  1. Rating MMO's is pointless. Considering most people play for future potential and its a constantly evolving genre its like trying to nail air to a wall. The game has a lot of latent awesomeness in it, it's a waiting game to see how much of that Bioware can squeeze out.
  2. These kind of threads are just making me chuckle nowdays... Have fun playing a game you don't enjoy. I'll be in the other version of SWTOR that noone seems to be playing.
  3. I think people need to understand a few universal truths: 1. This game isn't going anywhere. Bioware isn't going to pick up sticks and leave just cause a few hundred people complain about it on the forums THEY provide. People get too paranoid that Bioware take all the game bashing to heart and will chuck a 2 year old tantrum and leave. 2. This game is going to continue to to have sustainable subs. They stated that 500,000 is all they really need to keep profitable, and I believe this. I think Bioware knew that number was a given the moment they slapped the Star Wars Logo on the box. 3. People need to keep retrospective of everything. Its been mentioned a few times by other posters, but arguing with the people bashing the game isn't going to help anyone. They're venting their frustrations to the only audience who may give a damn, and thats fine, that is why these forums are here. We can't really deny them that right. The best thing to do is to ignore the troll posts, nod attentively at the ones that have legitimate points and understand that people may not be having a good of a time as you might be. Sorry if this seems out of the blue but I see a lot of posts from people trying to passively reaffirm themselves that they aren't wasting their time on a dying MMO. Chill, its not going anwhere.
  4. This morning I forgot a security question. The only way to resolve this issue is to ring Customer Service, which is annoying when calling from Australia (international calls and what not). Gotta say though, I was impressed by the speed they picked up and resolved my issue (the entire call took 4 mintues). So kudo's to that bioware. I know other people are having horror stories about customer service etc, but I thought that I'd just share my albeit small experience I had with them this afternoon.
  5. So far I've seen people complain about: - Not enough updates - Too many updates - Downtimes are too long - Downtimes are too short - Why are downtimes finishing 6 hours early - Why aren't all downtimes finishing early It does truly seem like bioware can't please anyone on general.
  6. <Insert obligatory "Stop comparing SWToR to a game thats been in development for 7 years" comment.>
  7. Well thought out post, and you made sure you dictated that it was your opinion only. For that reason, I wish that noone maul's this post.
  8. I already look back on the absolute raging about the Early Access and laugh like a madman... Not so many posts about it now...
  9. I believe its got more to do with if its the same size as everyone, when 3-4 people are beating on it with lightsabers, its going to be very hard to see whats going on. Every MMO has done it with human based boss NPC's.
  10. I think I'm just going to let this argument lie. We're both made our points and its going to go nowhere fast from here. Enjoy manipulating the market. Just do me a favor and remember this thread they day you get run over by it and come to post on these forums.
  11. I enjoyed that fight, both bosses, and I throughly enjoyed the respect given to the lore and the character and difficulty of the fight. Sorry you don't feel the same way.
  12. This is a person who's got a good point, well thought out (although a bit presumptive on a few things, like a misnamed mob meaning they never tested it EVER.) and admits that its still early days and is willing to give some leeway. Give this man the internets, he has earned them.
  13. Hence why the game went on to resounding sucess... People need to face the fact that grind is enevitable, and secretly, it's what people what. MMO's general principle are a near endless ladder that people climb until they stop, and they can see who is above and below them, and lord/envy them appropriatley.
  14. Maybe not, but how is it different to any other MMO? Still waiting....
  15. You clearly don't understand endgame. Care to explain endgame of any other MMO you've played thats any different to grinds with different names? I'll wait here...
  16. Then you'd look foolish when they fix it 3 days later.
  17. I think you misunderstand. Its not because the food is awful. Its because I'd be entitled to a refund.
  18. Man this is great. Next time I get takeaway, I'm going to sit down and eat it, wait 10 mins, then puke all over the table, and demand a refund. Utopian society at last...
  19. I've lived with a half a second delay on all my skills for 8 years. It comes with being from Australia. I also don't whine about trivial things. That must be a Australia thing too I guess...
