  1. Server merges are their acknowledgement that all those people who left are NEVER coming back. It is a last desperate attempt to retain what players are left as subs.
  2. Not playing SWTOR. Playing ESO instead with some WoW on the side. SWTOR sub not being renewed after daily fix putting it back to 75 instead of the idea they mentioned of some substantially higher number.
  3. Yep, i came back for it and now that ii is terminated I am gone again when sub runs out later this month.
  4. Working as intended is no excuse. Working as intended caused a massive exodus from the game. When working as intended does that, it is high time to change what you intend to do because what you are doing is NOT working in the overall scheme of things.
  5. With them nerfing daily cxp back down to a pathetic 75, I will not be going there anymore and they will turn back into ghost town areas. You would think they would have gotten a clue with how the bug increased activity, but no. Back to pushing the same old broken idea that has killed populations off. Even with the legacy perk maxed the cxp will be a pathetic joke. Done with this, no reason to sub, runs out later this month. Not enough new solo content to interest me and what there is, like Iokath, is badly done. Trying to use CXP to push everybody into pvp did not work with me, pushing me out of the game instead. Used to pvp in various MMOs but I just do not enjoy it at all.
  6. Around 27K and see nothing I would have any interest in buying with them.
  7. I am dealing with it, I am not renewing my sub and will play something else until there is something here I enjoy. I am not going to log in just to do something I am bored with (namely endlessly replaying tired old solo story content). And I am not going to pay for a game I am not logging into. There are lots of other games out there and they are where the vast majority of SWTOR players already went including the 400 odd players who used to be in the guild I was in before it completely imploded and dissolved as they all left to go raid in WoW. The fact that BW no longer has the resources to provide content for all play styles at the same time is NOT my problem, is is BW's and EA's. There are other MMOs that are adequately resourced to provide content for all play styles at the same time. You need to deal with that instead of making excuses for the fact that this game has been mismanaged for years.
  8. As a solo story player I see nothing for me in all this and thus no reason to continue my sub.
  9. Half expecting a quick copy-paste of the announcement from the Age of Conan earlier this year where Funcom said it was going to maintenance mode and would get no further development at all.
  10. Well, working in an organization where backstabbing, advancement via assassination and betrayal and generally leaving one's coworkers to die when things go wrong is not conducive to a lengthy lifespan.
  11. A question for all those loudly advocating merges. What will you say if the people on the merged servers lose guild ships and/or other things and just quit altogether? And what will you say if a good portion of the people still playing on those servers who have not moved on their own do not magically show up in your queues but instead continuing playing solo the way they are happy doing now and the merge does nothing for your queue times? I play on JC and am quite happy to continue there. If JC gets merged, I will not suddenly start showing up in any type of queue. Getting merged is not going to change my play style. Merges are not the cure-all people think they are. They did merges in LOTRO, it did not bring people back. I doubt it will here either. My formerly well populated friends list and the large raiding guild I was in are all empty and gone, none of them left over queue times, they left due to slow content releases of varying types, some due to pvp, some due to group content and some due to story content and the last over GC and CXP nonsense. And they are not coming back, they have moved on. Spending money solving all the problems of a server merge just takes away from resources that could go to content, without fresh content of all kinds in sufficient quantities to hold interest and subs, server merges are a mirage that will solve nothing. Releasing an OP one boss at a time over a year+ shows just how thin their resources are at this point.
  12. Right now there is no reason to pursue the gear from the crates unless you are heavy into pvp or higher difficulty levels of OPs (old OPS you already beat at 65 and 60) and pvp is only booming because of the people who feel compelled to jump on the gear grind treadmill and see pvp giving the best cxp payout. If there is no reason to get the gear and the only real content to run is the new story, why even bother grinding out crates? And you don't need the gear you might, remotely, possibly get from crates to finish the new story. Why run years old content to grind cxp if the gear means nothing, assuming you get it at all?
  13. Getting crates with nothing of value in them at a faster rate is pointless. Perhaps if they had made Galactic Command levels mean something like the levels gained beyond max do in STO or ESO, they system might be engaging. Crates of junk just do not cut it. 2 weeks left on sub and I see no point in even logging in at this point.
  14. I am with you, I don't hate it. I simply find the whole exercise utterly pointless. A lame idea to try and get people to sub in order to run tired, old content over and over again or spam pvp to make queue times look better. It is just an utter waste of time, no story advancement, nothing except crates filled with useless junk.
  15. This is so true. Has been the same with set bonuses in WoW every tier, a few are great or even OP, some are OK and some are weak or even next to useless. It all depends on class and build. Same here, some are a big benefit, others not so much. They never seem to be balanced across classes and builds
