  1. Reading through the thread it looks like the majority of the complainers are people thinking this is a WoW AH. It isn't. Stop expecting it to be. This is SWTOR and its GTN kiosk work fine. Short of a few characterization tweaks (such as Armor ... heavy ... Chest/Leggings/etc instead of Armor ... Heavy ... Rarity) there's no need for all these huge changes you people are talking about needing to 'FIX YOUR GAMEBREAKING AH BUGS'. This isn't an auction house and it isn't WoW. If you can't handle that uninstall SWTOR and go back to WoW. The epic whining of all the WoW-bies is quickly giving SWTOR a bad name and it isn't justified.
  2. Refreshing to know the quality of threads in General Discussion has not changed.
  3. I've kinda got to agree. Armormech is definitely useful. I'm only level 24 and armormech 260 and I made 18k last night just from what I sold on the trade kiosk. Find a market and stick with it with competitive pricing. If you are focusing on UBERTASTIC END-GAME gear then you are flat out going to be disappointed 99% of the time while you are armormech.
  4. While I agree with most of your points you must have been one that quit early on ... because for around the last five years on SWG you could have 2 (and if you finished the Village before NGE even 3) characters per account per server. Also, you did level your crafters post-NGE (Although I have to admit that skills boxes were my preferred iteration.) But on point ... I agree ... SWG has set a very high bar when it comes to the crafting community in MMOs and even given the fact that I am enjoying SWTOR more than I thought I would, it's crafting aspect definitely leaves something to be desired.

  6. At what point do you get a schematic when you RE something? To-date, every RE attempt I've made has only netted me a couple of crafting materials. ??
  7. Odds are that someone came by just before you and scavenged those nodes. They reset after a few minutes. To be honest I got a metric poodoo ton of aluminium when I went through there.
  8. You can repeatedly hit CRAFT up to 5 times to get your companion to craft 5 items (my 12yo told me about that one .. LOL) I am all about having crafting materials auto stack.
  9. If you are serious .. they mean materials for crafting. If you are being sarcastic ...
  10. Every opinion is valid .. I want yours. Do you think crafted (armor/weapons etc) items are better or should people forgo crafted items altogether and stick with modding and remodding and updating the modding in their looted items? The main reason I ask is because I had a friend tell me I was insane for selling an assault rifle I got (orange) and seemed nice until I found a better rifle at a higher level (blue). And feel free to educate me ... like I said ... no opinion will be considered invalid.
  11. Please stop trying to justify the exploit that was slicing. You had a credit printing press .. got caught with it and now it's been taken away. Get over it.
  12. PotBS's system was not nearly as good as SWG's. Not only that .. but what you describe sounds a LOT like how components crafting functioned in SWG. Go figure someone saw the system SWG used and copied it. But that is a whole other topic for another thread and totally off-topic here.
  13. LOL No more sitting in the cantina at level 12 with your credit printing machine. ROFLMAO
  14. That's a pretty jaded point of view. Crafting has been a large part of the gaming world in MMOs. The standard was set by SWG and I'm yet to find another game that gave as much attention to that aspect of gaming. Now it is threatened by the GIMMEGIMMENOWNOWNOW crowd that thinks they should either be able to loot it in 15 minutes of their OH SO VALUABLE gametime or buy it from a vendor. Players are too quick to dismiss the crafting side of these games because they don't do it or because they don't have the patience/attention span to do it. 'Crafting' in SWTOR is more like factories in SWG. It isn't really crafting and the OP has a valid point. Do I partake in the SWTOR's version? Sure ... I'm a crafter and I'll take what I can get. Is it REALLY crafting? Not really. And any other crafter worth their weight in wares out there would agree.
  15. Any player can REASONABLY go to ilum and TRY to loot the same chests. The key is REASONABLY. As depicted in the various threads, no one in an MMO is likely to spend more than an hour or so on a reasonably generic task. When a person bots multiple accounts for DAYS with the intent and purpose of farming some such item ... THEN there is an issue. Please .. don't try to justify credit farming by bending words and circumstances.
  16. I'm late to the thread ... but having just read through a few pages some of you are either exploiters or ignorant. EVERYONE in the MMO world knows the difference between a player farming for SOME <-insertObject-> and a player obviously, methodically and systematically setting up his toon(s) to exploit some mechanic to reap a gargantuan sum of <-insertObject-> in an effort to profit from it. In most cases the selling of credits/gold/<-insertCurrency->. I've been round and round about this before in other games' forums. If it looks like a credit farmer, acts like a credit farmer, loots like a credit farmer and talks (or doesn't talk) like a credit farmer .... IT'S A FRIGGIN CREDIT FARMER. Please do not try to bend things in some abstract way to attempt to exaggerate some other situation saying that the ban wasn't justified.
  17. You're like that guy that doesn't realize his BO is making everyone sick while he walks around asking everyone why they are looking at him funny. Your trolling and doom saying is epic .. you got them to let you have your thread .. if there was a reward for it you'd be a winner. Grats
  18. This game has everything I expected. If you lost your chance to enjoy it fine. When you make a better game come back and let us know. .
  19. I really REALLY wanted to HATE this game. And no .. I'm not being sarcastic. I was adamant in wanting this game to be a failure ... ... but I have to admit that I am really enjoying it. .
  20. If the boss doesn't die then you didn't do enough damage before he killed you. Simple. If you are doing the same thing over and over again then that is on you. Looking at a window that says you did 32134 points of damage in the 2 minutes you were fighting isn't going to help you. A damage/DPS meter only serves one purpose .. see my previous post in this thread .. I don't feel like copy/pasting it here. .
  21. Please quit .. your epic dissatisfaction and post reflecting such would indicate that this game is not for you.
