There are two vendors on opposite ends of the area, one for Deluxe, and one for CE customers. Edit: The Deluxe vendor in the VIP launge sells a wristband giving access to the CE vendor. I think I saw the crystal vendor on the common people's floor sell the wristband for the VIP launge.

It is totally not worth it. The additional items, you gain access to, are pretty meh. And you can gain access to the Deluxe and CE vendors buy buying ingame tags for 1000000cr each, I think.

Crafting in SWG was really nice and involved. Successfull creating tailored animals for riding, combat and as pets was an art. (Who did not enjoy sneaking up on a rancor or krayt dragon of the purest breed to borrow a single drop of blood ...) I had people come to me, dish out huge amounts credits and not complain if it took 3 weeks to brew up the animal exactly to their specification. For perfect results, you needed perfect buffs, perfect tools, perfect clothes, perfect machines, perfect resources. Gathering all of these did cost a premium too, and you had to know who could supply you with them. Then we took a CU and a NGE to the knee. The crafting in Vanguard is done nicely too, along with the class and social systems. Crafting while being tired or distracted and killing yourself in the process is priceless!

Actually all currently playable toons are humans with different, minor cosmetical differences. Even inter-species intercourse if happily possible.

If they use the same curve for surge as for the other stats, it is a boost until about 400 surge, and a considerable boost with less surge. Those flashes don't happen at the same time, every 1.5 seconds on the border of the screen. those usually happen in the center of the screen, right where most people are looking at. They don't cause the brain to tell the eyes to look left, right and bottom at the very same moment every 1.5 seconds.
