  1. "Novalized force corruption" stems from how humans generally become drunk with power over time. This concept is in A LOT of stories.
  2. I enjoy it when fanboys have their entire world crumble before them. Do it for the lulz Lucas! The tears will be full of anguish you'll make Sidious look like a chump.
  3. Star Wars is. However, I find the politics, story, universe and characters richer in Mass Effect over Star Wars. Once we see what the Reapers are capable of in ME3 we will have a better idea of how ridiculously powerful they are and can somewhat gauge them against others.
  4. Its the size of a moon so I wouldn't go that far. Since they are a galactic civilization I was thinking of them as main bases sort of like aircraft carriers are used today to operate campaigns from. I personally would of made my planet destroyer weapon smaller and more stealthy so it can get in blow crap up and get out without being detected instead of an object the size of a moon.
  5. Superman hands down. He is one of those BS characters especially if you read more into him and how he kind of turns into a god. Hell, in the movies he manages to move the moon and go around the Earth so fast he turned back time! Superman is known to hold back considerably even when fighting enemies that could destroy him. There are many white stars(like our sun) out there so yeah his strength would vary depending on which system hes in but still then he retains that power for a considerable amount of time even when being away.
  6. lol... I thought Lucas Arts has the IP for Star Wars? Doesn't George own that company? So doesn't that mean he does indeed own Star Stars? People have a weird thought process.
  7. I've seen real cops unload 15 rounds at a person 2 feet in front of them along with the other guys shooting all his rounds missing the guy. So yes. I am going to tell you Greedo is that bad of a shot for 1 it is realistic for even a train individual to miss 3 feet in front of him(especially if hes holding the weapon with 1 hand) and that according to the god of Star Wars(Lucas) said he fired first and obviously missed.
  8. The problem is that the stories were written before the movies in books. So Boba Fett's fate was already set in stone.
  9. Not if you jerk the trigger. If you knew anything about guns you know this is very easy to do even at point blank range and after seeing how well the imperial military shoots its highly plausible some random merc is equally as terrible at handling a firearm.
  10. Yes. The overall story is far more better than 4th through 6th. Palpatine is definitely the most entertaining character in the series. Its so funny how everything he did went according to his plan. He single handedly took over the Galaxy and defeated the greatest threat to him, the Jedi order. People are so easy to sway though and since the seeds of how they "prequels suck" are set people will continue to perceive to suck. Yeah, the depth of the characters might be hard to understand thus appear to be dull and boring but there is A LOT going on I feel the movies didn't really give the story justice. The real difference is the prequels focused on the overall impact and a much larger cast of characters over how 4 through 6 focused on a small group of characters. However, I'm a sucker for special effects so while I also do agree the story is better I also enjoy epic lightsaber battles and cool explosions instantly making the prequels better despite how ****** the characters might be! At least the kick *** in style!
  11. I'm going to side with Lucas for 2 reasons. 1. Its his story and he can write it the way he wants to. 2. I'm being a hipster therefore I hate all the fanboys that want it their way!
  12. If this is one of those 40+ missions(I dont remember all their names and I easily farm them all) you'll want the L5 upgrades and that 1 special piece that allows you to divert powers to your lasers at the cost of your shields recharging. With those you should be able to blast anything to oblivion and liberally use your missiles. The hardest mission has to be the last minefield mission. That one can get really tedious and requires some decent timing of using the special that allows you to avoid all incoming damage for 10 seconds so you don't get blown up.
  13. From the videos and screens shots I've seen Tera is visually better looking and has high res textures available. Am I reading this right? You have 32gb of ram? Man I would so totally like to lay out 50k+ TNT in minecraft and see how well your computer handles it.
  14. Which game runs smoother? Tera or SWTOR? What are the system requirements for the game in the first place? Edit: I looked them up. Tera The recommended system requirements: • OS: Windows XP, VISTA or 7 (Latest Service Pack) • CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ or Intel Core2 Duo E6750 2.66G • RAM: 2 GB or greater • GPU: AMD Radeon HD 3870 or Geforce 8800GT • HDD: 30 GB of hard drive space • DirectX: DirectX 9.0c • Optical Drive: DVD-ROM Drive • Internet Connection SWTOR OS: Windows 7 64bit SP1 CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Processor 2.4GHz or better AMD Phenom 2 X4 Quad-core 2.5GHz or better RAM: 4GB RAM or higher Video: ATI/AMD Radeon HD 4850 or better NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 or better 512MB minimum video RAM Shader 3.0 or better fully compatible graphics card Latest drivers for your video card DVD-ROM Drive: 8x speed or faster Disk Space Required: 30 GB Tera needs a better processor and SWTOR requires a better gfx card.
  15. The only real consular skimpy outfit is the slavegirl set from Nar Shaddaa. Yeah that is nice but its a bit too skimpy for a fighter. Hell there are barely any pants options for the consular. I say this cause my Kira looks like a fricken nun at the moment. I can't even turn off that horrific hat shes got on. Once I get a circlet I won't take it off her until I find an orange one for her to wear. Just about every consular helmet looks stupid.
  16. They will probably program it to first pick from your server and look outwards as the que takes longer. Or at least that is what WoW's LFD tool does. You know these games do have playable male characters as well. You don't have to play as a half naked lolita. I know one of the races looks like a giant monster creature. There are also many other male alternatives of the various races.
  17. Sounds like a crappy system. You want something like the LFD tool from WoW. There are 3 roles(1 tank 1 heal 3 dps slots) and you can que for whichever one depending on your class. So if you que as a tank you'll get in as a tank. Since dual spec does exist you can also que for multiple roles such as dps and heals. So it is an easy automated system that lands you the right comp all the time. The system also makes sure to split the classes up unless you are in the que for too long. Then it will start making exceptions so you get into a group instead of waiting forever. In other words if you are a paladin you are more unlikely to see another paladin in your group. I believe the system also takes into consideration the type of armor you wear. For example if you are a melee plate dps class you are far unlikely to be grouped with another melee plate dps and will instead be running to cloth, leather, or mail armored characters. The tank will obviously be an exception since 3 of the 4 tank classes wear plate. Yeah, sometimes(but it is EXTREMELY RARE and I mean EXTREMELY RARE, I've seen more world epic drops while soloing in WoW then this) you'll get some guy going into the group as a dps only specced character in the tank or heal group slot. No worries since this guy usually gets removed after getting *****ed at for thinking he can get into a group quicker by picking a role he cannot fill.
  18. 1. It doesn't feel like there are many players while questing. 2. Yes. I especially like it when I run a bunch of solo quests with multiple people. Its fun to see what other people choose to progress the conversation. 3. They assist in giving some information on otherwise difficult to find out subjects such as rare items and getting datacrons. I do my best to not relate forum discussion with actual gaming. 4. The story lived up to it. The actual mechanics of quests are subpar and generic "kill x or collect x" type quests. They could do better to improve this by adding more events where mobs spawn and initiate the assault over us taking out time rehealing and jumping into the fray on our own pace.
  19. This game is hard as hell without a companion and even then you can still get your *** kicked in a lot of situations especially as you level. My sentinel is having a hell of a time handling 4 weak mobs or 2 strong mobs. Nearly died to 1 elite mob. Used a medpac and all my cds too. I really feel I should only need to use all my cooldowns if I pull more then 1 group or elite not vs random 1 elite.
  20. I use it every time and no it does not work like you say it does. I see usually 1 other person looking for something through that failed system and they are looking for something else. I even check within my level range and 99/100 times no one is there. I have managed to land a person or 2 through the system but that happens next to never. 99% of my groups are formed through finding people through general chat. Even when I look for people for heroic areas and use the tool I usually never get a response from someone looking through the /who feature.
  21. Top damage and killing people are less of a priority than completing objectives in Warzones. Ilum is designed so you just kill people.
  22. DBZ characters are in the BS character category right under the god characters from the Marvel and DC universes. Not even if you had the best Sith/Jedi team up would they be able to defeat any DBZ character outside of maybe anyone in the Raditz arc. Even then they were moving "faster than the speed of light" but after that they essentially can just shoot nukes effortlessly.
  23. lol... That just reminded me of the uncanny resemblance between the Catholic pope and Palpatine and that whole issue with catholic priests and little boys. Its like George knew all along.
  24. Yeah... no. You assume que times won't change because the pool of players in it won't change. The reality is yes ques my not improve but there is a greater chance they will because a LFD will allow players to que from anywhere and continue to do what they have been doing instead of sitting on their *** in the fleet with their complete attention on the fleet. This will allow you to perceive things are going quicker since your attention is focused on something else and more people will begin queing up anyways enlarging the pool of players you can play with which can greatly increase the chances of getting into a group. This mainly applies to leveling characters. Max level still needs A LOT of attention. You can consume all that stuff within a week and pretty much be bored on the fleet with nothing better to do. That problem obviously cannot be solved by a LFD tool and max level content needs to be overhauled and expanded with more things to do. Just adding gambling tables or special events would be probably a great bandaid for that ever growing issue but the LFD tool helps everyone just not the small 50 community.
  25. It still lasted longer then Aion for me. I hit L22 and was like "where are all the quests?". Well the quests were all repeatable and required me to go travel some distance and kill x number of mobs over and over. Not going to happen! Ha. You are talking about the little animal girls. They remind me of female gnomes with no chest and animal ears and tails. People that tend to get offended by something tend to be well, the biggest culprits in "enjoying" that aspect. Like evangelical republicans being closet gays and catholic priests having a field day with chore boys. What is up with that?
