  1. Wow, I was just coming over the the suggestion box to suggest this. Playing sabacc and pazaak against players would be awesome. I am sure roleplayers would appreciate this was well, especially the smugglers. Although I would be happy no matter how they implemented it, having a setting like the casino on nar shadda would be awesome. But if they went with a style like the tcg in swg i would be fine with that as well. /signed
  2. I personally am a Booster Terrik fan. A smuggler who got his hands on his own Super Star Destroyer, how awesome is that!? Link to a wiki on him incase anybody cares/doesn't know, etc: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Booster_Terrik I am also a Lando Calrissian fan.
  3. I thought aim high gave the 15% crit chance to quickdraw and speedshot? I might be wrong though (either way 15% extra crit chance on trickshot or speedshot is pretty awesome), but I agree with the rest of your post, high crit for pvp due to bursting being so important but also being able to play any spec (I respec in war zones all the time, i start out as ss/sab hybrid but switch if the situation needs me to).
  4. My main in games is usually the one i have the most fun and I am the most efficient with. In this game it is my gunslinger, I love the burst he has and the dialogue options of the smuggler, but I knew what my main was going to be back in beta. However like others said you do not have to have a main you can make all the classes if you wish. I personally don't like force user/ lightsaber classes so all my characters are smugglers/agents,troopers/bounty hunters. Although my Gunslinger is the only one that gets "serious" playtime while the rest are still leveling up. So yeah I guess nothing Ive said has made much since/ might have gone off topic but the short version is: A main is someone who enjoy using the most or if efficiency matters then the one you are the most efficient with, but if you enjoy multiple characters then do it, a "main" isn't necessary.
  5. Gunslinger: My gunslinger would be Chaotic Neutral. He himself comes first. He has no problem helping so long as he gets something in return and has no problem breaking the rules to do it. However he is more likely to help the Republic than the Sith Empire because he values his own freedom. He will not harm others unless necessary. Scoundrel: My Scoundrel would be Neutral Evil. He has no qualms with killing someone to get whatever he desires so be sure to stay out of the way of what he wants. However he will not kill for fun. His alignment stays with the highest bidder, which at the moment is the Republic but it could change at the drop of a credit. Vanguard: My Vanguard is a chaotic good. He offers a helping hand to anyone that needs it. He will do whatever is necessary for the good of everyone, lawful or not. He supports the Republic because he views it as a better alternative to the Sith Empire but still has some concerns about the Republic.
  6. Ah ok, thank you for clearing it up, I have never played wow so I am not 100% sure what it is exactly still lol, but it seems like small team pvp matches (just googled wow arenas for more details). I do wish though if someone is going to reference something from another game they would say where it is coming from so I can at least look up what they are talking about if I never played that particular game/mmo before heh.
  7. Would you care to explain what an arena is? Is it a small pvp location without any terrain advantages/los? You pitch an idea for something but never explain what it is. So i don't know if I support it or not since you never explained what it is, but as someone else mentioned cross-server warzones should come first, in my opinion. Basing from what other folks have said I'm guessing its under 8man team fights or 1v1?
  8. Hightail it is not spammable, it has a 20 second cooldown, its for gunslingers/snipers only So I am going to assume you mean the scamper ability for Operatives/Scoundrels. If it is used 3-4 times they have no energy left so "spamming" isnt really a thing unless they are trying to get to a node, etc. On top of that snaring them cuts down the range. It also has some bugs when you are not using it on flat ground, it can fail to go far. Here is a link to the ability description so you know exactly what it does/costs. Smugglers only have 100 energy* http://www.torhead.com/ability/2WlgVBn/scamper
  9. Oh yes I remember the days of battlemaster bag roulette: taking 1 - 2 weeks to get one piece of armor haha, and it was just random chance, you only got 2 bags a day so basically you had a daily cap where as now its all about how much someone puts into it suppose. Or when It gave pieces of armor and getting multiple pairs of boots! So yes it is much better now then it was although I can see why some folks are mad, I wish my battlemaster gear counted for something (I quit before warhero stuff came out and just recently returned)
  10. I would love that, that is the first thing I tested when I got it, I though of the awesomeness it would have as Tactics/AP but alas it cannot I still like it though, 7 rockets is nice as tactics or the rare time I go tank in pvp the healing from it is a life savior since it allows you to heal while stunned.
  11. Hmm the blue does look a bit different. I thought it was just my mind since I haven't played in a year but now that I know its not it makes me wonder why?
  12. Haha I love the idea. I would like to roll a melee character without the glowbats, that is what attracted me to vanguard way back in beta but would love a vibroblade class. I know I could roll a jedi and use vibroblades but there is still the force aspect of it, never been a fan of the whole jedi thing that's why all my characters are troopers/smugglers/BH/Agent. Altough I am comptemplating on rolling a guardian and letting him use trooper looking armor and a viboblade, Anyways back on topic I like the idea so yes /signed.
  13. Early on I enjoyed the saboteur tree, the low cool-down on thermal grenade + 30% crit damage made clearing groups of mobs very easy. I think I ran something close to this around level 28, its been a long time so its hard to remember haha http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#700ZbIMbRob.3 Also with contingency charges + insurrections energy is not a problem on longer fights I say saboteur because while Dirty Fighting and Sharpshooter trees are awesome, most of their awesome stuff comes at level 30+ (trick shot for ss, wounding shots for dirty fighting ). Past level 30 I swapped between them continuously. They are all great trees.
  14. Oh you are right I can trade them for credits....very few credits, seems like such a low return for something (if I remember right) was a pain to get, i remember the pain of the Battlemaster bag roulette and now they are just a few credits But thanks for letting me know, I might just keep them for old time sake
  15. Oh ok, I guess I never noticed the sides looked different lol I will have to look next time for which is which. But people seriously remember which side is snowy which is grassy better than east/west? ? That seems, odd. Thanks for clearing that up.
  16. Ok I lied, two questions. Okay so I have not played since around March 2012 and just coming back today to look at the new stuff and out of boredom/curiosity but I am a bit lost on two points 1) Ok so from what I gather battle-master gear is now (which I have) is now obsolete (It was the best when I left) but I still have some battle master commendations and don't know what to do with them. I asked in general chat on the fleet but was just ignored and accused of buying my account >.> 2) Ok so i have found out about naked pvp so I am queuing with my outdated stuff but something is bothering me. I'm getting yelled at for saying east and west on the aldeeran(?) map. What is up with this, I'm being told to use snow and grass but I have no idea what that means, I'm guessing it is a new thing? I always remember it as east/west and if there is a reasoning behind the name then why is it better that simple east/west? Thank You,
  17. I will be in for the weekend event, Wish i was in full beta though lol
  18. Well I have played GW1 since its release in 2005(off and on). So yeah Im excited about GW2 . Get to play it this weekend for the BWE since I pre-ordered already so hopefully it lives up to expectations.
  19. As a vanguard I dont use explosive round(?) The ability you get at like level 2 that costs 3 ammo. I also do not use Full Auto.
  20. Ill just pop in here for a sec.. Now this entire thread seems to be about damage so I wont touch on that. I just came in to say that everyone seems to be forgetting about the talent, Frontline Defense. This is probably the best box someone can pick up for pvp. Just ask a healer the difference between a 8 and 6 sec cd interrupt.
  21. Gunslingers are awesome! Idk why more people dont play them. Especially now with all the marauders rolling around. Gunslinger is a good counter to marauders due to cover (cant force leap on you) two knockbacks and a root. Some ive killed before they even touched me hehe.
  22. Theres a level 20 version and a Level 50 version, its the same for all orange weapons. I have yet to get the level 50 version but i got the level 20 schematic from a rank 2 inv. mission.
  23. they were always like this, stat wise, the tooltips were just bugged. I was dissapointed when I found out a while back to
  24. /sign people die to fast and the healer population has dropped dramatically since you can get double the dps from pre 1.2 to 1.2 but healing has stayed the same.
