  1. What gets me is that Type 4 isn't really fat at all. Ever look at it from the side? She has a little waist! It's just all T&A. Lots of T&A. So, rather than looking like she's a stockier type of fighter like I wanted her to, my Jugg tank just looks like she has to buy the good bras to comfortably flip around doing her Sith fighting style. It's definitely not a very good analog to the male body type 4.
  2. As you gain renown, it does get better. Far fewer people feel the need to mention how dirty you are, for instance.
  3. You CAN do it with a PUG... but only when a person and, preferably, a few of his or her friends pull the group together, provide a Ventrilo server, gear check everyone, and kick anyone who wipes the group more than once at Toth and Zorn. Otherwise it's a nightmare.
  4. How about for a tank Jugg? I'm getting ready to hit 50 and am crafting MK-6 kits, but what augments should I be using? Shield? Defense? Arsenal merc is so straightforward compared to this.
  5. Wait, so, when my warrior told him, "You are no longer welcome in my quarters," that didn't break up the marriage? She might, MIGHT have forgiven him if he groveled. Eventually. But there's not even a, "Will you take me back?" In the case of my warrior, I really sat and thought about that breakup option before I picked it. I mean, she's a Sith - not 100% darkside, very Empire-devoted, but still a Sith. Betrayal is practically foreplay. It's just... he was so stupid about it. I appreciate the alternate theories presented in this thread about him failing accidentally on purpose, especially with his wistful dialog during the confrontation. But there has to be some kind of follow-through on that, like at least an apology. As it is, I couldn't look at him for a few hours, until I realized that dragging him around everywhere, making him heal me, and not looking at or addressing him as a person would be a pretty good, embarrassing punishment. "Can't trust you on the ship for a while, Quinn. Allons-y."
  6. The Chestplate of Unstoppable War, from the first boss in normal Red Reaper, is red and black. I personally love it, and it does have fully red sleeves. Not sure if it's red enough for you, but take a look! Guildies can help you farm it pretty quickly, since it's the first boss.
  7. Interesting. I think I agree with your conclusion about the Sith Warrior. For Bounty Hunter, my guess would be human or cyborg. Gender, not sure. My experience has made pretty good sense as a female cyborg, but I don't doubt I've forgotten story details by now. Although, actually, a ton of people made sure to tell me how scruffy and dirty I was, so maybe that's a form of anti-alien prejudice? But then that Alderaanian nobleman hit on my toon blatantly, and she managed to sleep with one human Imp officer, which might be less likely occurances for nonhumans in the human-loving Empire. And all the soldier types and Mandalorians acted familiar enough to indicate that human might be the BH default. I'm interested to see what evidence others can bring up.
  8. I... agree. I didn't used to; I thought just making the new gear with its set bonus bound to armor slot was enough. But it's taking me too long. I'm not in a guild that does EC HM; I PUG storymode if I get lucky. War Hero I have, and I finally did move its mods to an orange chest and headpiece - and boy was it expensive! It's painful. The one good thing, however, is that if I get Black Hole gear, I can drop those mods into Rakata skins and keep the bonus - though, again, that's at a huge credit cost. And a cost to my style, because BH is way snazzier-looking than Rakata! I'd be happy with cheaper mod transfers, fixing set bonuses, or both.
  9. Or they just PVP enough to get full BM while still doing PVE. :-p Tionese isn't even worth having if you have BM gear, weapon aside; I spent most of those commendations and crystals on companions. Especially when BM because super easy to get. Also, if a person managed to get full Tio without a single piece of Columi, I'd wonder how often they FINISHED endgame PVE instances.
  10. Hell, as a dpser, I would love to see Target of Focused Target. Then, in delicate ops, I can focus the tank and more quickly make sure I'm killing the thing he's actively tanking. When there's a mosh pit of friends and enemies, that functionality is important.
  11. Queue up for Red Reaper and run that a few times. It's fun, and it'll boost your xp.
  12. Playing The Secret World is making me really wistful for what might have been in terms of my swtor character looks. I have 1-2 great-looking armor sets for my main character, but I can't wear them. Why? For my Columi/Rakata mix, I'd lose the set bonus. (So not looking forward to losing my Jugg's carefully crafted look when she starts getting Columi.) And I'm going to be stuck like that for a damn long while, because my guild isn't even attempting EC right now. For pvp, while I do have War Hero gear, it is prohibitively expensive to trade out mods. I don't have endless time to play; I'd rather work on getting my second 50 or take my 50 through an op than grind dailies for cash on a given night's alloted time. I really wish they'd move the Rakata set bonus to the armor mod and lower the cost of gear customization, or even drop it altogether for 50s. When you're leveling, it might (maybe, somehow) be worth making you decide, "Do I pull out this enhancement for my companion to use or just install a new one over it?" but not when getting a new look for your endgame character breaks the bank.
  13. As my Juggernaut, every time I hop on my speeder, Guard goes away. I run around most of the time with an unguarded companion because I just can't remember to retoggle it constantly. It would be really great if Guard, as cast on companions, persisted through speeder rides.
  14. I like this idea. Goodness knows I appreciate LJ Notes enough; it could be even more helpful in tOR.
  15. Are you allergic to Rapid Shots? Or Fusion Missile if it's a good aoe situation?
  16. I'm not mocking you, but to me, it's like you're speaking in tongues here. Just goes to show how many different types of gamer there are. I would ask, "What's the good of more XP if there's no more story?" I love story, and I want to see more of my characters and their companions growing and getting into things. I have that roleplayer/fangirl-type personality that makes me sit there, wondering, "What does my BH's mother think of her Mandalorian son-in-law? What would my Jugg do if someone kidnapped Vette?" I like leveling, too, but I'd gladly take a story-only expansion over a level-only expansion (not that I think the latter would ever happen in this game). Also, I would like to actually finish Denova before the addition of new levels and gear make it a hollow achievement. But that's a separate issue purely related to how slowly I'm progressing in pve. I guess my point here is that there will be no pleasing everyone.
  17. Honestly, Chaff Flare barely does anything as it is, though I bet it'd be alright if it had a shorter cooldown.
  18. I'll add my voice to the chorus: I'm happy!
  19. I honestly think the whole augment thing is stupid, for the same reason I now think Sprint is stupid. Sprint used to be a perk at level 15, a skill you bought. Yay! Now you get it at level one, turn it on, and never turn it off. Why is it even a skill? Just increase the base movement speed and move on. Augments used to be something special that was really difficult to get. Gave you a definite advantage, but was too much effort to do for your whole set for most people at 50. Now, you'll be able to add augments to everything, effectively adjusting balance a step. Everyone will be going for them on everything. Why even have them? Boss fights will be harder to balance, and gear level will be even more sprawled and skewed between new 50s, old 50s, rich and industrious ones, and ones that are lazier and resentful of yet another thing they have to work on to get best-in-slot. Like farming extra gear and moving mods around wasn't enough. I know, augmented gear was BiS before, but now it'll be so widespread so as to actually be required to do any good in, say, rated warzones after a few weeks. So, once everyone has them... well, crap, why not either get rid of augments entirely, upping tier gear stats to match the difference, or make top tier gear come with the slots already?
  20. But that's the thing - currently-subscribed players who have characters on the "dead" servers have them on there for a reason. For most of us, it's because we're waiting for paid transfers. I'm loving it over on Prophecy of the Five (pvp), but I can't currently get my Mind Trick (pve) Repub character to join my Imps there. My only free option is to move her to some other pve server - which is worthless to me. So my Mind Trick character sits idle. If I can't join her to my legacy or play on the same server as my guild, what's the point of moving or playing her? Open up paid transfers, and a bunch of us will undoubtedly pull characters off those dead servers onto the big ones, so all you'll have left are unsubbed people and people who just like tiny servers for some reason. THEN you can worry about whether you want to close servers.
  21. It's really annoying, I agree. I didn't think it was at first, but every time a mob gets knocked out of range by the very attack I'm trying to kill him with, I get a little more irritated. They could at least make it a stun instead of a knockback. I also wish people wouldn't use their big knockback on the group of weak mobs attacking them just as I deploy DFA, making it so I hit nothing, but that's a separate issue. (I know you're a healer, but just sit tight for three seconds, and they'll all be mostly dead!)
  22. You know, for all the funky-lettered names I see, I have yet to see the non-funky version of ANY of those names. I think a lot of what was taken already was from people who have since quit, or who don't play those alts anymore, or what have you. I think some people forget, too: Names in games like this aren't just a matter of personal preference, but it's kind of a big deal, socially. At least for PVPers. "Gotta kill that guy!" "I HATE that guy!" "YAY, she's on my team!" It's your rep! Even if there are a George and a Geórge now, people from the latter's original server will know that it's the one with the Dude Legacy, or in Guild Awesome, that they have to watch out for. If George had to become Rude of Guild Awesome, they have no way of knowing it's George. Could be some new dude Guild Awesome picked up.
  23. Legitimate question: Are people really sending a ton of mail to people not in their guild or on their friends list? Are you whispering people that aren't in chat, aren't in your social window, and are not in front of you? The mail "To:" section starts suggesting guild and friend names as soon as you type a letter, you can click on any name in any chat to whisper the person, and you can right-click social window names or player portraits to whisper or invite anyone. It's a little inconvenient in the case of invites, but I don't quite get why it's worth the response it's getting here.
  24. How thin is the oxygen up on that high horse? Honestly, I lost my main's name, and I did not see it coming. Fiora? I made that up out of the blue in beta; how could I guess anyone else would take it? And my entire guild calls me, "Fi," even over vent, so that's the most awkward name to change. So, Fióra it is, until it gets too inconvenient and I have to beg customer service for Fior'a or something. This does not make me an unimaginative tool, as you seem to think it does.
