  1. I don't know if Bioware is ever going to fix Twi'Leks honestly. Hoods don't even show up for us on the armors that have them, making the armors look half finished. Any full Facemasks/Helmets we wear hide the Lekku as if we're Human. Just depressing. Wish I could race change if they're not gonna fix it. My first 50 (Male Twi'lek Sith Inquisitor) has collected dust for nearly a year.
  2. Those aren't too bad, at least the shoulders/boots/bracers aren't ridiculous. I'm sure those will fit into someone's character themes. The second Imperial Agent one, without the helmet, looks particularly awesome.

I just wish we could dye armor like GW2. SWTOR's armors have so little color variance. For example that first set only has two tones, black and red.

  3. Simply said, it would be nice to get Classic versions of some of the end game armors for PvP and PvE. The one I am specifically requesting is a Classic version of the Sith Inquisitor's Dread Guard gear. I love everything about the armor.. except for those curved pieces of metal hanging off the shoulder, bracers, and boots. Nothing else about the set needs to be removed, just those.. meaningless pieces of metal.
  4. I actually wouldn't recommend any class as a Twi'Lek right now. Bioware still hasn't figured out how to handle the Lekku so a lot of armor ends up looking ugly on Twi'Leks. Robes with hoods have them removed, so the chest piece looks half finished. Helmets/Facemasks for the most part hide the Lekku completely as if you're human, only a handful do not (and they're not very good looking, though that is personal opinion). My first character was a Twi'Lek Sith Inquisitor and he is just sitting at 50 collecting dust because I can't find anything I like to wear on him. Want to wear a full helmet or facemask on him so badly but it just doesn't work out. Maybe it's different for female Twi'Leks? I dunno.

Been waiting forever for Bioware to fix it but honestly I don't know if they ever will.

  5. Was wondering how good PvP or Space Battles were for leveling. So damn tired of doing the quests that aren't for your class after my 3rd 50. Didn't find questing to be that fast either. Honestly wish there was a "make 50" button after you do it so many times. That's neither here nor there, though.
  6. My only feedback to the event is two fold.

    1) Dailies... I hate... dailies. So turned off by them I couldn't bring myself to finish the event. Not only are they dailies, but they're grindy dailies. Final nail in the coffin is that you can't get Grey Helix stuff solo.

    2) Love the way the gear looks! The "Tron" look for the Gree stuff, as some would call it, does not bother me. What really sells me on it is the subtle awesomeness of the gear and weapons. Nice effects for the weapons and they're sleek looking. Gear is well colored (not blinding orange or puke green) and has a lot of simply great features (no huge shoulders, Shredder bracers, or Dumpster Samurai helmet). Really looking forward to more gear that is designed with these principles. Pitty I'll never be able to get it due to the aforementioned issues with dailies.

  7. What is SWTOR missing? Sandbox play and innovative combat. A Star Wars MMO should be more actiony, like GW2 or some of the upcoming MMOs like Cryptic's Neverwinter or Blade and Soul. Less abilities, more depth with what you can do with them kind of thing. Needed an interesting, universal cover mechanic. Just played it too safe and in the end that didn't work out so well.

When I look back at past MMOs I don't think "man, those were the days" I think "glad that's over with, when are they going to really hit the mark?" In my opinion what made any game great in the past is all about your experience with it.. community, "coming of age" experiences with the genre, etc. The games themselves probably had very little impact on your memories.

  8. Wow, thank you for bringing this to our attention. That has never been brought up before.

On a less sarcastic note Bioware has made it known that, despite the overwhelming outcry, they will be sticking to their guns with the space combat model. They've stood firm on that since way back in the earliest glimpses of the game when the protesting began. It's unfortunate, but yep... space combat on rails. On the bright side it isn't forced upon you in any way, though I do not think that is any comfort to pilots from SWG.

  9. The very last thing this game required was a faction-grinding system, of all the many alternate progression systems out there in the MMO space this is by far the laziest dirtiest solution & it's so old boring & lacking in imagination.

I'd rather see more sandbox elements make it into the game than tired old ideas like this.

This. I finally dropped my WoW sub due to the insane reputation grind. It'd take nothing short of getting my own planet to incentivize this garbage. Would have been nice if they had spent the development time on something..... better.

Sorry to offend those who enjoy grind.

  10. I wish SWTOR's combat mechanics were like GW2's. Class abilities based off of what weapons you use, then a lot of utility abilities to choose from, with a cover mechanic and a dodge mechanic for all classes.. then the combo fields... aahhhh.

    Alas.. too late.

  11. I apologize for not searching for this as I am short on time at the moment, but does doing the HK-51 Quest unlock him for just that character or does it unlock him for the whole account? Would suck to have to do him more than once with those quest requirements.
  12. I didn't ready every post in this thread, but some of you really need to use the dev tracker. As a lot of the stuff in this thread has been answer by a dev.

After they merge all origin servers into the destination server you will have all characters on that server. However if after the merger you have more than 12 characters you will need to delete some to get under 12 to make a new character.

This is the problem. What should have been a character slot gain ended up being a character slot loss. This system is terrible and it reeks of them trying to get us to buy more character slots just to be able to use all of the characters we already have across different servers rather than being able to pile up (new) character slots on one server.

If this is the case it will the final nail in the coffin for me concerning SWTOR. Had enough of Bioware's disconnection with its player base.
