  1. What this class really needs is more survivability CDs as we currently almost have none. Lets look at few other classes first and compare what CDs they get and what PowerTech/Vanguards get. Lets start with Sith Assassins/Shadows. Assassins/Shadows get Immunity to Force/Tech abilities for 3-5seconds! ( 5 if Speced ) They also get Deflection, which is a 25% damage reduction and 50% chance to deflect all melee and ranged abilities for 12 seconds, further more having Vanish and sprint to escape combat with ease. Jauggernauts/Jedi Knights. Jaugs/Knights get Deflection as well which is a 25% damage reduction and 50% chance to deflect all melee and ranged abilities for 12 seconds, and as well as Invincible: a 40% damage reduction skill if Speced which lasts for 10 seconds. To escape combat Jaugs/Knights can Forcepush or simply use Intimidating Roar, an AoE CC for 6 seconds to fear the surrounding Mobs/Players and escape combat. Marauders/Sentinels. Yes not an exact tanking class but rather pointing out the ridiculous abilities granted to a Dps class Rather than a Tank class in SWTOR. Marauders/Sentinels skills, Cloak of Pain/Rebuke an ability which is often used at the start of any match/fight, a 20% damage reduction lasting up to 30 seconds! the skill wears of if you don't get hit for 6 seconds... this ability also refreshes it self if you are dotted or hit by any damaging ability, In other words you have 20% damage reduction for 30 seconds. Deflection 25% damage reduction and 50% chance to deflect all melee and ranged abilities ( Poor Snipers ). Force Camouflage/Vanish exiting combat and become 100% immune to damage if Speced. Undying Rage/Guarded 99% damage reduction for 5 seconds! Obfuscate Lowering Accuracy by 90%! for 6 seconds, rendering melee and ranged abilities useless for that long against the class, again I must say ( Poor Snipers). Lastly Intimidating Roar a 6 second AoE CC, blinding or fearing the opponent/mob. Finally PowerTechs/Vanguards Defensive CDs. I would definitely put an Oscar winning drumming sound for this one but unfortunately it's the forums and I can't add sound to it, regardless here we go! BHs/Vanguard Defensive CDs: 25% damage reduction for 12 seconds. Oil Slick: Lower accuracy of your enemy by 20%.... I think I like the 90% version better. Lets not even compare a 2.5sec AoE CC to a 6 Second AoE of Jaugs/Knights/Sents/Marauders either plz, because that is a bad joke. I would like to hear your thoughts and opinions on this matter both in regards to PvP and PvE.
  2. I think we have plenty of interrupts, if you don't believe me watch my video blew as a Tank Hybird with low Dps CCing and killing healers. What we do really need is more survivability CDs like Marauder/sentinels that come with 4 incredible survivability abilities: 99% damage reduction for 5 seconds, Vanish for 4 seconds and 100% damage reduction ( if Speced ), Reubuke: 20% damage reduction lasting for 30 seconds! you need to be hit every 6 seconds for the skill to refresh automatically, which is nothing to worry about considering dots can refresh that ability and finally, Deflection 25% damage reduction + 50% chance do deflect all range and melee for about 12-15 seconds if I'm not mistaken. We could also point out that Jaugs/Knights get Deflection as well which is 25% damage reduction and 50% chance to deflect and as well as 40% damage reduction skill if Speced, also AoE CC for 6 seconds to escape combat. Assassins/Shadows get Immunity to Force/Tech for 3-5seconds! and also get Deflection 25% damage reduction and 50% deflection further more having Vanish and sprint to escape combat. Lets see what BHs/Troopers get for Defensive CDs 25% damage reduction for 12 seconds. Your Thoughts on this and thank you.
  3. I had pointed out the spelling error in my video description on YouTube. I created a duplicate as well without an error on day one, but thx for being a "" about it!
  4. I agree completely, It be nice having larger WZs, maybe 16 Vs 16 or even larger WZs in this game with more space offered to play within that zone. Currently the 3 WZs and the new WZ still feel very compact and small in size. It also be nice introducing a few Traps in this new zone as currently I saw none. It will be nice to see random bombardments by NPC Turrets In Novare Coast, this will create a third party effect to the game so it doesn't feel that it's just Republic Vs Imperials, creating a third element of danger in place to look out for. Further supporting this idea, these random bombardments could leave a big red circle in the area that they're about to land on, giving players a few second window of moving out of that area before the bombs land. This will also give all players a technical advantage to use their CCs, pulls and pushes effectively and strategically to defeat their opponents, instead of just brute force or numbers.
  5. Good burst, though I didn't see many people getting on you or locking you down and one big reason was due to your team dominating the zone. Your class is somewhat similar to a Sorc/Sage class, troopers and BH can easily get locked down and die if you get a good Dps-interrupter on you, so being your class I would keep a long range between myself and my target. Then again you guys are a lot more susceptible to charges than a Sniper class which is the down side of your class. Lastly you guys don't have an OH #$@ Button, like Marauders which have like 4 amazing defensive cool downs, or like Jaugs or Sith Assassins. The one Defensive cool down you guys get is not even half as good as the Jaugs or Assassins Deflection CD. Almost forgot to complain, IT WAS TOO BRIGHT! turn your brightness settings down a bit.
  6. I agree with what you say, though the problem that some servers are having including the one I am on is that there are not enough Republic players on the opposing side. Unless BW is planing very soon to be merging some servers if not introducing CSW to compensate for the low numbers of republic players, as already noticed there is and will be a lot of unfairness and horrible matchmaking in WZs with often Imp faction dominating 75% of the time if not more.
  7. Marauders/Sentinels soon will be the new flavor of the month, and the most OP if used properly by anyone who has even a little bit of experience in PvP.
  8. Here is the best trick, shown in this video on how to win a Huttball game, guaranteed Pass forward 3min into the video and enjoy.
  9. Figured I try here to see how everyone thinks of my Bounty Hunter PvP video that I made two days ago. Btw if you are going to watch it try 1080p HD setting and try it with full screen, looks much better.

  14. You're right sir, this game will turn into Credit Wars soon with patch 1.2. With the right amount of credit you can practically buy everything now.

To wow just because of the arena system. I absolutely agree with that, this game "Needs" a competitive PvP system. WZs or Rated WZs wont be competitive enough for any Hardcore PvPer. By now I'm sure the results and statistics have shown how popular the PvP is compared to PvE in this game, and the number of PvPers in this game is going very very strong. not just in this game but most MMOs out there. Arena bring another level to this game and it teaches people how to have better and faster reaction time, coordination, teamwork, also learn how to CC and interrupt properly. Unlike most WZs were you see 4 people trying to kill one person which is being healed by a Merc 2 feet away, yet none of the simple jacks think twice, that maybe, MAYBE it be a good idea if they throw a CC on that healer or go and interrupt her heals instead of continuing a failed attempt to Zerg another player down while being healed. I don't like to compare games here but I must say that I've played WoW for 5 years, and hands down I would have quit that game after 2 years if it weren't for the very fun Arena system that they had implemented in that game, which literally attracted Millions of PvPers to that game and kept them as long-term subscribers. Grouping with 8 players random or pro players on your server is no more than a Zerg fest, and not much of a real competition. Though I do respect the idea of this company taking Ideas from other successful games and implementing it into their game, yes rated WZs with 8 players an exact duplicate of ( Rated BGs) what wow introduced around the WOTLK expansion nearly 2 years ago, but this won't stick for too long for most of those PvPers out there looking for a challenge. How many Instanced Rated WZs will people do before they become bored? with no good World PvP and reward and no Arenas, I don't see most serious PvPers sticking around. There is no real world PvP in this game, because of fears of losing subscribers I mean Carebears who join ("PVP") servers instead of PVE, get camped a few times, go on the forums and cry or decide to quit. This is the first game that I have seen with a very evasive and bad World PvP design. It needs improvement and less instance zones and more faction interactions by putting quests of both factions or gathering materials in the same zones, and rewarding World PvP decently with accommodations. Illum would have made it as a great PvP zone A) Had there been decent rewards for World PvP and no not talking about rewarding big groups and Zerging others or having 2 Ops going at it for easy rewards, rather very small groups or 1 on 1s should be rewarded much better than a group, because it requires more skill. B) Add Material gathering Nods and Quests into the PvP area to draw conflicts and reason to PvP rather than separate zones like we have seen from lvl 15-49 and instance a lot of the content. ( again this is a PvP server talk not PvE), so people on PvE won't ever have to worry about this conflicts. C) Create better Objectives, rather than toss 5 giant robots in the center of Illum which even with futuristic technology still can't shoot each other at point blank. Maybe have them do random Aoes around the zone that Does damage, so it gives it a live and real PvP environment feel. D) A wasteland covered in snow isn't the most fun and creative place to go and PvP in. I Rarely waste my time making points to others because most so called average minds or inexperienced people don't want to sit down and figure out by themselves that 2+2 is 4 not 3-5 or 14 nor are they willing to ask for help or go out there and take someone else's ideas or suggestions, because psychologically we all like to think we're in full control and understand. I've had and seen many good PvPers on my server quit, both from Republic and Imperial, I didn't like to see that from the opposing faction because, they put out a very good competition and skill, nor did I like to see skilled people from my faction side leave either. To further clear things this game needs way more than a simple Rated WZs to keep its PvP fans. A) A proper World/Planet PvP design and "system" and B) Arenas, these are two big topics which should not be overlooked and worked on immediately to keep the majority of the real PvP fans from migrating away. We care about our monthly subscribers and don't want to lose their generous donations!, Very soon we will remove Illum completely too! not that any PvP is going on anymore in there, just to ensure 100% of our PVE fan based player don't QQ or quit the game, especially the ones who roll on PvP servers and QQ about getting ganked twice or that they can't 1 on 1. So please bare with us as we continue to edit and delete the PvP environment and create an environment that is future friendly to both Sith and Jedi. As we predict in the future patches, both factions don't need to directly fight each other anymore in this MMO hence there is work underway to create a Mini game within this game so that people on PvP servers can indirectly fight each other through this wonderful and mystical unicorn and pony blessed PvP system. We also have plans of turning SWTCBC completely into a Instanced zone which can be purchased by your friendly spaceship vendor for the right amount of credits and enough legacy points! you won't ever have to worry about venturing into dangerous lands anymore or having any chances of running into wild beast or possibly a SITH! player!.

    Arena Is Needed

Here it is Bioware: at MINIMUM give players the option to fight each other in a square untextured room in a 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4, up through 8v8 for FUN with no rewards. AT MINIMUM this should happen, and at LEAST players WILL have fun mixing it up doing that. That requires literally negative amounts of work, and would make pvp in this game so much more fun and alive. That might delay their Burrito&Chilly lunch, and they need that to get inflated ideas for PvE/PvP.
  18. Agreed, WZs are very small in size and maybe make bigger WZs that support more players 16 per side? just an idea.

    Arena Is Needed

To be honest, what most MMO companies need these days beside their amazing game designers, programmers, coordinators and directors is, a solid and experienced staff made up of group of hardcore gamers who played many MMOs in the past, and currently play this game full time with different classes both PvE and PvP. Then sit down with these gamers and view and discuss flaws, issues and proper designs for this game rather than have a Joe who knows who, who was promoted to senior X designer just for being able to do a good graphic job to sit down and build a self proclaimed very inflated genius idea for a new PvP/PvE system after having a heavy Burritos and chilly lunch or sometimes no idea at all. Lets wait another few months, 345 Buritos later. Dick: It has been 3 months guys, anyone have a better idea for PvP or PvE? what should we do? Joe: Whats for lunch, I'm hungry! anyone for Burritos? Akhmed: I'm down for a Double Down Bacanator.

  23. Since I had the time to type this story line, I will break it down for him and those who don't realize what to do if they see a Sniper. Snipe shouldn't be interruptible because of the nature of the class being stationary and being weak as it is. Let me put it this way, I quit my Sniper at lvl 50 long ago when i noticed how easily other classes and in particular a jaug destroyed me 4x in a row with the same gear as me, and being a hardcore PvPer as much as I tried within my ability, using years of PvP experience to my advantage my class was simply useless and weak. Simply said the class is a total fail at 1 on 1 PvP and needs a complete makeover. Snipers only shines in situations where your group is "dominating" and has control of the surrounding. Only and only then you can sit in your little cover and try to shoot at anything that A) doesn't run behind and LoS the second you shoot at him/her and B) Doesn't turn around and $%# on your face. You have to take into account that most of the Sniper class dps is "Weapon/Ranged" and some kinetic VS 80% of other classes in this game that have total Hybird Dps, meaning they come with a ton of force/tech and kinetic damage or Dot. ( Force/tech or DoT damage can't be negated like weapon or kinetic can ). Snipers suffer due to not having much tech damage, so going up against heavy armor equipped classes their total damage drops drastically, especially if they got any Dodge/Deflect, Shield and Absorb on. I don't mean any offense to you or anyone, but from personal experience you can't justify a class being unbalanced because you fought against 4 of them in a WZ or you failed to grasp the mechanics of how to defeat them. The Sniper class is a very weak and flawed class to this day and further will be in 1.2. Exp: Sniper Vs Sorc, all the Sorc has to do is Dot you, and LoS till u die in fact any class with a single Dot can cheese you out. They can even go head to head and if their low on health LoS and by the time the sniper tries to run all the way behind the wall sit down and start channeling the Sorc/operative/mercenary is back to full health or even use LoS as means of luring you into their claws. If you come across a Jaug or god forbid a Sentinel/Marauder with 50X damage reduction abilities and insane burst, you will literally do no damage to them, and they will literally burn you in within 10 seconds. I'm not talking about your average Joe running in WZs without a clue trying to get his/her dailies done, I'm talking about putting Two very experienced players head to head. One with a Sniper class and another with any other class. One on One the Sniper will "W I L L" "((( LOSE )))" least 80% of the matches VS all the other classes in this game. There are a lot of mechanics in this game to use to destroy a stationary turret. Maybe if you're having trouble and can't charge a sniper in cover try stunning/Force choking him out of it, Forcepush and then charge him. Your class has enough utility to easily destroy Sniper classes. Try Saberward, to negate 50% of his attacks and cut the damage if any get past by 25% not to mention you are using heavy armor and you negate around 35-40% of their regular and "special" abilities damage passively, yes FT is weapon damage along with SOS, Snipe, TD, Ambush and Orb is kinetic so GG. I'm pretty sure by the time your Saber wears off the guy is long gone if you are experienced with your level 50. Worst case scenario if none of this makes sense I can make you a video, recording few of the best Snipers on my server vs other classes within the same skill level. I don't play the class anymore but I believe they do deserve more tech abilities and more survivability. Btw here is a link to my recent PvP video on my BH, go to 2:14 and see how easily I destroyed the sniper 1on1 two times in a row. In fact i would have done it a 3rd time if it wasn't for a 2 on 1 situation, also to further support this conversation, the top Sniper on my server died three times in a row VS my Dps Powertech and we did the duel his way, no line of sight.
  24. Random spec really, built for survival, CC and quick burst.
