  2. Haven't played yet No No Couldn't tell you, but probably yes
  3. I really like the game as a whole though I can't say much about flash points and such because screw human interaction; no seriously, imo a game that has a story should be able to hold up on single player alone, even if it's an mmo. If a game can hold up on single player then it can hold up in multiplayer (unless it's new super mario bros wii, why did they think colliding with other players was a good idea in a platformer)
  4. Either Crush 40, or "Dancing Mad" if I'm waiting on a group
  5. As an american, tea, and occasionally Pepsi
  6. Fans realize something that BioWare and EA do not, that a robust million-dollar MMO, while seemingly healthy, are in actuality as fragile as two bricks tied together with tissue paper. One mistake, one bad mis-step will cause the entire thing to shatter and fall apart; and The Old Republic would be ruined forever. Fortunately, there is hope. The Old Republic fan base has resolved to remain ever vigilant against something that could Ruin The Old Republic Forever, and call out a warning if they see something that could potentially do so. Some The Old Republic conservationists suggest a more extreme approach, that The Old Republic should abandon all attempts at self-invention and instead cater exclusively to the old-school players. Though attractive, this approach may prove impractical as a long-term solution. Ruined Forever remains a serious threat to The Old Republic now and in the foreseeable future, though it's possible a proposed initiative requiring all The Old Republic fans to purchase an annual subscription offset could ensure our fragile brand's existence through the mid-21st century. Things that have ruined The Old Republic forever in the past include: Being announced It's lore The classes The story Having trailers Being an MMO Hosting a beta The graphics Not having a release date Having a release date Releasing Not patching Patching George Lucas Making Money Pretty much everything As a result of this I propose that we borrow a system from the City of Heroes fan base. The DOOMCON warning system. The system operates on a scale of 5-1; with 5 being the divine sustenance of George Lucas before he made money, and 1 being RUINED FOREVER If anything happens that may ruin The Old Republic forever please seek out your nearest Alarm Station
  7. I personally am part of the school of thought that if a game has good multi-player then fine but the game has to be supported with strong single-player, and this game's story is actually quite good and sure there are a few bugs, but what game of this scale doesn't. So if you don't like the game then why stay. However on apple at least they smacked the other smartphones across the head and forced them to actually put better features in, because MS paint is only amusing for so long
  8. The content of the following post is not directed at the europeans/austrailians who have these during primetime. But to the rest of us two things: Why aren't you asleep? And which do you want fixed bugs or uptime? You've got to pick one "unt precisely vone" because we don't yet have the fantasy technology form space that allows live updates. In the most recent developer blog they mentioned that these shut downs are to fix those bugs that really are game breaking (war zone victories not registering, Ilum exploits, crashes, etc..) not your pet issues that don't really break anything (/roll, faction imbalance, dungeon finder, etc...)
  9. Sith Inquisitor commenting on his actions "consider it my good deed for the decade" Smuggler after first meeting the first one-night stand character "If he's going to suspect us anyways."
  10. Yes, While some bugs exist it hasn't broken the game for me, and I think this game gets a nice sense of flow going. Attack animations are fluid and flow well into each other, and the stories (SI, Smuggler as of now) are well written and immersive. While the game has issues with its multiplayer they don't really bother me because I'm of the school of thought that games should at least be able to support themselves on their single-player, which this does quite well. Only my opinion, and others will disagree, but i think this game is awesome.
  11. I agree on most of these points but I don't do war zones so I can't comment on them. I particularly agree though with #1 because it's my understanding that WOW's deformed mass of 14 classes is harder to balance than a unicycle on stills while one stilt is on a moving treadmill. Frankly my least favorite parts of the game are the chain load times and these forums.
  12. I for one am more perplexed by the forums we communicate through. You see I'm much more single-player focused gamer so usually when I buy a game I know it will stay the same every time I play it (untill the disc gets scratched). So the idea of shouting at the developers to change things about a game seems foreign and even a little backwards to me. Personally I've never seen nor been in a situation where screaming at the guy fixing the thing he made for you makes them fix it better. I realize many are upset that bio-ware isn't using the forums as they should, but perhaps it's also in part the fact that what feels like half of the threads are essentially parroting the same few complaints. These copy paste threads force down fresh threads, and frankly make these forums unpleasant to read and visit.
  13. I really like this idea but i'd at least like to have a 90% option because speeders would get a bit hard to control in narrow areas like dromund kaas
  14. Stallin? I thought you were dead! Seriously though the majority of player are from the U.S. and as you could tell from the government health care debates we react violently to the any idea that even resembles a compromise to freedom.
