  1. Am I wrong in saying that with Merciless Zeal (2% heal per DoT crit) + Zen (1% health per tick + 100% crit chance for DoTs for the next 6 ticks) nets a total of 18% health return for the player? Obviously I'm using terms for Sentinels, but if the 18% is right, how is that something to laugh at?
  2. The OP isn't saying remove tanks... OF COURSE tanks have a place in PvP. Have any of you gone against a team of competent Tanks and Healers on Voidstar? It's like smashing your head against a brick wall. I could coordinate with other people to kill the healer, or even the tank, but guess what? All they need to do is to survive long enough for that same person you just killed to come out of spawn and start the process all over again. As long as the healer or tank was alive, all they needed to do was interrupt your plants. The OP is simply saying take a look at the ridiculous synergy Tanks + Healers are able to provide for a team. Although I don't encounter this regularly, I can understand how this could be an issue.
  3. I'll agree it's rather hard. I've only seen it once as Watchman, popping Inspiration with buffs against a 50 with no expertise gear. Otherwise it's always around 3.5k. Done it as Focus a good amount before though, but I can't play on that spec too long before I miss Watchman.
  4. 75k damage 300k damage Killing Blow Solo Kill 1k Defender 3k Defender 75k healing 10 enemies killed 25 enemies killed 2.5k single hit 5k single hit
  5. I'm wasting forum space to say that Disappearing Act not going off half the time in WZs makes me want to punch a baby in the face. Holy mother of all rage.
  6. As a Champion geared Sentinel there is literally only one class that I would fear at this moment, and that's another geared Sentinel/Marauder. Good Shadow/Assassins worry me sometimes though.
  7. I don't really care to discuss whether this class is OP or not, frankly I don't care. It is pretty funny to start the match and 10 seconds in all you hear are channeled lightning spells. Sometimes I disable the sound, I find it annoying as hell.
  8. Did they nerf the living crap out of this fight? I figured I'd finally do the story quest, and after reading stories on the forums I figured I'll die a few times. My T7-01 literally has no upgraded gear except one piece. I didn't even know you were supposed to single target the adds, I just burned the main body, interrupted everything. At first I thought it was supposed to be an "easy" fight before the "true" final fight but that wasn't the case. Granted I'm almost in full Champ gear. Did my fight glitch out or something?
  9. Ah well, I'm willing to accept that good healers can survive against a single dpser. It's not the worst thing in the world to have my friend come and help me a bit. Plus I simply like Watchman's playstyle with dots + self heals, and as you said, the spec itself is very strong. However there are plenty of things I like about the other 2 specs as well... Oh sentinel what a fun class you are.
  10. Huh... I've played Focus as well (in fact all 3 specs) and I didn't really get that feeling. In fact I switched back to Watchman specifically because I wanted to kill healers. Maybe I'm missing something? Personally I find the 6s interrupt and 0m Force Leap devastating against healers (not to mention Awe and Stasis as backup interrupts, then again all 3 specs have this) Once I start up with Leg Slash and Crippling throw, it's only a matter of time before my 3 stacks of OS + Cauterize + Zen and Merciless Slash drop them like flies. I will say though Focus is so fun to play... when the Sweep actually lands (lol lag)
  11. As a Sent with almost all Champ gear, it makes me sad to see this, because I think the complete opposite. In my experience our ability to destroy healers is unrivaled. My teammates LOVE the fact that I can take them out quickly (as Watchman). We also bring Transcendence, and I cannot tell you how amazing this is when team play comes into the equation. Group heals are nice, and the ability to heal 18% of your health while popping Zen is nothing to laugh at either. Opinions on our survivability seems split on these forums. I personally think it's very good. Awe, Pacify, Force Camo, Guarded by the Force, Saber Ward, Rebuke help me survive for a very long time. Very often, I'll take on 3 players and end up killing 2 before dying myself, or even use Camo to escape the enemy (Transcendence + Camo gives you great results for this). I don't know what to tell you about the damage, because in my experience it seems rather good. By good I mean almost always top damage, if not 2nd. I honestly thought this would not be the case once the 50's bracket was introduced... but I'm doing just as much damage as before (then again the Imperial side was almost always full of 50s prior to the update). So far the only issue that I haven't changed my mind on is the ability stuttering. THAT is extremely frustrating. (and now the CD indicator change on our bars... that is annoying as well)
  12. I really don't want this thread to go unnoticed by the Devs. I can't believe I've been playing this long with 30% less damage on my crits.
  13. Same here. I won 15 out of 16 games today, the one we lost was by 20 points.
  14. I would like to know if you guys share this bug as well. This is pretty big.
  15. Yes, medpacs no longer count for those 2.5k/5k heals. Before you could use Guarded by the Force and use it as the match started for easy 2 medals. (You need to do it without the 30% heal debuff) However as Watchman you can still get the 75k heal medal. Granted the match needs to last long enough. (Our server has been steamrolling over Sith in WZs today for whatever reason, they don't last long enough at all)
  16. This is what we did. I am on republic, and we gathered around 12 people in an Ops group and zerg'd small groups in a Guerrilla Warfare style tactic. We simply couldn't take on a huge group of 50+ Imps, but we all got our daily done that's for sure. When it works like this, yes, it's fun. However this still doesn't solve the ridiculous frame issues though. Even with about 30 people on screen it gets pretty slow, can't even imagine with more people. Can't really have a huge world pvp going on if it's going to cause everyone to be viewing a slideshow while playing.
  17. About the only good thing that came out of this patch it seems. 50 vs 50 is fun, for whatever reason it seems even easier now. Then again I don't have queue time problems because the server I'm on is populated enough. Must be horrible for low pop servers.
  18. I go to Ilum. There's about 50+ Imps waiting outside the base. There are 7 of us. They rush. Our asses are ravaged. Luckily, I escaped.

    Interrupting Heals

As a Watchman sentinel (pure damage class) we destroy healers. 6 sec CD interrupt. Crippling throw. Force Leap. Force Stasis. Awe (last resort) Line up Zen with OS + Cauterize + Merciless Slash + Dispatch (Perhaps add in trink + Adrenal if you have that too). Especially if you have dots up with the enemy around 40%, just use Force Stasis and their health will be low enough for Dispatch immediately. Bye bye healer. If they made interrupts lock out a whole school instead of that specific cast, classes like Sents will need to be changed.
  20. Don't confuse OS with Cauterize. Cauterize doesn't tick for 1400. I'm saying this as a person with everything Champion w/ 2 Centurion and one 50 orange.
  21. Overpowered? No. But it's cool that a thread like this was finally made. Yeah, at 10% expertise I'm hitting pretty *********** hard even against other 50s with pvp gear right now. If it were not for their kiting abilities their face would melt off, even healers.
  22. If interrupts lock out a "school" of spells, I'm afraid certain classes like a Watchman spec'd Sentinel would simply be too good. 6 sec CD for kick is pretty amazing already. We also have a mez, channeled stun, and leap stun to interrupt further (does not lock out). Personally for this game the interrupt locking out that single spell works nicely. When I interrupt healers I look for the heavy heal to interrupt, usually works.
  23. Transcendence. (Infinite usage as Focus spec, 30% added to speed as Watchman) Inspiration. Awe. 6s CD Force Kick (Watchman) 45s CD Pacify (Watchman) Group heals (Watchman) Rebuke. Saber Ward. Force Camouflage (Talented into break snares or 100% damage reduction) Guarded by the force. There's more to the game than just Tank/Heals/Damage. We have the ability to survive a long time timing our CDs, and since all WZ are based on objectives rather than simple slaying, buying that much time with abilities is more than enough for your teammates to come and help. We have the ability to single out healers and destroy them. We can increase the momentum of your whole team using raid wide buffs.
