  1. This is one of the most ridiculous arguments ever. You already need to do hours worth of tedious datacron gathering to stay "competetive"(optimal stats ARE important). So the implementation of another option to get these stat boosts and be competitive would harm you...how? I don't understand your line of reasoning, unless you think that you'll be forced to buy the perk because your guild will call you broke if they catch you manually gathering datacrons? Are you just upset because you've grinded out the datacrons on all your alts and feel that everyone should have to do it this way? I can't find any meat in any of your statements. Everyone that says this is a bad idea just posts their (biased) opinions on the matter, insults people(I'm looking at Majik the troll), or says it's a terrible idea and moves on. No one is providing LOGIC on why this shouldn't happen. And bytheway, EAware is apparently working on making this happen. Which is what should happen when 9/10 players want something and the other 1/10 come up with poor excuses for reasons why they shouldn't get it.
  2. No one arguing against this will bother with the fact that this doesn't affect them in the slightest. They will just come up with more asinine apples-to-oranges comparisons to support their "views". I have NEVER seen a LOGICAL argument against legacy datacrons, and I sincerely doubt I ever will. If anyone can enlighten me by providing solid(not your biased opinions) reasons why this would be a game-breaking perk(Don't try too hard, I really don't expect it), then I will be happy to switch my stance on the issue. 9/10 people want this feature. Those who don't want it don't have to use it. I fail to see the problem.
  3. /signed This has been brought up constantly since the legacy system came out, and the majority of players(those of us with alts) want this feature, because we're tired of spending our game time grinding out the same tedious datacrons just to have optimal characters. It can be an optional legacy perk so that all the nay-sayers will be able to farm datacrons on all of their characters...and enjoy it? But seriously, the only people who say 'no' to this feature are people who consider themselves special because they've farmed the crons on all of their alts. Give it up; this is old content and unless EAware can find a way to magically make it entertaining again, the majority of us don't feel that it should have to be repeated for every new character.
  4. Body tattoo? Sure, give us as many as the artists feel like designing. Just leave Talon out of it. She won't be existing for the next three and a half millenia.
  5. It's only something we've been asking for since Beta. I'm shocked that the dye system came out before what seems like a simple feature. I guess hood toggles are extremely complicated, like they hinted around launch time. Hopefully, after being in the works for so long, it will be mostly bug free.
  6. Is this confirmed? I know they gave us an "eventually" some time around a year ago, but I jut got back from a long break and I haven't seen anything official saying that it will be here soon.
  7. I totally support this. I have the mask and the gloves, but it is nigh-impossible to find that sash on Jung Ma. Nobody wants to waste CC opening Space Pirate packs as they don't drop rep items and everything in them is rather lack luster. Worst part is, I have no desire to wear the sash, pretty much ever. It wasn't even a part of Revan's KotOR attire and it looks quite silly IMO. So either make the mask a separate piece in the collection, or put the gloves/sash in a pack that people will actually open(one with rep items).
  8. Yes, please! I would prefer these in schematic form so Synthweaving will have something besides augments to sell. But whatever you do, definitely make sure the belts/bracers are included! Battlemaster Vindicator's is my favorite belt of all time and I was so disappointed when it was made obsolete because it can't be modded.
  9. Everything I want is hidden in gambling packs that require potentially hundreds of hard earned dollars to receive the ONE virtual item that I'm actually interested in.
  10. Props to Eric Musco for the apology and updated stance on the "Subscribers vs. The Cartel Market" issue. Even though it's his job, it has to be annoying to play the apologist for the errors of others. Normally, I'd say "Give this man a raise/bonus!", but that would have to be balanced out by adding more cool stuff to random packs.
  11. I'd like an answer to this as well, as should any subscriber who is concerned about this game's future. Because as it stands, the best(the opinion of the majority) cosmetic "features" are behind gates that require actual cash to unlock. Even things that can be bought on the GTN require some one to purchase(most likely from a random pack). As it stands, Revan's sash might as well not exist. I certainly don't feel like gambling for it, and if anyone else on Jung Ma does, they apparently aren't selling it. I think I saw it once on the GTN for 20mil, but I didn't take a screenshot so I might have just hallucinated. This makes it very very very very unlikely that anyone will be able to complete the Revan set without blowing a significant amount of real money, and this is just one example of "cash-locked" content.
  12. All very true, and compounded by the fact that there are less of our dollars going into actual content development. Seriously, I'll give up my stipend if we can get some competent devs actually working on the game and not the Cartel Market.
  13. IMO, Pay-to-Win only exists when you HAVE to drop real money to obtain the best quality of gear. If SWTOR ever comes to that, I'm out.
  14. That's not Pay-to-Win, especially since you can't buy BiS mods yet, save for augments. What you're describing is someone who has excess cash and wants to take a shortcut by basically purchasing in game money, which is something that has always occured in MMOs. If people like this couldn't buy CM items to sell on the GTN, they'd buy them from RMT farmers(which is actually cheaper, but not healthy for the game). At least this way, the money goes to EAware and it theoretically used for game development.
  15. /signed Especially for the Revan set. The mask is rare enough, but the gloves and sash are like Bigfoot... No one opens Space Pirate cartel packs anymore because they don't drop rep items and the pieces in them are garbage. So either stick Revan's gloves/sash in a new pack or make Collections work on a per item basis.
  16. I have mixed feelings about 2.1 The 600cc for Cathar is reasonable(as others have said, subscribers get this monthly), but I'm extremely disappointed that it isn't available as a legacy unlock and the only way to unlock it with credits is to wait for someone to GTN it. For major content like a new species, I would have expected it to either be included in the expansion or be obtainable in game somehow(through legacy unlock). We were told about Cathar being playable before they even announced FTP, so I never imagined until recently that we would HAVE to buy Cathar through the cash shop. My biggest complaint is that we finally got a dye system(there was quite a bit of hype), and 95% of the dyes I'd ever consider using are hidden in lottery packs. Yes, soon they'll be on the GTN for a reasonable price, but I'm starting to get disgusted with major content being locked to the cash shop, especially IN RANDOMIZED FORM. I've already bought the CE and Digital Deluxe, paid a sub for my account and my wife's for most of this game's lifespan, and purchased over $100 worth of Cartel Coins. I am not spending more money for more coins just to gamble on getting the color I want. If the dyes become available individually, then I'll buy the ones I want. I won't like it, but it's preferable to paying for a chance to get the dye I want. I'd much rather them become available through in game means, though. I thought artifice would become more profitable from this patch but they get stuck with the lamest dyes. In short, I'd like to see less emphasis on the CM, especially for major updates like a dye system and new species.
  17. Achievements are legacy-wide. Why would codex entries not be made legacy-wide? Your arguments against certain convenience features leads me to believe that you spent an unnatural amount of time getting crons or codex entries on all your alts because it made you feel special, and now you don't want that "special" feeling taken away. Who finds getting all the lore nodes on EVERY character fun? Why not just make them legacy-wide? The datacron argument is null once datacrons are available legacy-wide. If you don't think this stuff is going legacy-wide soon, you either don't know how MMOs work(old content becomes less tedious), or you are in denial. Either way, the majority of the playerbase wants this feature. This is not the first thread about it. Once BW has the time to code it, it's probably going in because it's CONVENIENT!
  18. Thank you for summing up my argument in three sentences. Maybe the halfwits rioting against this will actually comprehend your post.
  19. I overestimated your intelligence. No one is asking for hand outs. They are asking for a PAID legacy perk like all the other legacy perks that SAVE TIME. I don't care if it costs a million or ten million credits or 1000 Cartel Coins. No one is "too lazy" to play the game(what does that even mean? Do you consider playing a game "work"?) All the suggestions in this thread request that you must obtain the datacrons and buy a perk before they become legacy wide. NO CONTENT IS LOST. The need to repeat certain OLD content is lost. As MMOs age, launch content becomes progressively easier and quicker to access, so that people can spend more time enjoying the NEW CONTENT. Leveling has been sped up exponentially with the exp boosts and high stat items on low level characters, to use your own analogy. Why? TO SAVE TIME! But clearly that breaks the game for you, so stop playing if you want to spend the same amount of time on your alts that you did for your main. TL;DR - Datacrons are old. We got them already(some of us on a few characters). Now we want a perk(not a cheap one) to eliminate the need to repeat old, TEDIOUS(not difficult) content. There is new content to focus on.
  20. How would this feature break the game AT ALL? This would be less game-breaking than letting level 10's have +41 stat crystals, which has already happened. Also, lazy? Is that the best you could come up with? Should I remind you that nothing in his game requires more effort than minor finger and wrist movement? People are asking for a feature to save TIME! Just like priority transports, level 1 sprint, legacy vehicle training, rocket boost, field mail/repair droid, field respec, quick travel reductions, and transferring raid gear to alts through legacy equipment, this is a CONVENIENCE feature that is being requested to SAVE TIME! If you are not interested in such a feature and want to waste days of your life getting the same datacrons just to have another optimal character, you will still be free to do so. If not, THIS DOES NOT AFFECT YOU AT ALL.
  21. I'll just add my voice to this. If nothing else, subscribers should receive more cartel coins per month or receive a deeper discount on everything. What upsets me the most is that instead of giving ANY of the good dyes to Artifice or making them somehow available through in-game means, they stick them in a luck-based pack so you have to spend a ton of CC to have a chance at getting what you want. What should(or should have)happen: Cathar made playable for certain classes, so people have the option to unlock them through leveling or with credits just like the other species. New character creation options free for subscribers. Subscribers get one free species change for account. All CM dyes somehow obtainable through in game means. Take out the packs and sell the dyes individually on the CM, charging more or less based on the color. No one should have to spend more than 1500 CC on a color option that they want. Of course, EA wouldn't be making as much cash this way in the short term, but it would have done wonders to please the customer base, the majority of which are tired of being locked out of content(even if it is cosmetic) without buying X amount of CC and getting lucky, even though we already subscribe and pay monthly already.
  22. This is been asked for since Beta, and I fail to understand what could be so complicated about a hood toggle that it takes nearly two years to work in. Seriously, I never thought we'd get a dye system before a hood toggle... With all the new customization options, a hood/toggle button just seems missing.
  23. While this would be fun for a few of my characters, weapon types are the only way to determine someone's class without mousing over or turning on those stupid overhead icons. Let me emphasize that I really really don't want to have to enable class indicators to know what someone is at a glance.
  24. I'm sure <Smell My Finger> will argue that their fingers smell like cotton candy, Funyun's, or Disneyland. But we all know the truth... Personally, names and guild names bases on sexual innuendos don't offend me, but the majority of them are beyond stupid and definitely have no place on an RP server. Honestly I wish they would enforce real naming restrictions on RP servers but it's far too late and half/more of the population are running around with their stupid gamertags. The most reasonable thing to do at this point is to force renames for the offensive ones(like the OP suggests).
  25. I honestly think they should just make it a full size cargo hold capable of storing anything, especially if it's going to cost CC or a large amount of in game currency. You can already transfer bound item mods through Legacy gear; this will just make the process faster and less tedious. And also a one-time purchase as opposed to paying an extra time to rip the mods from legacy gear.
