  1. OP's conjecture is invalid. The dailies are boring to me. They would be boring whether I played 1 hour a week or 50. Running flashpoints in HM that I already did 10 times in normal is boring. PVP against the same people every night for 2 months due to lack of cross-server is boring. Ilum PVP is boring when you're one of 10 people on the entire planet and I can't find any Republic to fight. Doesn't matter how much you play, none of the end-game content is really that interesting. If level 1-49 content was as repetitive and broken as level 50, I would have quit after 2 days.
  2. To me, this is not acceptable. I'm trying to decide whether to keep my subscription. When is "soon"? And when is cross-server PVP coming? PS this was not intended as a go at you Azzras, just my frustration at the lack of specifics from Bioware at this moment.
  3. I feel like it's getting to be too late. If Bioware were to come out with a series of patches that fix several issues, then I would stay... if it were released this month. But it won't. By the time they fix my issues, it will be months and I'll be gone. Most people don't feel like coming back to a game they left 6 months ago. How many people will stay 4 months+ and wait for cross server PVP? How many people will stay 4 months+ and wait for basic bug fixes? How many people will stay 4 months+ and wait for LFG? How many people will stay 4 months+ and wait for server merges on half dead servers? How many people will stay 4 months+ and wait for character transfers? How many people will stay 4 months+ and wait for some fix that makes Ilum PVP viable? Point is, these problems needed to be fixed (at the very latest) in the beta. They are features to which people have become accustomed years ago, they don't want to wait for months to get stuff that should have been included on release. They certainly don't have patience for content that doesn't function as intended at a basic level. I don't think this game will make anywhere near what EA expected, nor near what it would have made with competent decision-makers at the helm of this project.
  4. I'm not sure they are trying hard enough. Look at the server merge thread. This has been an issue for over a month. Where is the action? Okay you can point out how hard it can be to merge servers, which is valid. But how long do you think people on dead servers will renew their subscription? I haven't even heard a peep on this. There doesn't seem to be any definitive statements of action on multiple issues. For the first time, I think this game will fade badly. Launching without so many features that people expect (player transfers, cross server PVP, LFG finder), and the lack of quick response to bugs and low pop servers will be the death of it. EA should launch an investigation into how the funds for this incredibly expensive game were wasted.
  5. GW2 looks to be a really good game. So is Mass Effect 3. Don't really understand what the point of the thread is.
  6. Guess we'll see in the coming months whether its shortcomings affect its subscriber numbers. After experiencing the game, I cannot see how Bioware will keep them. There are just too many things wrong with end game to keep the game exciting after reaching 50.
  7. Same here, you're not alone. It's taking them too long to get up to speed with other MMO. How many subs have they lost for stuff that should have been implemented at launch? It's shocking really. If I were an EA investor funding this, I'd take a hard look at what happened during those years in development.
  8. I have 4 people on my ignore list in 2 months of playing. Not going to be a problem. Whatever time I spend dealing with that pales in comparison to literally 30 minutes or more wasted every session finding a group. Or worse, spending 30 minutes and not finding a group.
  9. Most of this stuff can happen without that tool. I've had people take loot that was better than mine, for my class, for their companions. I've waited and given up on runs due to lack of tank/healer. This isn't stuff that can't be QQ'd about already.
  10. It's a lame experience. Just keep in mind that some people have done it 20 times already and just need the social points. It's mostly their fault for not communicating with you ahead of time that it's a quick run. From now on just ask before you go into an instance. Just understand that if someone is looking for that one piece of gear and needs to run it 5 times to finally get it, spacebaring can cut literally hours off that time.
  11. I agree, it's like debating a religious authority who chooses to impose their choice on you rather than giving everyone their own choice. I'm cool with you doing your thing on Sunday, just let me watch football. Oh, I HAVE to go to church? Football is being banned? Okay, not cool. Awesome. Glad it's working for you. Doesn't work for me on my server, though, so like I said, go ahead and give me my LFG tool while you use yours. Difference is, I don't want to wait 20-25 minutes. I don't have the time and don't care to do it. Everyone's happy if we both get what we want. Great.
  12. People aren't going to use it because at best, and assuming everyone uses it, it's an extremely inefficient system. You have to cycle through lists to find the instance you want, then whisper them, then run to wherever you're gathering. Oh, you're dps and not healer? You should have mentioned that in your hastily written LFG comment. Back to the lists. Oh so-and-so is stuck way the hell out on Hoth and he's got no teleport? Okay let's kill 10 minutes. With a real LFG tool, you queue just like PVP and just focus on what you want to do until the players are found. It's so, so superior that there is no point in having the cumbersome outdated one even if people actually used it. It's used in PVP because it's so efficient, imagine everyone spamming general chat for PVP group while whiners complain at the loss of community with a tool that "instantly teleports you to a warzone." If you don't want a WoW-style LFG tool, then great. Use the one you've got while I get the choice to use a WoW-style one. Then you look for groups on an outdated tool while I get my runs in.
  13. Yes the 4 people who do. Okay, now let's see... anyone running BT HM? Nope okay. What about Boarding Party HM? Nope. D7? Nope. Because there are only a few people using it. Oh look the people who ARE running those are spamming general chat. And if we only had a cross-server LFG tool, I wouldn't have to camp on the fleet and spam, I could go to various worlds and do stuff I want to do. Why do I have to camp on the fleet and spam? Oh that's right, people don't use the ancient LFG "tool" we have already. So I say, let's get one that works, and let's get it cross-server so if only 3 people on my server want to run BT HM I can actually get the run in. Everyone knows the ******* key commands to get in LFG, that's not even funny or insightful.
  14. I WILL TYPE IN CAPS BECAUSE YOUR BRAIN IS NOT PROCESSING THIS FACT: DOING THAT WILL NOT HELP YOU FIND A GROUP BECAUSE 2/140 ON THE IMPERIAL FLEET ACTUALLY USE THE LFG SYSTEM. I USED IT IN THE PAST AND QUIT BECAUSE IT DIDN'T HELP ME FIND GROUPS. I STOPPED USING IT ON NAR SHADDA BECAUSE IT DIDN'T WORK ON BALMORRA OR DROMUND KAAS, AND IT SURE AS HELL DOESN'T WORK ON THE FLEET. PEOPLE AREN'T USING IT BECAUSE AT ITS HEART IT'S NO DIFFERENT THAN SPAMMING GENERAL CHAT, THEREFORE GET US A SYSTEM THAT WILL BE USED THANK YOU. They made the game just like WoW: repetitive stuff at end-game. Yet we didn't get the tools to shorten the most tedious aspects of endgame like LFG tool for dailies. Those functions help us get through the worst aspects of end-game (dailies) to focus on the stuff we enjoy (PVP) We don't have that LFG tool right now and people want to get through it as fast as possible. THE LFG TOOL DOESN'T DETERMINE HOW FAST WE WANT TO RUSH IT, IT'S DETERMINED BY THE FACT THAT WE'VE RUN BLACK TALON 5023 TIMES AND ARE BORED WITH IT BUT NEED THE CRYSTALS. Hopefully that worked
  15. Yeah if you screw with the little search function and type in a different world for something that nobody is using. Again, nobody wants to go through that much effort to assemble a group for a daily you've already done 20 times. That's different when you're still leveling to 50, the mystery is still there and assembling a group could lead to the unexpected. When you're running Black Talon for the 50th time there is no desire to assemble a group. I just want to get it done, the only reason I'm doing it is because 1) It's a daily and helps me get geared 2) the drops help me get geared. It's not a new area of the game where the mystery keeps me in my seat.
