  1. You are free to play however you wish, I don't care personally. What I do care about is when people get so greedy that they sabotage every other way of playing the game so everyone has to play it the way YOU want to. Why should it take 8 toons fully leveled with all companions at max affection, all legacy crafting unlocked etc? That is something you chose to do, but others who choose another path are being disenfranchised by the SWTOR equivalent of the Mafia.
  2. I've been wondering this ever since this slot machine controversy started... How many of the people whom are career crafters took advantage of the slot machines to get Jawa Junk before they started complaining about the drop rates prior to the nerf? How many stacks did they grab? I suspect they probably have enough to last a good while. Personally I play this game to enjoy the Star Wars universe. I love the story telling and the way the conversations are done. I don't think I would play a game where I needed to be so consumed with making credits that all I do is have 12 toons running on mats missions all the time. That would get boring real quick. I don't believe that crew missions should be so sacrosanct that there is no room for alternate ways to obtain crafting mats. I think BW recognized this and tried to provide it for those that are not totally focused on crafting missions. It's too bad that everyone has to be unhappy because one select group. If your whole reason for being on this game is making credits (because what are you going to do with 600 million credits, really?) you should probably go play a game like Entropia Universe where it really means something.
  3. I agree, they nerfed the slots rather severely. I can understand making the Jawa Junk slightly harder to get, but they didn't have to go overboard and nerf the whole thing. I can't believe that the vocal minority got their way on this. Just because they thought they weren't going to be making the millions of credits on purple items. I call BS on that. Most of the people that buy the purples on the GTN would still do so because either they don't have the skill level required, or they are too lazy to craft the stuff. Either way, the crafting people still would have had a business. The rep drop was fine as it was, it didn't need to be increased. People can hit legend in 2 weeks now. I thought the cost of the chips was reasonable, there was no reason at this point to add another 250 credits to the cost. The Cartel Certificates are gone as far as I can tell. I went through a whole stack of chips and didn't see a single one. I noticed that the "target" area on the slots was made a bit smaller as well. So it's harder to hit something, harder to get something of worth, and costs more to do it. Way too heavy-handed. Also which walker is it that they added to this thing? Is it the same walkers that are on the rep vendor on Yavin, or are they unique to the slot machine? Since the drop rate for one is non-existent anyway, they might as well have given you a free stronghold slot if you hit the jackpot. We all know it will never happen.
  4. I am betting that ALL of the commendation conversions to Basic commendations will be 1:1. That's what they did going to 2.0 converting centurion and champion comms. I think this is what upsets the people the most, is that they worked hard for the elite and ultimate commendations and to have them be traded straight 1:1 for basic commendations is disheartening. Especially since it's relatively easy to get a basic comm. It's like having a gold coin and being told it's only worth a copper coin. At this point you would be better off amassing basic comms because they will increase in value when 3.0 hits, rather than grind for elites and ultimates (unless the trade ratio is better than 1:1) IMO.
  5. I saw this customization online, got all excited, ran to the Oricon vendor and nada... Sad sith. I hope they bring it back to the rep vendor. What's the point of getting Legend if there's not cool stuff like this to get?
  6. My guild has several people in it, but only 2 are active and 2 others log in once every couple weeks. Most of our guild left the game to play Guild Wars after the healers in SWTOR were nerfed so hard the first year. The other 4 who stayed were excited when we heard about the guild ships, even after the initial price was set. However after grinding for several weeks on these conquest tasks, we have come to the conclusion that it's not worth our time when there's no way we are ever going to be able to compete. Even worse, it's not just competing against the guilds on our server, but the entire game. Yes we have been getting the personal rewards, but this isn't about individual people, it's about the guild. I'm kinda disappointed because it certainly is designed for the guilds that were QQ about not having things to spend their gobs of credits on anything. There have been some good suggestions for changing this system. I hope they can come up with something that will make this meaningful for smaller guilds. Otherwise there will probably be more people jumping ship.
  7. Yes my guild is in this escape pod... We have several toons in the guild but only 2-4 active players. The rest got pissed off after the first healer nerf a few years ago and now they all are playing FFXIV instead. I just spent 8 hours last night doing dailies and such just to see how long it would take one person to raise 1 million credits. At that rate even for the 4 active people it will be a ridiculous time sink trying to obtain funds in the amounts that have been discussed here. I am extremely disappointed because it was something I was looking forward to.
  8. There is also a Companion Customization Vendor on Taris where the shuttle takes you from the orbital station. Has customizations for almost all of the companions. The Khem Val armor look is Khem 12, 13, and 14. Basically different skin color.

  10. Looks like the DDoS is only affecting the East Coast servers. The West Coast servers are showing heavy populations still. The East Coast are all Light.
  11. I couldn't agree more. Need to find some people to slice into their network and fry their machines, maybe take some of them out in the process. If you can force choke through a holocall, you should be able to do it through the Internet. LOL
  12. EA is currently #offline under an attack from @DerpTrolling
  13. Force Power increases the damage and healing by Sith Sorcerer Force abilities. Power increases damage and healing by all Sith Sorcerer abilities. Since most of your heal abilities are force-based, you would want more force power channeled into them, IMO
  14. False. They could make a Mac client that uses Wine to translate the game without having to re-write it from the ground up. Guild Wars 2 did this and it works wonderfully. Anyone saying it is a total re-write doesn't know what they are talking about.
  15. I don't buy that the whole game needs to be rewritten to run on OS X . GuildWars 2 has a Mac client that works perfectly while the game itself is still Windows-based and translated using Wine. BioWare could do the exact same thing with minimal dev time and include those people, who are being discriminated against based purely on their PC of choice. Saying it takes away from development on the Windows side is a cop-out.
