  1. Apparently you couldn't tell that those numbers and the statement where meant to be a hyperbole, like all the complaints usually are. Sorry if it wan't clear enough, i edit it for you.
  2. Still doesn't change to fact that even if 100% of the people here agreed on a problem, they all still could be totally off the ball when it comes to the 90% of others playing the game. Also those who complain(like yourself) about population/activity want us to believe that its not just their server(and a few others), and as a whole the game will fail if they don't cater to their whims. Its like they think the 30(hyperbole numbers pulled from my rear) people playing on their "dead" server would be missed in the sea of millions that are playing on servers that are healthy.
  3. Server transfers are coming in a few months, look it up. Before you ask the reason for the delay is they want you to be able to have your legacy transfer with you. The forums are not a household and they represent the smallest portion of the player base, all of which have an agenda they are trying to push on others. There is a problem with server population/activity on some servers. It's is just not as wide spread as you want us to believe and can be inferred to be that activity is down because of the impending patch. But either way, it doesn't change the fact they your still going to have to wait for them to finish implementing it.
  4. Then by that logic nothing on theses forums should be taken seriously... including this thread. BW has the numbers and will take action on them, they are the ones who really have a vested interest in keeping the game afloat. Also it helps to have the server name(from your previous post), so people can tell if your blowing smoke up their posterior.
  5. Something is being done about it you're just not patient enough to wait for it. They can't just snap there fingers and magically have a transfer system in place that doesn't cause more issues then it solves. So either wait, quit, or re-roll... because complaining about it does absolutely nothing
  6. Needs to be repeated. They have announced the plans (told you 2 months in advance, btw) and how long its going to take to implement them. So yes it is your fault for staying on your "dead" server, and having a tantrum because they haven't bent to your will. To those betting on server mergers/transfers to "save" the game for you, do your self a favor and quit now. I'm sure they way they implement them will not be exactly what your expecting.
  7. This thread is proof positive that people will complain about anything. I don't even understand how this could even be something to complain about, I personally was happy to see it. Also for those that wonder why they don't just up the run speed, its because sprint isn't usable in combat.
  8. They where also small in comparison to WoW and ToR, so less people playing is more noticeable and merging servers is better thing to do business wise. They also did it on their own, not because of some outrage from there players.
  9. To all the people saying they need to merge servers: IT'S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!!.... ...anytime soon that is... if ever. Transfers are coming, not server mergers(WoW still hasn't merged any servers and some of them are absolutely dead and have been for years). So whining, crying, threatening doom, quitting or threatening to quit will have no effect on making them merge your server. They have the numbers, they know every individual servers population and how may are active on that server. So unless they decide to do it, it's never going to happen.
  10. Asking for server mergers before they even have a transfer system implemented is asinine. They have already announced when you can expect to see them, server transfers not mergers, so its a moot point. I'm not saying its not a problem for some of you, it's just not as wide spread as some of you would like people to believe. Complaining about it for the next couple of weeks till your blue in the face, wont make it happen any faster.
  11. Don't see them offering any solutions, so yes that all the argument needed. Things have deadlines, and they stuffed all they could in before that time period. If you can't accept that an MMO will be in "beta" for 3-6 months after release, you need to find another genre of games to play. Or you can just accept reality, and get on with your life.
  12. You would think people would barley notice a 2 hour down time, since the game is dying and full of empty servers. Honestly this was probably was a test, one the trolls/haters of this forum failed miserably at.
  13. If 2 hours downtime is enough to make you quit then you shouldn't play MMOs.
  14. Not at all true, when I mention my legacy level to most people they are shocked at how high it is. The average for legacy levels is probably about 15, at least that has been my experience when I have mentioned my legacy level is a stone throw away form 26.
  15. It's on the way... either wait or quit. Are you purposefully ignoring everything the devs are doing/saying just so you have something to complain about?
  16. You see you'd whole point falls apart when you realize that the forums are one of the smallest portions of the player base and is disproportional to the actual attitudes of the majority playing the game. Transfers and LFG are coming, they have heard your cries and are incoming with the solutions so either wait for them to be here or quit, because there is nothing else you can do. Also to clarify: I do believe there is a population problem on some servers, it's just not a big enough deal for them to do something as drastic as server mergers.
  17. I take it this is your first MMO, this happens a lot in them, save for people being mad about things that already had no meaning to begin with, usually they are stoked there are new thing to do for a while. 1.2 is just like every major patch in the history of the any game and will get sever activity(not population like this thread is wrongfully implying) back up, but then you guys will have something new to ***** about. I can see you're already toting the line "should have been in at release" that phrase is going to be more and more popular when you guys run out of real thing to complain about.
  18. Its not a real problem, or its just not as big of one that you guys seem to think it is.
  19. If you take a look at server population trends in MMOs like this: http://www.warcraftrealms.com/weekly...hp?serverid=-1 You'll see that server population goes up and and down in conjuncture with patch releases, and this is very common in most MMOs. The sky is not falling.
  20. Most of the naysayer believe that the population is closer to 850k then the 1.7million number that was given to us on feb 1st. Peak server pop is usually around 10-20%(I used 15% even thought its probably closer to 10% due to the impending 1.2 patch) of the total population, and there are currently 220 servers. With 850k people playing peak time there would be about 580 people per server, that's well into the "light" category for all the servers. Those of us with eyes in our head can see this is not the case, as there are only a handful of "light" servers during peak times. Not looking very believable..... So, lets plug in some numbers that lean towards the notion that population is growing like say 2 million: That works out to about 1363 people per server, which puts most of them "standard" category with the rest being "heavy" and "light" with a couple at "very heavy". Those of us with eyes in our heads can see that this is usually the case at peak times. "Light" is based of an informal /who 1-50 population survey of the most populated "light" server I could find and it had 618 people on it. "Standard" is based off the same method for finding the "light" number, found one server with 1038 people and another with 1385 people, both in the "standard" category.
  21. If you take a look at server population trends in MMOs like this: http://www.warcraftrealms.com/weeklyfactionactivity.php?serverid=-1 You'll see that server population goes up and and down in conjuncture with patch releases, and this is very common in most MMOs.
  22. Not sure if your serious, because those are the numbers. Back in the day when WoW hit 1 million simultaneous players, they literally **** a brick and told the whole world how big it was. (http://www.wired.com/gamelife/2008/04/wow-china-tops/) It was back in 2008 after WotLK came out, when they where or where close to the 10million+ subs mark. Also how much someone plays has no relation to the amount people are logged on at once.
  23. Posted a while back, but apparently needs to be repeated.
  24. Feb 1st was one month after the game was out, but don't let things like that get in the way of your hate.
