  1. It is working as intended, except the cc on adds, but we did not cc droids anyway. CO is not an easy fight, requires teamwork at least. We still swap on 3-4 stacks, no matter that we heavily overgeared for the HM. Key stuff for our team before we got it was *deal with mines *kill adds fast - repair droids first *stay out on antigravity (your point 6 looks like people are caught there) *position before laser as well tanks should be cleansed from dots - the most dmg on tank will come from dots if not cleansed.
  2. For me 8man SMs make sense only as guild runs so I dont see why they should be in groupfinder.
  3. IAT is recruiting for 16m op team <Empire> It’s A Trap is international gaming community, that has both Republic and Empire guild on swtor. Historically we did regular Ops both Empire and Republic side, same people, but different roles. 6 months ago we decided to focus on Republic side. Current progress: 2/5 DF NiM. But we all still love our imp chars and don’t want to spread out, so we decided to create a 16 man Empire team. We can fit in any class/any role. We can fit in a team/group of friends as well. Requirements: You like your character & role and know how to play it; You are able to join TeamSpeak in English; We can promise: To organize HM/ NiM Ops 1 day/week, if not 16 man then at least 8 man as start. It is currently scheduled Wednesdays, but can be rescheduled. We aim to try both bonus bosses as well; Complete freedom to organize more events; Friendly environment; You can join us on your main and or on an alt or on all. It is completely your call; You can contact us here or via guild website http://itsatrap1.enjin.com/
  4. For me this is a single DPS, willing to organize a pug OP. This means willing to take responsibility. Explain takts, explain loot rules. If it is LFG it will be the opposite - i want to join group that anybody else takes care of. "full run" ofc reasonable as well, he says in advance he needs people willing to do full run. When i join pug groups i always want to know if it is weekly or full or 1 boss or 3+ bosses As for the other stuff i agree with you.
  5. Welcome to the world of pug OPS The only mistake you made is to try to reason with them There was one saying “Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.” And .. . yeah, healing is only numbers as you already know :P I think people are so much overgeared for SM ops that they dont remember the gear requirements. And most of the time they dont really check gear, they check hp. Have seen people that augment they healz on endurance for this reason Was in pug SM TfB with my new tank (well i have 162/168 gear on companions, so my new 55s getting some stuff e.g. my new tank means 162 on gear at least, augmented, properly balanced on defense/shield/absorb, but poor mainhand, relics, implants and such) 34K HP stimed. So guess what, one guy commented that 34K HP low for a tank and he dont want to go on this run with me tanking. ( I dont remember how much HP i had on tank when i first did TfB HM in the past, but i guess it was not much more then 34k ) If this was the group lead i will quit myself, couse you know not good indication for a successful op. Fortunately the op lead was normal
  6. :D:D I use end crystals on tank, you get enough power from all this secondary stats augments. Secondary stat augments is to be used, couse ego augments are not available atm
  7. I did not found any info FrozenGoalie that is why i am asking. There are about 100000 threads about the new DP, DF mechanics & comments on "Game know issues" thread unanswered. And thanks to the guy that linked it.
  8. this so true I actually have two tanks and one of them is quite new and i really want to train it, so i prefer to do proper tanking, but i guess just not on tactical FPs
  9. 2200 is OK. I remember a parse of my team in the past that was 2300, 2200, 2000 & 1800 on this boss. How fast the adds die depends on how fast you kill the repair droids.
  10. nice And also if DPS is doing 2.5k as i see here http://www.torparse.com/a/626573/15/0/Damage+Dealt, it does not mean this stable 2.5 all the time and not going on 4k in a period.
  11. It is really strange!! We did him yesterday & i used phase walk right in the beginning in phase 1 and nothing different. It was my first time with shadow shelter in phase 1, cause i keep for phase 2, but we were with a healz new to this boss and i decided that i will have enough time to reset it. Don't have logs from yesterday tho. Just in case - you sure you are not getting the debuff for Inevitability as well (the cast is cone or even semi-circle i think)
  12. about switching target check this http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=712283
  13. First gz. We killed it last night for the first time (guess we are average ) but i am posting here, cause I want you to know that your vid actually helped us. We were thinking we low on dps, for the second phase, but we changed specs a bit with more area based and sent was always on Brontes and it worked. So second thanks for sharing it.
  14. I have only shadow tank, the things you are arguing it is not my opinion (i cannot have such) i it is a quote if it not clear. And the person says every tank is bad for this boss, if this not clear too.
  15. When we were first time on this boss i was about to quit, when i have seen how i go from full health to 10% in 2 sec (i play shadow), but we managed to do it. You can check this http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=6854603 ("But basically it's an anti tank fight. Juggernauts are bad on this boss, because Raptus has a lot of f/t damages juggs have very big problems to migate Juggs will get a lot of overall damage when tanking this boss and that puts them in very big trouble after they lost all their cooldowns. The worse your dps on Raptus is, the more problems you will get with all the force/tech damage on juggernauts in the last phase. Powertechs are bad cause they don't have any real cooldowns for things like Force Execution. Good luck in eating every Force Execution hit. Sins are bad cause when they get unlucky and don't have cooldowns (although Resilience is very good on this boss), well they are almost dead/dead.") In my experience Rising Slash can be many times fully mitigated you can see here 3 times x 0 http://www.torparse.com/a/526101/3/0/Damage+Taken Buts sometime not that lucky Even if you get hit with crit (btw 25-30k) it is still ok, just it is not predictable and instant so healz & tanks has to react differently than on other bosses , swap on low health of the other tank, top main tank all the time, use cooldowns just in case, etc.
  16. Hey, Nimusol, it looks like our guild may be good for you. We consider us mostly social guild and we defo can use one more healz on the DS for ops, you can check the website http://itsatrap1.enjin.com/home We have scheduled ops 5 days a week / 3 progression /2 comms runs with this peculiarity that we play both LS and DS. The name of our DS guild is Highway to Hoth, you can ask for invite, whoever is online and i can also look for you this eve, if your char name is the same.
  17. my logs confirm this: 7k, 8k, 0 and there is one time that it is "Dread Master Raptus's Rising Slash hits Jadeto for 27149 energy damage (1056 absorbed)" - really nasty
  18. 1. Operator IX (TfB) is my favorite boss. It requires a teamwork and on the second phase i have this feeling of a dance, not of a fight. 2. Dread Master Tyrans (DP) really fun fight even in HM 3. The Terror from Beyond (TfB) - complicated map, not easy to tank, even more complicated for DPS. 4. Dread Master Calphayus - really creative fight 5. Bonethrasher - fun again I like DP and TfB quite more then all other ops
  19. we are http://itsatrap1.enjin.com/forum/m/5306134/viewthread/9730103-hm-ops-team-need-new-players/post/last#last
