For character names at least its not such a task as you can create the character to test, but how about legacy names? It would be supremely painful to find out your legacy name was already taken...

but in game cut scenes use whatever you are wearing anyway so that shouldn't be a problem, heck there are still issues with my character pretending to wave a gun or miming holding a lightsaber anyway. but yes, this SHOULD eventually get fixed so i'm still hoping i can put up my hood over my Kallig mask. I'm actually been piecing together thoughts for a companion app. If its awesome enough i can put up a SOW (Statement of Work) here and if it makes enough sense i can try to get it built. Been checking out the companion apps for Skyrim, ME, WOW, Battle.net etc There is definitely a place for a companion app.

So if you don't pick up the customizations now there is no way you ever will right? Are they bound? so can you collect now for a future character?

I'll back this too. I've also seen all the other threads that have died on this same issue so its definitely one that will stick around. Sure its cosmetic, but it is important enough. I agree with everyone here that it does seem like a simple toggle option like the hide headslot. Leave it to the individual to deicide if the clipping is awful or not. In fact, some clipping might make for some interesting combos. "Working as intended"? Fail. Whichever dev 'intended' that should be replaced. Or the PR rookie that wrote it.

Best bet is GTN. Supreme Inquisitor is one of them. I think Saber Marshal too. Unfortunately for you they are usually very ex when they do show up. Are also very rare drops. Check out the other threads.

I am very sure that the new races will all be humanoid where features are restricted to the head. Twilek is as non human as they will go because of all the gear customizing that happens. Thats why i doubt there will ever be Yoda, Wookies, Jawa or droids. Don't get me wrong, i'd love to have all of the above but i just don't see it happening. (Plus does anyone actually know what a Jawa looks like under the robe!?)

I did a Heroic yesterday with a jugger that was wearing exactly what you want. the mask, the chestpiece and the cape. Try digging around in TORSPY to see if its in there. I searched quite a bit before deciding that i wanted my assassin to wear imperial pilot pants. Right now i'm waiting for the to put back in the helmet+hood options. But thats another thread...

What he said. I'm as much a mac fanboy as the next nerd. The fact that i'd even consider installing bootcamp is incredible to most of my friends that know me but Star Wars trumps that obviously. I've been running in bootcamp now on my powerbook since day 1 and have only had a few times where things got laggy when there was way too much action going on. For instance last night int he middle of Kaon. Having a mac native client would definitely be a win. It just makes a lot more sense and is definitely better than rebooting in and out all the time. **** i'd run virtual PC if it would work. And to all the haters that are saying it detracts from other development, you have no idea how the game industry works. This isn't Nimblebit where the company consists of 2 guys. It's Bioware. They have huge teams of people working on different things and i can guarantee you the guys who are working on mac dev are not the same guys working on fixing the game and improving it. yes, the Talz is where it supposed to drop from, also that cathar commander that i linked up top. funny story, when it rains it pours. As soon as i bought the pants off GTN i have since bought and sold 2 more pairs within the week. Profit is gooood.

All i know is on Hoth. I found these on Hoth off of a lvl 40 Champion with 137k hp named Kazianna Alvamma. Cords for her 1162 , 124 through the cave going towards the presence datacron had them drop once in 3 kills. Had 2 pieces of this drop when farming the Talz Taskmaster & Talz Veteran for the 2+ Heroic Joint Training on Empire Side I did both of these groups at least 20+ times and got nada. all pieces i've found were popped up on GTN Still haven't seen the robe Actually dont care so much anymore since i got social III and landed my imperial pilot pants. The blacker black matches most stuff much better than the supreme grey.

I do hope we get to see more options even if it it just facial tattoos and skin color. Does seem unfair that Andronikus and Talos get so many but Ashara has only 2. I went with the purple one just because it looks more darkside. The other just made her look even friendlier that just doesn't make sense for a marauder...

*Like* I've been saving up for the imperial pilot pants. Might hit up the belt too then i'm done there. The Balmorra pants don't look too bad for a social II item but its not black. I just couldn't take the salve girl or dancer outfits seriously. Still in my hold though.

I've been wondering this too as i was farming for a while and absolutely no luck from either of the 3 mobs. Even GTN is totally bare on my server. some *** trying to sell saber marshall bracers for 250k. I just wish they didn't make the saber marshall robe bind on pickup.

It shouldn't be hard to have a external browser based app that just does a function to check. At least then you don't have to go all the way through character creation just to have the name be a fail. same goes for Legacy checking.

That's a good point that would make for a great suggestion. Depending on what mount you have you should have different characteristics. The short vertical speeders should have faster strafe/turn speeds. The longer ones like the Aratech's could have a higher top speed.

Only pair that i found on Torhead and is in game that is not a social set is the Supreme Inquisitor Leggings. Freakin hard to find on my server GTN or Hoth drop. There are some others on Torhead but i have no idea where they are in game. I just reached social II last night and picked up the Balmorra Social set, the mask works with a hood. So it seems that my Kalling mask has the flag for hoods off because of the ear pieces that might clip. Way i see it, they should let the players decide if they care about clipping or not with helmets that are a close call. Of course the ridiculous Peacock and Bullhorn helmets shouldn't allow it.
