  1. Do that and Shadows' imbalance of PvP / PvE gets bigger. They literally can't do it because of the burst spec steallth of it in PvP. What you need is a WoW-Thief style dps, sustained, adding on and snowballing kinda dps so it's both balanced for pve and pvp. I have always been a proponent of COMPLETELY ERASING shared trees btw. It is a cop out to do less effort on Bio side. Remove Assault from vanguards, Focus from Guards, Balance from Shadows and Dirty Fighting from Gunslingers, and replace them with well thought out and lore appropriate specs. As it is, Sage Balance vs. Shadow Balance will always be an obvious non-contest.
  2. It's a good thing for us Guardians in PvP, people can't see it So no, I vote for stay the same.
  3. Heh, the way I see it, all shadows are lost anyway as it has been too long a time to spend in that darkness for you guys Really though, the problem with shadow DPS is vvery, very,, very, very simple. Wrong design. Stealth specs must have a very strong sustained tree so they can do balanced and okay in pvp, and strong dps in PvE. Frigging Infi spec is a RNG filled burst mania which doesn't work, and balance is clearly designed for sages and never really thought out on a shadow. Simply put, you are the worst designed AC in the whole game. And fixing it.... I dunno, good luck with the devs, it took us 18 months or so to make them hear our simple "remove RNG" cries, for you.... Good luck.
  4. Balance is keyword here, most of you non-Guards sounds like you simply don't like a previous-bottom of barrel spec to be actually shining. To us who suffered, it sounds a lot like jealousy. Maybe use a softer language, and cooperative outlook instead of direct calls for "nerf-to-the-ground" please? And Rydarus my friend, feel free to nab the sig. It was designed to be a conveyor of pure feelings from our hearts
  5. IIt's only duration, so it's a cool nerf. Heal is same ( Thank Gawd) For the OP, and for anyone else out there: NO. NOOOO. No. NO. Nononononno. NO. We had enough under the oppression of stupid "metas" long enough, taste our righteous AND balanced wrath for a while. And don't whine, because no one is kicking you out of NiM runs because you are a " X advanced class DPS spec" like we were used to be. We suffered, YOU did not. Seriously, you all are lucky that Guardian DPS community didn't go over to dark side from all the rage and anger we kept building through that hell.
  6. I told y'all that F.Def. was gonna get nerfed, and I for one am VERY happy it's only the duration, I'll still get my full 10 stack heals, it will require more skillful usage from most people though. Very nice. With all due respect to KBN tho, heal component MUST stay the same, we don't have stealth or on-demand CC ignore like the other two offtanker DPSers. Debiliation + Zen Strike is good. Exactly what we need to remove a bit of bloat. 44 pts, okay. But I'd prefer a slim 42 pts. tree more. Oh well, you win some, you lose some. I could care less about GRD leap, as I use it lower Hakkology's TK sage aggro in PvE. And maybe occasional escape from a danger zone. Very seldom though. For pvp, I always found it useful to protect an underpressure healer. Aside from that, meh. Increasing Focus sustained is a bad idea imho, I find it quite useful in certain fights as it is. ( Hello NiM draxus) It's asking for nerfbat to hit us Guardians, both Focus and Vigilance, in 3.0. Also, we completely wasted a question like mercs did with q2, but again... You win some, you lose some.
  7. Char creation version has a backplate, while consistent with Battlelord, has a different coloration on detail scheme that is consisten with Valiant Jedi. I for one, hate that backplate, and the hood down battlelord not being in game is not an issue for me. Objectively though, I don't think that "char creation" version of battlelord was never designed to be consistent with Unify to Chest color.
  8. On one hand, you are correct. On the other hand.... He did sell out, and he did butcher his own lore long before Disney came into picture. What's happening now is mostly George's fault. Disney is a symptom of wild capitalism, but George is its enabler. If Disney were to be cancer, I'd call George the faulty genetic marker susceptible to cellular corruption.
  9. That's partly my fault, I keep the price low at TRE by putting 10 stacks at cheapest price at all times.
  10. Don't be melodramatic. Accept MMO market as it is: A non-creative wasteland where dreams die and doe-eyed devs become codeline-spamming drones. It will never get better. NOT IN A THOUSAND YEARS IT WILL BE BETTER!!! DESPAIR MORTALS!
  11. Take valiant jedi and be happy with it, because THAT is what that armor is. Char creation = CGI trailer armor. The marketing detailed other armor with hood down is NOT something intended as seperate, it was always to be the Valiant Jedi, but artistic differences in CGI design made it different. Hence bbattllord is an outdated armor, Jedi Knight trailer was shot with way way worse and incomplete version of beta, almost alpha phase game. The lightsabers are still ridonkolously huge for example. JK trailer is outdated, and a joke version of alpha state game. Forget it.
  12. Give me a break. Gamers like you are the plague of the industry. ME3, despite the ending debacle, is probably the best action RPG bioware ever made. Period. Gameplay wise, it has no equal in that category. Dark Souls and Witcher 2 comes close in that gameplay regard, but ME3 is in a category of its own with its polished and well executed gameplay. Be happy for something for what it is. Not for what it was not. But NOoooooooooooooooooo. 21st century gamers MUST have everything they desire, no?
  13. I pre ordered and have been subbing for all that time. I'm not unhappy, since f2p earns 'em money to develop and expand the game. Yes, 80$ = 5$ Check steam holiday sales, it's the same thing. We were here the first, we pay the most.
  14. Calling "that" Clone wars game an MMO is a travesty. And EA has Funcom. Let that nice image stay in your brain for a while, FUncom-butchered SW MMO.
  15. The game is damn good MMO. Bİoware RPG. Do I give a f...k if it is not canon? No. Do I give a f...k if they shut down SWTOR? That would be a yes. Logic dictates that they will field a new Star Wars MMO after 7-8-9 is shown to masses, to accommodate new fans. Hence, SWTOR's life span probably got cut by a good 5-6 years. Because the only thing that can kill a SW MMO... ....is another SW MMO. ( reference code: SWG)
  16. 99.67 serves me best. Better than 100.75 and 99.28. One accuracy augment does wonders for optimization
  17. I've suffered enough from the HVY armor thing, shut up. I refuse to be nerfed to bottom again. So NO. NO NO NONONONONONONNONONONONONONONONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. No. NO. No.
  18. Happened last night, returned to normal when I took raidwide aoe from brontes. It's not a big thing, yet.
  19. Bioware AUstin have hired numerous engine programmers with proper experience in the last months. At least around 10 of them. I think they are doing some kind of overhaul on engine at 3.0 And this theory can be somewhat supported by the fact that the game is earning REALLY well, according to EA earning calls, and it's plausible to think those hires are done with new funds allocated.
  20. SWTOR earns a LOT. That much is known from earnings reports in EA shareholder reports. Subs tho, I thought they plateued and holding somewhere above 600k range. Not gonna increase till nextt big patch hits. That's the story with MMOs, numbers fluctuate a bit during big patches and updates, but baseline usually holds around a stable number.
  21. This. At a certain point, you will all realize. MMO market is a drab, dreary, cruel and unabatedly suicidal market that where dreams go to die. Creative devs turn into code typing machines, excitable community reps turn into drones of corporate. This is what the MMO market is. Nothing new ever happens. Nothing is permitted, and everything is a lie in this market. So there is NO "the" MMO out there. YOu just find one you like and play it. You hope to get some good friends in game, because that's what plays an MMO, the friends. Reality is this: Hype kills. Hype killed every single MMO since WoW. No MMO however, got destroyed completely. Evven the *******st of them survives, whether it be with 10k players or 100k. But they do survive. No MMO really dies before its lifetime. The only exception to that rule was probably Matrix Online. Even SWG made it thru until another SW mmo hit the market,, which in reality, was something I never saw happening. Wildstar will be hailed as a masterpiece by some, epicfail by some others, and an average MMO by the most of us. Because, (surprise surprise) the majority outlook on MMOs usually hold true. ESO, a very average game with decent PvP ( beta impressions). That's just it folks. Either grab your **** and get the hell outta MMO gaming, or accept the reality. This market is a hell. P.S.: Eric Musco is probably the only community manager I've seen that kept a semblance of sanity. After watching what happened at GW2 side...*shivers* I think Eric should thank the Gods Above for the fortitude he had.
  22. The gear buffs the skills. Blade barrier may not be buffed significantly, but thre is a nice stat gap between 180 and d186 enough to make a difference. Reality is this. Guardians get stronger, not weaker with more gear. Hell, it has been a trend since 69 gear. Vanguards performed best with that amount of stats. Then it turned a bit towards shadow with 75s, and with 78s and beyond the calculations started to lean in for guardians. I'm sure you guys have seen those calculations just recently, from someone's post to devs, can be found in a dev tracker related thread. And the fact is that the only weapon vanguard is left with is the ranged aspect. You just CANNOT nullify that as well. Think the big picture, an already-dangerously-easy-mode guardian tanking being pushed into nerf-category will not help anyone.
  23. Everything aside, posting a comment like this is akin to racism in my mind. Guildism. An advanced form of elitism. There, I coined the term.
  24. I found them quite fun to be honest. Having to kill despoilers first is good training btw, as in NiM, that fight is a beaatch. Grob was snoozefest as always in HM. Never saw enrage before, didn't see enrage yesterday. The adds didn't even make it two meters out of the fires as our RDPS aoe'd them as they walked on fire. ( Again, training for NiM) Tyrans was a nice surprise, with the bled-in mechanic and all, but damage on players is same, and with new FD, guardian ( tank or DPS) is like a cakewalk.
  25. No, I didn't, coz it was not a kill, but it doesn't even matter as I saw it myself on parsec threat counter. The moment I used it, two things happened: 1) Parsec threat list dropped me somewhere towards the below. 2) The mob that was hitting me(trash mobs that I pulled) turned towards someone else at the same time. That was plenty evidence for me, but next log I have, whether it's a kill or not, I'll check it and upload it. Note: I used to pull Bestia and Tyrans and Nefra all the time before this. I'm in total spam mode with AOE taunt now, and tanks never lose aggro nowadays, to me. SOMETHING must be working for that to happen. Maybe the reason why it didn't work on dummy is that there was no one else in that threat list, I dunno.
