  1. Please - this has been an issue since the game launched....multiple down times a week, simple patching taking hour after hour after hour.....its never going to change. The Dev's don't even pretend they care anymore - because they don't.
  2. Why is everything so painfully difficult for Bioware? I love this game, but this company is bordering on incompetent. Its not as if character transfers are some amazing, cutting edge technology that Bioware had to develop from the ground up.
  3. -Originating server: The Jekk Jekk Tarr -Destination Server: Dalborra -Name of Characters: Ezekial; Kaleb -Specific Issues: In both Google Chrome & IE9 The form is greyed out, none of my characters are displayed and I cannot click on any buttons.
  4. This latest patch pretty much broke everything to do with 1.2 I'm sure it will get fixed.....in time.....or when Bioware figure out what they did wrong.
  5. The latest patch broke heaps of stuff, one of them Black Hole.....until they fix it ..... you are, well stuck
  6. The latest patch broke much....including this zone....
  7. lol - Corellia dailies are broken too....you can no longer access that area, well done Bioware!
  8. Its just that BW don't know how to write patch notes. It all comes back to their appalling understanding of customer relations.
  9. In future could you please amend the title of the thread with something like "Updated" rather than doing a stealth edit, thanks
  10. They pushed the patch time back.....great communication hey?
  11. Dear Bioware, at the very least, could you communicate to your customers that you have changed your server downtimes rather than just stealth editing the original post. I understand you need to patch patches, but some of us organise in game events like FP, HM etc etc and it would be nice of you to make sure we all know when you are pulling the servers down......rather than changing your mind from hour to hour and not highlighting the changes. Thankyou.
  12. LOL - oh yes, check out the weekly patch notes, they are full of bugs fixes.......
  13. I "whine" a bit when there is excessive maintenance, mainly because it is during my prime time (plus I honestly believe that in this day and age it is taking BW far too long to patch). However, this is a pleasing step in the right direction, so props where props are due and I hope that maintenance gets more streamlined in the future.
  14. LOL I'm just waiting for the obligatory BW post where they state they only take the servers down when absolutely necessary and they are aware of people's concerns and are always thinking about how downtime affects players....and blah blah blah......When they post patch notes like this, how can they honestly expect to be taken seriously?
  15. Everyone who pays a subscription fee is perfectly entitled to express their displeasure at the service provided by BW. They are running this game as though it were 2002. 2+ hours for maintenance (or tiny hotfixes) is unacceptable in this day and age. There are some game companies that can push out major patches with only 2 hours downtime....with hotfixes often taking less than 30 minutes, if any downtime is needed at all. Bioware are just coming across as....well.....unprofessional and amateur.
  16. You are incorrect. Other companies patch their servers all around the world at different times to reduce down time in a zone's peak playing time. There is no reason why Bioware are globalizing their maintenance times other than to be able to state they run a global service. It is poor customer service on their behalf and the excuse they use is pitiful. Whilst it is wonderful for BW to give us localised servers, I would expect localised service as part of the package. To date no one has stated an argument for the current maintenance schedule that makes compelling sense for why they do it this way.
  17. Correct, they don't have to pull down all the servers at the same time.....Bioware just seem to think that its cool to state they provide a world wide service that runs all at the same time. Weird. Personally you would think it would be better customer service to not pull servers down during prime time....they'd win more fans that way. Meanwhile, brace yourself for this thread to be flooded with the usual "sorry I'm alive" crowd that seem to think we must accept everything every company does without question, and just be greatful we can give them our money.
  18. You cannot do so yet, and not until late April because apparently it is too complicated for Bioware to currently do.....
  19. Ugh. I am getting a little bit sick and tired of Bioware's response to almost every issue being "the game is really complicated and its really difficult...." End game is riddled with bugs - "The game is really complicated...." They cannot transfer characters in a timely manner - "The game is really complicated...." Now I am just waiting for them to release a video with Bioware employees patting themselves on the back about their amazing Asia Pacific launch, and how smooth it went, and how the servers filled up quickly.
  20. Yes please - would love to know the reason why or the reasoning behind this decision.
  21. I rest my case Meanwhile, I really do hope that BW reassess this decision as all it does is hurt the Oceanic server populations.
  22. Sigh, I knew this thread would end up being inundated with intelligent comments that completely miss the point of the thread.
  23. Yes, it is pretty appalling to push transfers back until late April. I wonder why they are doing this - are they still trying to figure out how transfers work? lol
  24. I suspect they are trying to minimise the bad press. The game is riddled with bugs, and even though they are currently pulling the game down twice a week for extended periods of time, the bugs are not being fixed.....or at the very best, being fixed at glacial pace. I'm beginning to think that this game was too ambitious for Bioware.
