  1. I don't see where maths proves it is harder? It is just the scale being changed to suit twice as many people, did you not think this through? It is not like 8 people are doing the 16man content. And finding players is not hard, there are plenty of people playing this game. 16 people is not a big raid group comparing to other MMO's. Mixing 2 8man groups, why would this be a problem? More loot drops, roll need if you need it. Drama... you dont invite people known for drama now do you.
  2. BUT the way they scaled it up is not double since there is double the players. Like the lightning balls on SOA in 8man 2 spawn, and in 16man only 3 spawn.... if it were scaled properly you would think 4 would spawn. Making 16man easier. Or check the HP of bosses in both the modes. In 16man you can afford more deaths to down a boss than in 8man. Harder to find 16 people? Why are there so many 8man teams going around? why not just merge the 8mans with people who know what they are doing into 1 big fun group of 16. 16 people really is not that much compared to other MMO's raids.
  3. 16 man is NOT harder, it is just scaled up from 8 to 16 people! The only tricky part is getting 16 people who all know what they are doing.
  4. After clearing both OPS in both 8m and 16m nightmare, I say they are both as easy as eachother. In my server I have come across a few morons who like to whisper people when they are mad and call them noobs then ignore before you can reply. These people like to abuse you if you say 16m is NOT harder. I tried asking the guys who say it is harder "tell me why it is harder?", keep in mind 16man is only scaled up for 16 people and everything about the fights ARE THE SAME. And they could not give me an answer but only to call me a name like "you obviously are a noob". Now I would like to say it again, 16m nightmare is the same difficulty as 8m! I personally find 16m to be more fun, as in WoW I found 25m raids to be more fun. Ok if you dissagree, say why it is harder, without being oblivious to 8 to 16 man scale and saying "omgz they have more HP" or "raid takes more damage".
  5. I have 2 50's, and i could not be bothered going to gank lowbies. I would rather spend my time doing raids and warzones. If i felt like doing world PVP i would go to ilum for the daily/weekly quest. You shouldn't be worried, and if it does happen travel to the fleet, post in general chat and you might catch a PVP guild with 50's that would like to go kill them in some world PVP.

  7. They should add some kind of world events on nar shadar. Like maybe some games in the casino which are multiplayer, mini-game novelty quests which are challenging and reward mounts, pets, cool looking orange gear, and other novelty items. Also i think nar shadar should have an arena fighting game whether it be dualing other players or waves of NPC's purely for hutt's entertainment or actual players to spectate while waiting to compete.
  8. SWTOR needs to compete with WHAT IS OUT NOW. With WoW announcing a new expansion a gamer asks himself "what features of the game do I like better" before they decide which one to spend their money and time on (for players who dont want to pay for 2 subscriptions). No point in comparing SWTOR (2012) with WoW (2004) because if you go play WoW at this point in time, none of the points you made are true.
  9. I would love more mechanics to be added in harder modes rather than just the HP buff and short enrage timer. Would make the fights alot more interesting.
  10. I think if that happens, the point should be scored since the rules say to cross the opposing teams line and thats what you do if they pull you up there.
  11. Exertim, link your heroic halion kills. I can admit it is hard, it is for a well co-ordinated guild group. I wouldnt try it with a pug group.
  12. As it is, i do not think it is a "nightmare". Went from normal mode to nightmare mode in a week while only having some PVP gear, have alot of rakata (just lucky on drops). Pretty much the only difference is HP and shorter enrage timer. There should be added abilities and more raid awareness checks that can cause wipes to make sure people arent just half asleep while doing it. This is a hard boss from WoW. (i know its a lvl 80 raid, but people still wipe on it at 85 on heroic mode). Inb4 go back to WoW. I quit it and never going back.
