  1. why add any element of thought to it? Snow side and grass side. It's that simple. No one needs to check maps or pay attention to direction. Snow side, grass side. Middle.
  2. no. simple as that. even now though, the endgame PvP is bad enough that I have decided not to resub after my 35 days are up
  3. i just didn't get credit for a warzone win.
  4. lol this is pretty funny. I'm just so surprised to see these things b/c I really thought BW had polished all of these things out when they said that their game was "polished"
  5. Unfortunately, I think you're right in that they can't fix their setup. However, BW makes nerfs based on metrics. I don't think they nerf other classes just upon the premise of crybabies.
  6. Ok, cool. But how much more fun would you be having if you not only enjoyed PvP combat but also had a purpose to it. What if you were actually fighting a war rather than just pretending to? I'm willing to bet my subscription on the premise that you would enjoy PvP much more if you were actually accomplishing something other than gear. If I'm wrong, well, oh well I'm unsubbing when my 35 days are up anyway. I'll check back later when this game has more content after 50.
  7. Yes but what's the POINT of it all? We are, after all, supposed to be at WAR right? I don't feel like I'm at war with anything. When I log off, I have no worries for my faction. I'm not worried about the war going on in this universe at all. There is nothing to worry about. Reps and Imps are simply all working towards one common goal, gearing themselves for d**k measuring purposes. When you log off, do you worry about how your faction will do when you're not in the SW universe? Do you worry about losing control of Ilum, which we are supposed to be fighting over? Do you wonder how you can get the upper hand over the Reps (ignoring the fact that we vastly outnumber them)? Do the "War Zones" actually matter at all to the war between our two factions? No, PvP is completely and utterly pointless, just like in WoW. The only thing casual and hard core PvPers alike have to work for is gear. That's it. They can't work towards bettering their faction. They can't fight a war. They can't do anything but farm valor and gear up. This is a huge problem for a story driven MMO. If you want everyone to care about the story, then they need to feel like they are a part of the story. Not only do I feel like I'm not a part of the story, but I can't connect with this Star Wars universe at all.
  8. 1) PvP that is relevant to the game, its story, and the factions - not just centered around gearing just for the hell of gearing. More world PvP. Less focus on instanced. DAoC, Dominus system. (Think about it. WZs are like mini-games who's sole purpose is a valor farm. They are otherwise irrelevant to the game. Ilum is boring, imbalanced, and worthless to the game with the exception of being an open-world valor farm.) 2) Wins count toward daily 3) Some way of mitigating the population imbalance
  9. No, you're not alone. I said in your other thread, there is no point to PvP except gear. It has as no effect on the game, just as space missions have no effect on the game. It's pointless, and it just feels like....wait I enjoyed 1-49 now *** do I do? PvP w/o meaning is just a d**k measuring contest b/w those with gear and those w/o. We accomplish nothing through PvP w/ exception of gearing ourselves and our companions. So....yea the entire endgame feels incomplete. I truly thought that PvP would be tied to the story with this being so story focused and all, but BW apparently didn't see the need to make PvP meaningful.
  10. You know, this wouldn't be a problem if the entire purpose of the PvP aspect of the game wasn't just to gear. Why play WZ? To get valor for gear. They are irrelevant to the game. Why play Ilum? To get gear and valor. Otherwise it's irrelevant to the game. When the whole purpose of PvP is JUST to get gear, then it just becomes a race to see who can get geared first. That means all the casuals will be pissed. Simple solution is PvP shouldn't purely be about getting gear. Gear should be something you get along the way, something you get while attempting to do something greater. PvP just needs more relevance. But in the meantime, "yo ima gamer that goez HARD every DAY! This all I does eryday! Hustle! Hustle! Hustle! HARD!!!! I so f*n hard core man, and I tired of theze CAS playerz complaining that dey gotta life! BW man, quit letting the cas playas enjoy PvP, cuz they don't deserve that! If they caint sacrifice everything in their life and dedicate 5 hrs eryday to PvP grind then they can go play uh FPS man! Give me something to GRIND!!!!!! I jus wanna grind baby so I can be duh bes!!!!!!!!! Man, f*** Papa Johns man Ima call in today cuz I wanna hit valor 80! Man, screw this geometry assignment I don need good gradz in high school! Imma hard core PvPer!!! Hustle! Hustle! Hustle! HARD!!!!"
  11. i'm pretty sure he is making fun of casual gamers....
  12. no casual gamer would use the word "ergo", especially if they were the alpha male getting loads of vag b/w WZ matches but this was funny
  13. It's showing how boring the game is at 50. You just prance around on the planets, worrying about nothing until you get instanced into a warzone that has nothing to do with the rest of the game.
