  1. I personally will DPS some in FP's when people look good, and not a lot of damage is going out. While saying that, I do not dps at all in Operations as a healer. (the 1 exception to that is the 2 adds at the very beginning of Operator 9 to take them down faster before the blue channel begins).
  2. The LFG tool's time depends on what your doing (low level FP's) Versus 50 or 55 FP's, but for 50+ Tanks/healers get them to pop quickly, while DPS may have to sit there for awhile. Sometimes (depending on the time of day your on), it can take 40+ minutes for a DPS to get put into a HM FP.
  3. I can. for many of us, we have characters on both factions, and have already seen the side quests story lines. We just want to try a new class or Advanced class. Double XP helps these players who would never roll another toon, or would do it slowly due to the fact leveling now is tedious. Many players just want to make characters at this stage for end game content, and this helps us level up a character fast, so we can do what we enjoy.
  4. I can't believe this is even being suggested OP. changing the way guard works in PvP is one thing, but to suggest to remove it from the game is insane. I heal during PvP (have done so since 1.2), but to fully remove guard from the game would seriously screw PvE players. A better route is make guard function slightly differently in WZ's.
  5. My suggestion for Accuracy is craft or purchase the Initiative Enhancement 28's. you can get a lot of power, and 66 accuracy from each enhancement to get to 100% accuracy once you hit 53.
  6. Your comment is partially right. If he bought a piece of Part/conq gear he could rip out all the armoring/mod/enhancements put them into an Orange piece and it would be the same as PvP gear. However I wouldn't just buy the PvP mods/enhancements alone to do this, because as you said he'd get no Expertise from his armoring mod, and no bolster due to the fact that piece has Expertise on it.
  7. Force-Master's. The Mystic is the healing set.
  8. I agree getting rid of premade's isn't the answer. I for 1 like grouping with guildies for WZ's (makes them far more fun). The problem I see is that everyone has the right to make premades, just because someone decides not to shouldn't be the reason for BW to ban everyone else from doing so. How would BW determine someones PvP skill level if they were to divide it up that way? It is almost impossible for them to figure out skill level, you can't base it on gear seeing everyone can get Conq gear just by running enough wz's regardless of that players skill level. The only way I can figure is to have Moderator's watching each WZ, and seeing how each player does, and recording that information. (this is unrealistic to be honest).
  9. depending on your crafting skill, some recipes should drop from Operations still, tho I've never seen them in SM TFB/SM SaV.
  10. Armormech doesn't allow for any Str/Willpower armor to be crafted or Re'd. That gear is made through Synthweaving. all Cunning/Aim armors are made through Armormech. Thermal Regulators are from the crew skill Slicing. From the Rich/bountiful Tech missions.
  11. It's from beating KP Nightmare in under 2 hours.
  12. in the crew skill area, near the crafting material vendor.
  13. The legacy perk for Critical Crafting, does not affect Crew missions such as slicing. It only increases the critical chance for getting any Augment on a crafted item, or if an item your crafting doesn't allow for an Augment, to make multiple of that same item. Because of this you do not gain the +3% critical chance from it, so you in reality have +7%, not +10%
  14. Simple reason. put in stuff like to many kills weekly for WZ's and people will just go for kills, instead of bothering to go for caps, defending doors. (It's not needed anyway). There are so many ways to get easy credits in this game. Why do you feel you need it? simple answer is your to lazy to put in 1 day of chore dailies per week (easily getting 450k+) and go play the rest of the week.
  15. I hate to tell you this, but from what I can tell, most PvE players HATE the dailies as well, so suck it up and do it like everyone else. This coming from someone who does both PvP and PvE, on multiple characters, so filling out multiple PvE/PvP sets for Aug kits/augments They are boring (yes), tedious, and does feel like a chore.but they are a necessary evil.
  16. Well seeing you can still get Verpine gear which is still 72 modded from not even entering an Operation (granted it will take a long time if not doing Ops), It actually gives those that do them something. Do you really need the set bonus if your not raiding? The correct answer is no, so stop whining, and let those that want the Harder endgame content actually have to work and go get it, instead of handing everything out to people once you hit 55 from HM FP's.
  17. First off, let me say this. For 2.0 you do want some Alac (you get a 2% buff in your skill tree as a sage or sorc), but you'll never need to get rid of crit/power for Alac. Alacrity/surge are the 2 things that are the interchangeable stats on Emnhancements.. Personally I wouldn't go with a lot of Alacrity tho either. Even with the 2% buff, I'd stay around 6% Alac, and have the rest of your gear with Surge. Keep your critical % around 25-30% (your preference) I go more towards 25% myself, and stack the living crap out of power from that point on. Directly to your questions 1) Yes it will speed up Ticks of healing 2) no it is not Possible to sacrifice Willpower/crit/power for Alacrity. (never Augment for Alac) it's not needed. 3) I don't see it as a Sacrifice for the 2% Alacrity buff in the skill tree. The skills I didn't take in the tree (and I only have 36 points in my healing tree), are more for PvP, and are unnecessary as a PvE Operation healer. PvP specs may differ of course.
  18. From a sorc healer perspective, I don't put much into crit, but I read somewhere you should have 10% crit/power ratio (1300 Power/130 crit for example). Atm I have 161 crit rating, which gives me 26% crit. I have Alacrity at 6.54% activation speed, and 69% crit multiplier. (I do have a few 63's stuff on, so that crit multiplier will go up higher). 6% alac speed gives DI a 2.3 sec cast, and 8.5 regen (higher alac doesn't affect regen as much for sorcs from what I can see). Due to the pathetic amount of Crit bonus from Willpower, I'd suggest actually Augmenting for Power instead to increase your bonus healing. I did a test and removed 2 pieces of gear (no crit rating on them), lost 294 Willpower and my crit only dropped .7%, so based on that, stacking willpower Augs really seemed like a waste for me anyway, + you get more bonus healing from power anyway.
  19. Honestly for SM TFB dreadguard gear is plenty if you have your secondary stats set up right. My guild did a full tfb sm run with only 1 of our tanks in more then 63 gear. But we were Optimized in that 63 gear from before 2.0
  20. So those of us who have no interest in Ranked WZ's should now be forced to queu solo, instead of grouping with a friend or 2? if Having premades in normal wz's ruins people's enjoyment of the game for you, I'd say the Opposite. Not having the ability to group with someone I enjoy playing with ruins my enjoyment of the game. Go join a guild, Friend people that you've PvP'ed with and liked, and get together for PvP matches. No player is ever forced to queu solo.
  21. To be honest, to ban Premades in normal wz's would be a bad choice for BW. Why should those who like to group up with 2 or 3 friends not be able to join a wz togther? just because someone decides to queu solo, doesn't mean that nobody should be able to group with guildies/friends for a wz. I do think cross server queu's would be a great idea.
  22. A problem I can see for those wanting to use comms from multiple toons for the mains is that you can put the mods into legacy gear and ship them, but won't be able to put them into non legacy gear to use. This means the only way to do what you want is to have your main using Legacy gear as the shells for every piece.
  23. lol I played it true, but it didn't take long for me to hate WoW. it was only a filler from shadowbane to this.
  24. you realize that the 2.1 was put there on April fools day right? it's a joke.
  25. well for those of us with a lot of characters, we don't want to go through every single thing. The double XP weekends allowed me to level 2 characters (missed 1 weekend) to 50, that I never would have made or leveled without them. They are awesome for people who have been playing for awhile and have many toons and seen it all multiple times.
