1. Little did I know that it would become an unofficial Oceanic server. (not such a bad thing, because I play in NA's "off hours" a lot).

However, if all the Aussies leave Jekk Jekk Tarr, Jekk Jekk Tarr will be ghostly. Will I be able to transfer to a higher pop server if that happens?

Cake is a lie; there is only pie.

That depends if they offer free transfers or not, i play on the swiftsure and have 2 lvl 50's and i would not want to pay for 2 toons to be transferred.

  4. May be a faction imbalance, but the PVP in ilum on my server (the swiftsure) republic are doing ok. On my jedi guardian i formed a full group and there were another group with us doing pretty well while being out numbered. We were able to zerg the map and cap points, there was no spawn camping with either of the sides being able to.
  5. I don't experience ability delay. As example on my Commando the casting for Medical Probe is 1.5s which means after the animation is complete you should the heal/green text above a persons head.

I do have wonder if in some regards people are used to playing WoW, Rift etc where you can essential animation skip to the next ability you want cast.

In SW:ToR an example is Master Strike which is a 3 second channeled ability and I don't see why a player should be able to cancel it and 1 second and still have the remaining damage applied, if you can cancel a channeled ability you should lose it remaining effects.

Anyone who played Rift will know you can animation using macros which really leads to people doing mass amounts of damage when they shouldn't.

SW:TOR by design is not meant to be a game where animations can be skipped it is meant to portray the cinematic feel of the movies.

There is already know issues with Project and Force Lighting when the damage is applied but that is really a separate issue which needs to be addressed.

You dont know what you are talking about. What you described is NOT the issue.

Watch some videos which have been posted.

  6. I think a faction imbalance gives the option for elite PVP'ers to roll on the republic for more of a challenge. If the elite players get bored of pretty much spawn camping because they purely outnumber the republic, maybe they will think of rolling on republic to challenge themselves a bit more. As another option i think bioware should alow a faction swap so players who would like to be on the under dogs can do so without going from 1-50 again. And ofcourse the faction swap to only their mirror spec.
  7. LOL ignorance isnt good. Yeah thats good for a system like that. Minimum requirements just means it will start it could be 1 fps for all its worth but it starts on it. Its a massive world he is rendering. 30-40 is good.

Massive world to be rendering? This game is heavily instanced, loading screen after loading screen. I will get 110+ fps in most areas then get a hit with a massive fps drop to 20 for like a second then it jumps back up. Warzones probably around 50 or 60 which is fine, but other people with better machines than mine are getting alot worse.

Somehow i do not think ANY game would allow for a min. requirement to be able to give you 1 fps because that is completely un-playable.

  8. Because you remove shadows. Even top of the line machine playing WoW will struggle with shadows.

HAHA wrong, my fps never goes below 50 with shadows on high in wow, even in orgrimmar where there are hundreds of people standing or flying mount in 1 area.

  9. Ok so why does my 4 year Old computer quad 2.6 ish? with one GTX9800 run the game maxxed, 1920x 1080, no shadows, avg fps 30-40, 60 other places? Not saying you do not have issues, but why can i run it just fine?

30-40 fps isnt good LOL especially for a system that is well above min requirements.

  10. Just tested, I can still cast an ability just fine after dodging.

My defense specced Powertech only has about 7.5% dodge, so took a bit for some dodges to pop up, but casting an ability after a dodge works just fine for me.

Play a jedi guardian at lvl 50 then come back and say ability delay/missfire doesnt exist, I DARE YOU!

  11. Note books and Lap tops where not designed for this program, unless your lap top or Note book is designed for high Intensive CPU & Graphic use's. Desk top an lap top are vary different.

    1. Desk top have open space for better air cooling, where lap top's and Note book are compack. Desk top computer graphic cards are equipped with a cooling fan, where lap tops do not have fans on there graphic cards.

    2. Yes lap tops & Note books have a cooling fan, unless you do research when you purchase a computer and check the spec's do not over push computer unless you know what you are doing.

Explain why people with high end PC's have been complaining about this? You must be a bioware employee.

  12. I typed up a long post, but i changed my mind. I don't care. I don't do pugs. I won't do pugs, i'd rather stop playing than do a pug. I'd have to play with *******, and i'm used to the perfectionism that is in my guild. It's not the kick you if you make a mistake type of perfectionism, it's the what could we do, to make x even better at the game type of perfectionists. If you don't have friends or a guild like that, then you don't really have friends or a guild.

If you get tossed in with people from 3 random servers because you play in a retarded timeframe, and you really enjoyed playing with them, good luck with making a group later, or adding them as friends.

What about a LFD too WITHIN your own server? I dont think anyone has mentioned a cross server LFD tool.

What stops you from adding friends if they are from your own server? Also if the tool is added YOU DONT HAVE TO USE IT, NOTHING IS FORCING YOU TO.

  13. I LOL'd so hard at this video...LOL Im still laughing.

Ok, but seriously, I do not think this is the 'combat delay' Bioware is referring to. They are referring to the fact that when you press an ability, it takes several seconds for that ability to register and execute. This is particularly relevant in warzones.

What you are experiencing, I have experienced too. I just move back or forward the ability goes off. I think it might be a problem that your character might be a bit too close to the target, sometimes the engine cant execute the ability, sometimes it does. A bug yes, game breaking no, and definately not what they are referring to.

It also happens with instant casts like defensive cooldowns that have no range.
