  1. I know I'm a bit late to the party on this one but I feel that Thana would make an outstanding Companion and to be honest I was way disappointed that I did not get the option to add her to my crew. I just finished the series involving Thana for the 1st time ever (stopped playing Tor almost 2 years ago and just came back) and I liked the interaction between my Character and Thana and I was just waiting for the option to add her to my list of companions that never came! I let her live in hope that I may someday get the chance to add her has a companion. I know that I've only been back playing TOR for about 5 days now but I can honestly say that I'd be willing to pay for a Thana Companion if it were possible
  2. I know that the space missions are suposed to get a bit harder has the players level up but I mean come on! I can take out every turret on all the ships that come in before the shuttel enters the canyon. I can get the shuttel into the canyon with little to no damge at all but when I come out of that canyon the shuttels health is always down to like 30%. The new fully armed ship that comes into view briefly has we exit the canyon is not on screen long enough for me to take out enough of its turrets. That last ship fires on the shutle for about 5-8 seconds before it comes into view again and because of the path that I have no choice but to travel I can not hit any of the top or left side turrets. At lower levels this mission is not all that much troubel; however, at level 33 it's becoming a real pain for me to deal with. That last ship needs to be on the screen longer so we can deal with its weapons and if we can't see the ship then its damage should not count till it can be seen and we have a fair chance to deal with it. On a side note: Will space ever be expanded on? I really enjoy TOR but the space combat and space mission system is greatly lacking. I got burned out on Star Fox on my 64 and I'm getting burned out on it in TOR as well. Call me spoiled but I'd like to have just has much control in space has I do on the ground. I'd also like to be able to team with others in space missions has well. Other than my problems with the space system I think that TOR is off to a great start. Thanks for your time
  3. This ^^ would work quite nicely. It would give everyone a the same odds to get an item.
  4. This argument is has old has the MMO industry itself. If you want something roll for it, if you don’t want it then don’t roll. I’ve only been playing TOR a little while and I’ve already seen my share of players that need on everything regardless of what the item is or what class they play. IMO the best solution to the need greed or pass that I ever heard was to limit the amount of times a player could use the need option while in a group to 3 uses. After a player has used up there 3 times that they could use the need option then it would be greyed out and then they could only choose greed or pass. This type system would put a stop to most of the loot snipers out there because they will not want to waste there needs on stuff that they can’t use or can’t sell for big profit. This type system would also help players that really need to item by reducing the amount of players that would be using their need rolls on said item. A system like this would force the players to police themselves and there would be a lot less “you stole my drop threads” I’d never need on an item with the intent of selling that item (unless the item is worth a small fortune) If I need an item for my main or my alts or a companion, I’m going to choose need on it unless it’s a bind on pickup item that cannot be used by my character and companions at that time.
  5. I like TOR and I feel that it’s getting off to a great start! That being said: My opinion about TOR is just that an opinion. Good or bad the forum users have a right to say what they want. If we don’t like the message we don’t have to listen to them and vice versa.
  6. Hello All, My Sith Marauder left Korriban at level 13 and I was instructed to proceed to Dromund Kaas. I finished my business on Dromund Kaas at level 18 and was then sent to Nar Shaddaa. I completed my missions on Nar Shaddaa and at level 25and I was then told by my NPC master to go to Balmorra. Now looking back on this it seemed quite wrong for me to go to Nar Shaddaa at level 18, my level was a bit low for that planet at the time but I got buy. Then at level 25 after I finished up my missions on Nar Shaddaa I was told to go to Balmorra, a planet who’s NPC were now almost 10 full levels below me. Balmorra was boring; however, it turned out to be the most profitable planet that I’ve been on so far. I made a small fortune just dealing with the mobs on Balmorra not to mention all the upgradable drops that I was able to score there. (Sold the ones that I could not use for huge creds) When I was complaining about how weak the NPC were on Balmorra other players chimed in and said that’s what I get for skipping ahead but I did not skip ahead, I went where I was told to go. Is there a bug or a glitch that sent me to Nar Shaddaa before going to Balmorra?
  7. Not to change the subject but I have a security key and I was wondering what happends if you loose or break the device? How would you go about getting access to your TOR account then?
  8. Thanks for all the great advice guys. It looks like I’ll need underworld trading instead of slicing. I really want to wield Dual Blaster Pistols so it looks like I’ll be going Mercenary. I know virtually nothing about the differences between to two Bounty Hunter Professions. I think cybertech is still the ideal crafting skill for me to take because of all the enhancements it can turn out and not to mention you can sell the speeder mounts that you craft (I think) Thanks again for all the great advice.
  9. I had this problem to leveling my Sith warrior. I did not skip anything. My story line progression 1st sent me to Dromund Kaas (I was level 13) then to Nar Shadda (I was level 18, got my butt kicked a lot) and then I was told to go to Balmorra (I was level 25) I figured it must have been some kind of bug when I saw how weak the NPC were on Balmorra till I checked the level of the planet. I just kept going where my NPC master was sending me after I finished up with Balmorra I was net sent to a orbing Space station do deal with people that were tracking me and at level 26 they were kicking my backside for a little bit. It had to have been some kind of bug because sending me to Nar Shadda at level 18 was like sending me on a suicide run but somehow I got through it.
  10. Hell All, I want to roll a Bounty Hunter for my next Character and I want to get off to a better start than what I did with my Sith Warrior. I plan on going with the following crafting and gathering Skills: Cybertech Slicing (I thought this was a crafting skill) Scavenging Can Bounty Hunters wield to Blaster type weapons? Are a Bounty Hunters primary stats Aim and Cunning? What type of Companion should a Bounty Hunter be looking for? I was thinking that getting a Tank type companion would be a good fit; however, focus fire and a lot of DPS can wipe out most mobs with ease. Knowing what I know About TOR now will help me greatly in building my Bounty Hunter. (I Hope) I heard that Bio removed the ability that let players take the shuttle to their Fleets has early has level 1, what level do we need to be to use the shuttle now? I really want to start leveling my gathering and crafting skills ASAP. Thanks for your time.
  11. It’s strange I’ve yet to notice any game breaking bugs so far and I’ve got my only Character to level 25. I’ve only played 2 MMOs STO and TOR but it seems the communities have many similarities. 1st no matter how good the product many be people will find something to complain about. 2nd People seem to believe that all problems can be fixed in an hour and if there not they rage about it. 3rd PVPers seem to think that the game is their world and all others just dwell it in. 4th That any and all exploits will be found and abused by players and that these same players will head to the forums and rage post about the exploits that they use. I’ve only been playing TOR for about 12 days but so far I’ve had quite the pleasant experience. It takes time to get things done and bugs will always pop up and yes they can be quite annoying but they can take forever to fix. Just give the game some time but if you’re really not happy with the way things are going then move on to something else and come back when you think things are running better.
  12. That I could have used the shuttle to go to the Fleet to get crew skills has early has level 1 That I should have been Reverse Engineering all the low level items that I was NPCing That I should only be looking for Upgradeable equipment That running the Space missions is a great way to earn some quick EXP and Credits That trying to sell green and blue quality items on the GE is pretty much a waste of time That it is much more cost effective to use commendations to buy upgrades for existing upgradable equipment That if you truly need the item it’s ok to need on it To make sure that I watch my health and to heal after every battle My 1st and only character is currently level 25. I’ve only got about 45k in credits. I’ve yet to RE any items. I still have to buy my license and my mount. I’m way below what my Crafting and gathering skill levels should be. “You got to live and learn”
  13. This is so true. It's such a pain to have to travel back to the Fleet just to check prices or list some of your good drops. It would be nice if we could access the GTN from the hanger bays that store our ships. Maybe every planet should have a GTN kiosk located in the rest area.
  14. Thanks for the information guys.
