  1. Jaesa Willsaam (LS, haven't seen/heard dark) has a hot voice. Which is convenient because I also really like the Warrior's voice.
  2. Not sure it was an intern guys, TOROZ (Popular Australian SWTOR News/Fan page and Podcast) has been doing this for a few months. http://toroz.com.au/tag/fleet-pass/ haha. I nominate all threads listed in these articles =)
  3. I absolutely agree with the fundamentals of what your are proposing, OP. Though I would like to run with it a little and perhaps propose a few changes. In MMO PvP (assuming everyone meets a certain basic competence); Heal classes are functionally Tanks (Who attract constant aggro and provide support to people filling objectives) Tank Classes are functionally Objective-seekers (Who attract aggro only while doing their job) DPS classes are functionally of utility purpose, or off-tanks (Who should peel and steal aggo, as well as kill things and fulfil objectives) This means that in context, your healers provide an extra kind of mitigation --> redirection of damage from your DPS and tanks. If your healers are not walking, talking, spell casting venus fly traps, you're doing it wrong. Or they are. Someone is. In a perfect situation, where your tank has an objective (say a flag, or in SWTOR, a ball) and a healer is mitigating, and DPS is killing those targeting the tank, all things align. Usually, though, if you face competent opponents, the tank will have to face some damage, and lots of cc, while the healer will be getting the same two fold until they're dead. The longer the healer lives, the better off the team is. Meaning keeping the healer alive, while it attracts enemy players, is by itself a sort of objective. Having a tank helps, but isn't necessary to fulfil that.
  4. Tyraxis. First name Tyrisan. Lord Tyrisan Tyraxis. I thought it flowed nicely and sounded like a kinda 'upper class' villain or anti-hero. Which is the angle I wanted for my LS Jugg.

  6. I don't think Qui-Gon would have more luck defying Sidious' manipulations. In fact, a healthy disrespect for Jedi dogma may have broken some of the barriers in Anakin's mind that Sidious instead had to do with Obi-Wan's tutelage. One of if not the most powerful Sith in the entire known lore of Star Wars, Sidious isn't going to *not* successfully turn a naturally emotional Anakin.
  7. My FB picture: http://a4.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/391068_2663453584825_1210534011_33171294_207680014_n.jpg With a cat from my friends house.
  8. My Revan was a dual wielding chap, Dark Side My Exile was a Silver Double Bladed Lightsaber, Light Side Guardian chap My SWTOR main is a Single Bladed Light Side Guardian. I think this would come down to who gets ganged up on first. I think, since the Guardian is level 42, he is a touch behind the two legends above in terms of skill. While true, Revan is still discovering himself, he also has some neat Dark side skills. But ultimatley I spent the most time on Exile. She was a total ******. She would pop force mastery and be choppin' stuff like no tomorrow.
  9. I study politics. I am an alt-a-holic, but my highest 'mains' are a 42 Light Guardian, 37 Light Operative, 22 Light Juggernaut. I like lazer swords. IA story was supposed to be awesome (it is), My fiance and I play together and she picked Inquis so I went Sith Warr.
  10. I skipped Vette, and am waiting for a rumoured LS Jaesa romance patch. I was all over Kira. Easily one of the hottest female companions. Skipped Vector. Not into the idea of my femIA to be in the pants of an ant man. I respect him though I find it unattractive. So I just sleep around when given the chance. Haven't really dabbled much in the other classes. Mako seems a little... young, but I'm not sure.
  11. I think the SW series needs a little more.... Mad Max in its blood. Therefore, I propose a 7th movie about Darth Nihl specifically. Detailing the fall of the One Sith. Furthermore, he'd be retconned where necessary, and be a sort of anti-hero. Mad Max meets Lelouch Lamperouge. It would be... so cool. Director I'm not too fussed over. The guy who did Starship Troopers would be a decent choice. And there would be... so much rage.
  12. Well at first you are a well known acolyte (given you are a coddled, all-star advanced student). Later, you are an apprentice to Baras, a very powerful and influential Sith (and most of the people you are dealing with are at his bidding and forewarning. Outside the story arc, I mean, lightsaber is a giveaway --notice they rarely identify between Inquis and Warrior Sith. You are Sith). Later on you are a hero in your own right. Having scored major victories on multiple planets, and accomplished various tasks for your master. Most Imperial officers would be briefed on your presence if you arrive. Hell, you suffer that as early as Balmorra.
  13. My theory is they come from some planet or some moon somewhere in the never never, and are very few in number but naturally embody the light side of the force, similar to a sort of anti-Sith. Proof? Absolutely none. Just speculation.
  14. Close enough. Server imbalance towards the 'bad' guys is pretty common in MMO's. Everyone wants to be 'cool'. While good guys can be cool, they are also everywhere, in all media, in all culture. They are also not the underdog by default, because; 'The good guys always win' and everyone loves an underdog.
  15. The problem is that a player character that is essentially your window in the world cannot come up with concepts. If they do, that takes immersion/freedom away from you because it wasn't your idea, and if they don't, well, you don't play a role of instigator. Essentially, your character is a reactor in the story. They respond to and complete plots, but do not make them. In single player games, even sandboxes, this can be over come to some extent with journals, or a 'consciousness' of thought bubbles, etc. If you COULD instigate plots, that would be cool, but limited to what the dev's leave for you, rather than what is actually possible. Also, you'd still need to be prompted with the trigger to make the plot.
  16. I like his character, and while the voice acting is good, the effects remind me of Volus species from Mass Effect 2. Specifically, the drug addled one you meet on Illium.
  17. There is one character in Sith Warrior whom you can influence down one path or the other, but only once, to my knowledge everyone else is their own person completely.
  18. Keep in mind the 'Republic' fleet is identical in design to the Imperial one. The Emperor probably lured the greatest of the Republic's heroes into a fleet ship he controls. It would serve no purpose to simply kill the Republic yet, when you can gather so much information, cause so many lag spikes for luls and at the right time, completely confuse the Republic fleet just before a major assault. The fleet is 'docked' near enough to coruscant that the whole thing could have been built during its' sacking by the Empire. The Sith are masters of deception. The reflection of light however, has betrayed the ruse to cunning Republic heroes, but is it too late?
  19. Sith Warrior [Flirt] 'interactions' with a certain mother on Kaas.
  20. Because Panteer is hedging their bets because they are cunning politicians. [Possible Alderaan Spoilers] I say, well played House Panteer. Well played.
  21. Also would like to note that though the kids might not merit actual Sabers yet, the younglings of that era have been trained from birth. The Old Republic era is a lot less anal about recruitment. Force sensitivity, whenever discovered, has you marching to Korriban if you're in Empire territory. It is likely that you've not been training as long in the sword arts. May not want to have your lightsaber until you've passed the 'trials' proving your skill.
  22. [Darth Bane Spoilers] So there is precisely 2641 years unaccounted for that the Empire, in its current form, can exist before falling. While the republic may survive in that time too, I would guess that they could easily suffer massive, devastating and crippling losses in that time. They could spend periods in exile on the outermost rims on yet to be discovered planets and all sorts of canonical possibilities. Mace Windu also said 'The Sith can never be allowed to rise again' which implies they probably had a period of dominance (though sacking Coruscant is probably a fairly dominant thing).
  23. For note: I read and am responding to the whole OP but not much of the following discussion. [sith Warrior Spoilers] With the racism thing, I have noticed that whenever presented with the opportunity 'Aliens' invariably prove every bit as capable as Human and Sith imperials. It is the nature of the Empire that it resents 'impurity' of its ranks, but is consistently rewarded when, incidentally or purposefully allowing aliens opportunities. It is in Darth Revan's teaching, that anything useful should be used, not hated because of its supposed lesser species. However, it is not Darth Revan who rules here, it's the Emperor. Quite frankly, the Emperor is a madman. A pure, hateful, evil, sadistic and sickening monster with only pure power ambition and absolute apathy to the fate of others. The Empire; his empire, is designed to represent him. It is his dominance that shapes the attitudes of everything below him. A constant trickle down effect of his version of the Sith teachings. It is this reason why the Empire is over the top. Almost a caricature of Nazi Germany with a more extensive caste system (inb4 Godwin). Other powerful, influential Sith would have radically different attitudes in the Sith. If they were the power of the time, then they would be the one most respected as destructive force, and emulated by Sith and subsequently the Empire. Jadus, for example, would rule an almost Romanian Fascist Empire, that is, religious in nature, where god is fear itself. This means, in theory, future story advances in SWTOR will inevitably change the Empires flavour. In sum, I may well be wrong, but think the writers have brought out the Empire for what it is. I think players are supposed to identify how wrong things are in it, to be outraged. It is the players discretion, even as a dark side player, to choose their own behaviour. While sometimes you simply must do the absolute evil thing, or the absolute good, there are endless opportunities to push for changes here and there, to counter the Emperor's influence, to bring a sense of honour, respect or dignity to the weaker members of the Empire. Or, ultimately, if you want to truly feel like you are breaking the empire and its evils apart, don't join them, play Republic.
