Reason to completely discredit everything this poster is saying. His favourite Star Wars film is Revenge of the Sith.

Slight lag: A minor hindrance to play. Servers down: A complete hindrance to play. Could they not have waited until night?

Romance with a Jedi shouldn't be an option at all
Valgranth replied to Mangese's topic in Story and Lore
All of the dark side options are against the code. That's kind of the point. -
Communication requires a reciprocal understanding. I take your point to mean that the mitochondria might respond, in some way, to neurological or biochemical processes in the human organism, which sounds plausible and removes much of the mysticism. And probably already functions like that. Why would mitochondria have the ability to "unlock" these latent powers? Why would they remain untapped if their attainment could have suited human biology previously? By what scientific mechanisms could this possibly work?

*SPOILERS*Why was Revan and so much in kotor retconned
Valgranth replied to Ignotis's topic in STAR WARS Discussion
Quotes or not it seems pretty evident based on Revan's own statements, mastering both sides of the Force, being once Sith and Jedi, etc. -
Evil people do evil things. The sexual violence isn't, in any way, presented as something that the traditionally "good" characters endorse or support. The Sith are the "bad guys", and being a "bad guy" means doing "bad things". Slavery and abuse are one of the worst things in the world, and lead to probably the most destructive emotions, the deepest hatred.

Balance to the force was not balance
Valgranth replied to alienstalker's topic in STAR WARS Discussion
The explanation typically proffered is that the dark side is like a cancer, ergo removing said cancer would be a restoration of the true equilibrium. Though you and I both probably feel that passion and control can be effectively balanced. -
Let's compare to World of Warcraft: http://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/world-of-warcraft-cataclysm/user-reviews Cataclysm's real score: 5.2.

I can't take the pointless travelling between planets...
Valgranth replied to ShonaChaos's topic in General Discussion
It's repetitive and bland. I rarely skip anything, but I always skip the take off/landing videos. -
I think you have established yourself as the epitome of hyperbolic narcissism that typifies the modern MMO player.

The Jedi Knight, and Sith Warrior classes need a huge buff.

Rerolled my Juggernaut at 32 to Powertech. Level 47 and not looking back. -
Why is everyone so impatient and unfriendly?

Instead of AC respec, take control BEFORE you roll!
Valgranth replied to TheRealDestian's topic in Suggestion Box
Doesn't sound like it would hurt at all, but the developers are playing catch up with bugs as they arise, balancing PVP, releasing new content for 50's, and implementing critical features that were left out. So although a good idea, don't expect to ever see it implemented due to constraints. -
Personally, I found Wrath's pace much more accommodating to my playstyle (lol scrub) because I take school and my friends seriously. Cataclysm had much more of a grind early on, and required more coordination and time-invested to make the same strides. And tanking for people who had been used to AoE zerg-fests (myself included) was just a chore. TOR's difficulty, right now, seems about where I'd like it to be. Besides the fact that I love Star Wars, the storylines and moral decisions.

Statistically that's pretty wrong. There are more Sith Inquisitors, Sith Warriors, and Jedi Knights. Fourth most popular class out of 8 is by no means 70%.

Hey all, I was just wondering what are some cool models of blaster pistols? I'm sure we all have our favourites. Especially I was wondering if there are any cool revolver-type variants available, to fit with our quasi-Old West aesthetic.

I've noticed this, but I thought it was simply because the mobs 40+ were harder to kill and thus I had been inadvertently unloading more firepower. Interesting.

Really informative and helpful, excellent work!

Let's punish the players for YOUR design flaws
Valgranth replied to infestedchris's topic in General Discussion
I kinda missed out on all this. Was this camping against the rules? Or was it just "bad sportsmanship". If it was the latter, I'd agree with the original poster. BioWare designed a system that people then used to gain valor. -
Don't read the complaint threads, especially if you're enjoying the class. Just ignore them. Then if you feel like you're underpowered, join the complaint threads.

The Jedi Knight, and Sith Warrior classes need a huge buff.
Valgranth replied to brandonspikes's topic in Combat Styles
I had gone into this game assuming I'd want to play a Sith Warrior, Juggernaut specifically to tank; I got him to level 32 and had been noticing what a lot of people have commented on. Despite powerful attack animations, I'd spend far longer than seemingly necessary on a fight, exhausting my all of my abilities. I'm leveling a Powertech tank right now who is almost at the same level and it's worlds apart. I'm sure BioWare will buff Juggernaut damage output, and when they do I'll be sure to pick it back up. But I don't really want to pay $15 a month for a tank class that feels like a wet tissue whose only strength is its inability to be pulled apart easily. -
There is a mechanical reason: it is just as much effort to stay between good and evil as it is to go completely good or evil. There's a story reason: neutral factions exist and would want to reward players for that neutrality. If you're Sith, look at the Revanite faction. If you're a Smuggler or Bounty Hunter, easy enough to see why.
