EDIT: This post was originally another thread titled "Clowns, clowns everywhere!". I predict this will happen at the starting zones of each character class because the character creator is so dark that colors are almost impossible to choose. Having to log out to delete and remake your character after seeing them in a "real" lighting situation is not fun at all. Why is it so hard to make a character creator with neutral lighting? Is having the character creator look c00l more important than the players' enjoyment?

I haven't reached this content yet, but I really hope they continue it in a sensical way. My BH had a "well, crap" moment back on Hoth when the GenoHaradan told her they were too late in contacting her before she joined the Great Hunt. She's really tired of being given jobs by petty Sith lunatics. What I'm not sure about is how Mandalore feels about the saboteur choice. And Torian, since in his bio it says that his dad was considered a traitor because he defected to the Republic. From what I understand from playing the story, he was made a traitor because he went against Mandalore's decisions.

I am so glad that the people working on the game will be relaxed, recharged, and ready to dig in and work on the thing they love when they come back after the holidays. <-- This is not sarcasm! Pushing the date really is the best thing and I am still very much looking forward to the expansion. (And happily playing in the mean time as well.)

I haven't been following this at all since I am not a console gamer, but this does sound related. I do wish them the best, and if a port is in the cards, I'm happy that we'll get more players!

Unpopular opinion: I want ALL companions to be fully customizable. Those players putting Arcann in a slave dancer outfit says more about them than me. It's also a great sign to quickly see who to avoid.

I kind of hope not. There are many reasons why someone's combat style would be different from the original class ones, and since a Jedi can choose Sith powers at creation, they don't even have to be disciples of the Dark Side. My Jedi use Sith powers because, similar to some other characters we know, they were not born Jedi, as they are Kalligs. It wasn't a conscious choice for them.

Thank you for asking this, as I'm also in the same situation. I have the legacy unlocks, and my Jedi characters are both Dark I. They're at level 75 thanks to the exp boost events, but they're still in Chapter 1 of their storylines. I'd really love to be able to get 2 Dark Side combat styles for each of them.

I absolutely agree. I mean, why would you even have a community manager if you're going to pull this crap?

Screw Discord. One shouldn't have to install a third party program just to get updates on a game one pays for.

D/L V unlocked? Can't change. Past chapter 3? Can't change. Yeah, I don't know why they even said that Force users could change their primary slot to their mirror because most existing characters won't be able to if this is the case.

From what people are saying that was posted in the sooper seecrit Discord channel by a dev, you do not have the ability to change your Force user's initial combat style unless you haven't unlocked Dark/Light V already.

Thank you, this is a sound strategy and I will also adopt it. This may make up for the credits that I've spent in legacy unlocks and dyes on characters that I have to delete and reroll now.

So basically they are forcing old players to reroll. This deal's getting worse all the time. You know, I wouldn't have such a problem with rerolling if 1) I could still get some of the mounts that my old characters use, and 2) names weren't so hard to get.

I am very confused. In my case, I have a few Force users who I leveled to 75 by doing repeatable missions so I could save their storylines for later. I have had Light V and Dark V unlocked in my legacy for about eight years. Will I be able to change them to their mirrors or not?

Yes, but I don't think it's the conspiracy you make it out to be. I think they were probably trying really hard to figure out the problem and wanted to make sure that they couldn't fix it before announcing it.

JackieKo, thank you so much for this addendum. I know there are a lot of folks like me who just want to change our Force users to their mirror style. EDIT: Oh dear, she didn't exactly say what those requirements were, did she? I sure hope it's still just the Legacy unlocks.

Casual players make up the largest player segment. MMO developers ignore this at their peril. There are also many elder and disabled folks who play this game for the story. That is why many of us are worried for the game because of the 7.0 gear changes. There are many ways for you to make the game more difficult for yourself by taking off armor, etc. You just choose not to do it and want everyone else to play the game like you, which is a selfishness that I hope you grow out of.

This would be nice, but I think there are many other QoL things that are more important, such as fixing a lot of the armor pieces. Non-bald helments and rocket packs that actually work with Reload & Recharge would be nice. (This is why my BH only wears the capital city legacy gear -- it actually works!)

My headcanon is that even my tech users have latent Force sensitivity, which manifests as skill or luck. I do play the Kallig Legacy.

I completely agree with you, but there should be some halfway point our characters can inhabit between being the most powerful person in the universe and a rank and file soldier.
