  1. Love this idea, lots of potential. But they better not nerf companions when they roll it out and then make you spec into the trees to get back what you used to have. Or pay a million credits to unlock it.
  2. Another problem - the leveling curve in this is game is so fast that there's not much point in stopping to gear up except in increments of 5, 10 or even 20 levels. And some players don't even do that. Plus, the 2nd or 3rd playthrough of planet X feels like torture to some people so they rush through it as fast as possible. This certainly contributes to the market for lower-level everything - a huge potential segment of the economy - being significantly weakened. And let's not forget: inconvenient GTN is inconvenient. You want to increase sales and demand? Put GTNs where players actually play, and maybe (shocking) in a central location instead of 6 taxis away from wherever you happen to be. Garauntee sales for those incremental levels would go up if players on places like Alderaan or Tatooine could easily pop in to see what's for sale.
  3. This is a great idea. It would be cool if there were a screen I could go to that collated all my cutscenes and let me replay them, like the movie theatre feature from FF10 or similar games. Although with Bioware they'd spend all this time putting in replays and then charge us 500k credits to view anything, thus killing the joy immediately.
  4. I don't think it explicitly breaks it out for you on your sheet, but it's in there. Right after I maxed Tanno Vik on my trooper (Tanno is a melee tank) I saw my baby smuggler's accuracy rating go from 90% to 91%. So based on the only stat jump I can confirm I will infer it's +1% for the others (like crit chance). Finally, I will say I think it's lame that we get nothing for unlocking other companions. I think we should get something for this achievement. Why can't it be a small bonus (.25% or something) for each one of the same type after the first? I have a suggestion about this here and would welcome your ideas.
  5. Interesting idea. EQ2 has a guild "harvest depot" where you could dump up to 1,000 of every mat from every tier and anybody with appropriate rights would automatically source it from the harvest depot first when crafting. You could manually set it to use your own mats if you wanted, too. That works great and mostly what happens is people fill it to the brim with common mats and keep their rares unless they really get a huge stack going or can't seem to sell them. It was really nice and encouraged a lot more guildie crafting, plus we pulled together to fill up mats we were low on.
  6. When I am looking for my cybertech I go through pages of speederbike schematics, hunting for the super secret implant schematic that somebody may have put up. Now I get to relive that experience on my Artificer, except it's going through pages and pages of lightsaber schematics looking for anything else. Methinks the drop rate is a bit high. My treasure hunter has been vendoring them, and I feel like I get one with every crit. How about some more RNG love for the shield and crystal schematics?
  7. Sure, but only if you could disable the option or at least designate a single room at the pet room. I add the pets to my character to get them out of my bag, but I really don't use them and wouldn't want them cavorting on my ship without my consent, either. Banishing them to the great kennel in the sky is fine with me.
  8. Seriously. I would think... why do we have have a big white tooth on our flag? The banners everywhere are blue and white, and the white stands out more than the blue. I can't find an exact screenshot of the flag right now but this should work. Finally, at some point on Nar Shadda, I realized Oh, It's wings. You're not supposed to look at the white part. = this message brought to you by the bored at work committee=
  9. I've gotten at least three construction kits from treasure hunting crits. Got a glove yesterday, forget what the others were. Wasn't even max level TH, grade 4 I think.
  10. I totally did forget that. Proud member of group 5 here.
  11. My companion sounds like she's inside a box when she wears a headband, but she walks on metal grates like a ninja in moccasins. Yay!
  12. Basically we have four kinds of people: 1. People who like to spread the plague 2. People who don't like the plague 3. People who like to tell other people how they should feel about the plague (but say they don't care) 4. People who actually don't care (and they aren't posting. why not? because they don't care) Group 1 is having all the fun, aren't they?
  13. Without the ability to preview weapons essentially every weapon you find after your first modification is useless - unless you can somehow see it for free on another player or you get it easily via drop or quest. I feel the same way about all the commendation weapons. Glad they exist, but I'm not going to buy them all just to see what they look like. I want to preview them. I think being able to preview weapons will help weapon sales everywhere tremendously. RE the level 50 item specifically, it has a pretty rare market imo. Those who want the slightly different appearance/sound (if that applies), and those who decide to make a companion "real" (or...shudder... themselves) and waited to 50 to do it. They might buy a fully loaded weapon.
  14. I also think the system should automatically reocrd some of the information they want you to put in their bug reporting form. Why do I have to tell them my name and level for example? Can't it record that? In EQ2 when you typed /bug you got a form in the game and it had drop downs and clear indications of what you had to provide where. I think they should do this here.
  15. I like this idea. A companion daily, or at least some sort of "ending" conversation you can go through, even if it's the same, so they at least react to you. Me and 4-x could laugh at Imperial's burning husks, that sort of thing. In fact, he should tell me how many I've killed and keep a running tally for me.
  16. I would really, really like this. Flashpoints in particular are so vanilla without the stirring music. I hate when it goes away and won't come back until the next boss fight. Sometimes that's a loooong time.
  17. I see your point, but don't forget that that a lot of small guilds form because people want to play with friends they know in RL or from other games. This is ALWAYS going to happen and I don't think your "punish!!!" approach is very constructive. Guild banks are a basic service. Maybe bigshots like you guys deserve more, but c'mon, give everyone a shot at the basics.
  18. I support this idea. Also, I want him to unlock a gun.
  19. Rule number one if you're crowd controlling: Manual control. Put your companion on passive and then manually key them to attack the target you want... or manually tell them to attack another target while you are winding up your crowd control. I learned that the hard way and ti's a very safe approach.
  20. Say it ain't so! For a while there if you wiped the first time it would work the second time. Are we back to that, or are we waaay back to the total FUBAR? Haven't been in a while.
  21. Hah same here on all accounts. Wondering when we'll run out of steam but so far, so good.
  22. I don't understand why the vendor doesn't link for a week to allow players to spend leftover DNA? Some people planned to play up until the last minute, then life happened and they couldn't login and are now left with dozens or more DNA to spend. Easy to understand how that happens, and less easy to understand why "too bad" is all they get?
  23. Hmm. Maybe we can Jedi leap through screened areas to those mobs that periodically spawn... I haven't run it in a while so I'm not sure. We'd likely have a scoundrel, vanguard, and sentinel in the group.
