I just critted the bracers today and I crafted them only twice. Gotta collect some more Biometric Alloy to try and crit my belt, too. Anyways, it can and has been done, but it's heavily luck-dependent... So, good luck

Incoming changes to global cooldown UI Blog Discussion

This looks fantastic, especially the cooldown text overlay. Thank you, Bioware, for listening to players' feedbacks and trying to cater to everyone! -
Something is off with him, as I wiped the first time I fought him after going from ~30% health to zero in 2 seconds, without missing an interrupt on his channeled ability. On second try I killed him without any problems using the same tactics. If I remember correctly, I was lvl32 Sentinel at the time.

Windows 8 : Anybody running TOR on this OS?
shotif replied to Killertree's topic in General Discussion
I don't see why not, Win8 beta is as stable as Win7 ever was, and even better optimized in some situations -

I'm running TOR on Windows 8 without issues, but on a regular PC, so I can't tell if it'll run on an Air -
For god's sake, stop whining about this... Space combat is fun and dynamic (although too easy currently, IMO) and it's a nice minigame to distract you from ground combat. I just hope they keep the current space combat (and add wome difficulty to it, though they are doing it with additional bonus objectives after you repeat it several times, but it's still too easy) + add free flight PvP and group PvE missions in an expansion. Tl;dr space combat is fun, distracting and completely OPTIONAL and I hope they keep it this way with a possible additon of multiplayer space combat.

It's a great time sink, you need 30+ minutes to find one piece of equipment

Just like Empire (haters) vs. Republic (fanbois), it actually fits into the game theme nicely

This is not true, I compare mods like this all the time. Just close out the inventory (though I think I do it by mouse every time and not by shorcut, but I'm not sure ATM) and open the char window

I would just like to see a mailbox on my ship. Stim vendors are fine, GTN (although somewhat cumbersome, especially because of the 1 hour delay and 50 item limit) is ok (but I would like a GTN terminal on my ship, too, but I suppose it's just too much to ask), just give me a god damn mailbox on my ship and I'll be happy

If the content is not challenging, leave your companions on your ship and do the quests really solo! Every time I find an area too easy, I just dismiss my companion or send him on a crew skill mission and sweat a little bit by myself (and it really is extremely hard without a companion, I'm playing Jedi Sentinel, so I get my dose of challenge and fun).

Do space combat dailies and every planet bonus series in addition to class and bonus quests and you shoud be fine soloing. You can get back to lower level flashpoints and heroics, too

I'd love to see access to the GTM from my ship, but I suppose that won't happen

I noticed major issues with space combat because of lag... If your connection doesn't have "full bars" on the indicator in the lower right corner, enemy interceptors just won't die... I'm not sure why lag would impact this part of the game AT ALL since it's SP only
