  1. Are you really saying that dps classes weren't useful before? I guess you were pugging vs pre-mades.
  2. My healing numbers are the same as they always were. The problem? It is all self-healing. I can barely spare any heals for the team. Now you see the problem with basing balance changes on end of war zone stats/metrics??
  3. Sorry Marauders. Sorc here so let me tell you: Public perception has you as the best class right now. that means you will be nerfed into garbage next patch. It is how bioware rolls.
  4. Enjoy yourself? I find it hilarious how some of you bioware apologists are so offended by our complaints. I have let my wallet speak me for me. Can't wait for the next big thing
  5. 5+? Wow. Someone needs to learn how to use interrupts.
  6. They got their wish. Unsubbed and feel great!
  7. Another operative in the sorc forums to gloat. Stay classy bruh
  8. We figured out the "we" trick from the operatives in the healing nerf threads. try again
  9. Dont heal in pvp for 1.2 unless you like respawning over and over.
  10. I never really bought into the EA hate until now
  11. I really feel Bioware has made a mistake in how they have handled the the marketing of 1.2. Before details started to emerge and eventually led to full blown patch notes everyone with an active subscription was looking forward to the update while simultaneously enjoying progressing their characters. What changed? Let's see: 1.) Bioware tacks on HUGE nerfs and fundamental class changes into the 1.2 content patch- Sorc and Merc healers in particular can now no longer continue to develop their play skills on live because the play style has been completely redone! Besides, who finds it fun to play a class with a huge impending nerf hanging over its head? The sorc healers in my guild are quite demoralized and many havent been logging in since the notes came out. I respecced to madness so I could continue developing skills with a build... 2.) Bioware implements a welfare pvp gearing system in 1.2 which not only gives away gear that folks on live have spent hundreds of hours collecting but makes continuing to advance in pvp gearing on live a waste of time. Why not just wait until 1.2 where they will be 4-5x easier to collect? (And yea i know pvp is fun but hey so is pve. Can you imagine how the pve community would react if they let fresh 50s get full Rakata in a week?) 3.) Bioware allows Georg Zoeller to address the community in troll-like fashion- Any subscription based game is about "hope." If people feel like they are being nerfed into the ground or that the game is changing for the worst the last thing they want to feel is dismissed. Coming out and dismissing customer complaints with vague references to internal tests sounds like something a corrupt government would do. Not a gaming company as beloved as Bioware. TLDR? Bioware has managed to turn much of the excitement that was surrounding patch 1.2 into dread and has divided the community into "pro nerf" and "anti-nerf."
  12. I just hope all the mouthbreathing QQers are happy now. You win, say goodbye to sorc healers in pvp.
  13. Anyone else just not find it enjoyable to play a "dead class walkin"? I will miss healing my guildies and teammates in pvp but I just cant bear the thought of impending doom. Heres to 10v10 dps just like all the QQers always wanted!
  14. First off, I am a sorc healer. Just wanted to get that out of the way lol As a dps player in Rift I was shocked to see healers weathering the full barrage of focus fire from multiple dps characters and must admit that I initially cried foul. It seemed absurd to me that it took the coordinated effort of perfect interrupts and cc from multiple equally geared toons to take down one person. What I came to realize though is that a healer being focused by even one skilled dps character with interrupts is essentially "locked down" and can only keep himself alive. The root of the problem is not that healer survivabilty in this game or previous MMOs is OP. Its really not. The problem is that healer survivability impacts the fun-factor for dps because of the frustration of not being able to take a target down. This causes QQ and with inexperienced companies like Bioware and Trion leads to nerfs... What many dps fail to realize or put in earplugs to ignore is that if a healer can be bursted down by one dps character or can't heal through multipe dps on a sturdy target then there is no value in having a healer in a game vs any coordinated team. If you can't heal through a dps' damage then you are better off just being a dps and killing the target before they kill you. TLDR: Healers were nerfed because DPS believe they should be able to burst them down solo.
  15. Isnt it amazing how no one named Sorc? The class getting the biggest nerf.
  16. Dude, you are the only strawman here. No one is mentioning WoW but you. Quit your political debate tactics and debate the issue at hand. Your opponents have brought up logic and numbers. You have brought up unsolicited WoW rhetoric. You should be embarrassed.
  17. Being a healer is a pretty big sacrifice which is why most games allow a healer to cancel out multiple dps. In this game there is no way to outheal burst damage classes...Kinda makes you wonder why you shouldnt just respec dps...
  18. I play an operative and a sorcerer and i have to say sorc is better at heals even unspecced at level 25... The bubble makes it possible to save people..not to mention not having to rely on melee abilities for defending yourself...
  19. Umm...Rift's pvp was a lot more legit and competetive than swtor. Just sayin.. Also, the clearing of all your hotbars is a myth but whatever... SWTOR fans will continue to argue for LESS features until this game fails. Once everyone is done with the story quests all this game will have is the crappy UI and limited features that the community has argued for. I give up on this community. Mods, close this thread please.
  20. Another bottom bar would be nice but it wouldnt solve the problem imo. Besides, what is the real value added of not allowing macros. I think a lot of folks are under the mistaken impression that macros let you sequence your entire rotations when it actually only lets you sequence abilities with cooldowns. You still have to manage your builders, finishers, debuffs, etc on your own. Macros just allow you to put your builders on one key, finishers on one key, and identical CC abilities on one key.
