  1. There is no one single class that the Republic side can field in a warzone that is more dangerous. The damage, crowd control and healing you bring is a huge threat so you bet you will be singled out and focused down.

  4. I have no idea why people don't come to terms with the fact that certain classes are just to imbalanced. If the truth was told more often perhaps the forums would have swayed BW more and the warzones wouldn't be ghost towns or constant games of faction vs faction huttball. Let's face it, the que times are down and the classes inside warzones aren't the mix we had at launch. What do you think is the basis for that?
  5. Your right, this is the best path for Vangaurds, but, here is the problem. Vangaurds and Commandos under the current system have the SAME damage mitigation in PVP except for Ion Cell. There should be more of a divide in mitigation for a tank than that.
  6. Yes this really makes no sense to me as to why the Republic wouldn't all wear rubber shoes.
  7. These abilities don't mitigate game, guard splits damage totally ignoring all defensive stats which actually means more damage, and taunts only lower damage done by the tauntee.
  8. I don't think this person realizes what they are saying is, Sage is immensely easy to be successful with in comparison to other classes. It is amazing how huge the class divide is in this game compared to any other. This is the reason PVP has not diverse class wise, anyone who disagrees is completely ignoring the fact that warzones are generally comprised of either more than 50% sages on one side or more than 50% sorcs on one side or both.
  9. Defense, Shield (for some), and absorb are stats currently available on all armor types (light, med, heavy). These stats serve a purpose for all classes in PVE, granted some more than others. But what is the logic of having these stats be completely worthless in PVP? Why is it that lightning can't be dodged, or absorbed? Why are force abilities not able to be mitigated by the same means as other types of damage? When you think about it, the force shield is basically a casted version of this but it protects against all types of damage. If the defensive shield doesn't protect against force damage, shouldn't the force shield not protect against non-force damage?
  10. This. Anyone who has leveled both classes will tell you, they are nowhere near mirrors.
  11. Agreed. Our dps is nothing special really for the lack of other things. We do have some niche abilities that make some things easier in OPs/HMs, but in reality other classes like Commandos can do just as well. This class should be OH WOW damage, but its just similar to other dps in the game.

  13. Long and short of it, you are a dps melee class or a healer. Every MMO always has an over abundance of melee because of game designs which make melee much more powerful than ranged, this game is no exception to that. As a melee class you have to shine above the rest or get lucky. On any given server you won't find a shortage Imperial side EVER of Sorcs or OPs.
  14. Ranged tank classes. Crafting not requiring down time. Crafting materials not taking up bag space. Not to mention quest stories for classes like nothing else before.
  15. But if they fixed this, then it would be one less class imbalance, and that can't happen.
  16. Should have titled it 'Let RANGED tanks be tanks in pvp'. The problems they have are not specific to melee tanks.
  17. Any Vangaurd in the game would love to have 6k of damage immunity every 20 secs rather than 25% less damage for a few seconds every 2 mins, trust me.
  18. Let me get this straight, you are trying to tell us people are going to quit playing unless they get games of 8 sage vs 8 sorc Huttball, really?
  19. No it's not since these are the only two classes which can do everything in the game. Let's face it, BW made a huge mistake with class design.
  20. It's funny how many people will doubt you, but after seeing these numbers on the board, I know it's just a matter of time and gearing before it's more common, and even then people will dispute that it happens. /Agree
  21. I've noticed this too and it's sort of staggering to think they spent time making two versions of everything and the republic versions all look so unappealing. It was time development time wasted for sure.
