  1. If a player on a low pop server transfers and no one is around to see it Do they make a sound?
  2. -_-* yes... tor HUUUUGE and so complex. FEATURES OVERLOAD AHHHHHHH too much to take in! HELP ME!!!
  3. Naahh man! They are just elsewhere...... chase the dragon!
  4. There is a hilarious post about swtor from an insider at http://trenchescomic.com/ Which is a Penny Arcade affiliate. But I can't tell you which one it is, forum Gestapo will get me.
  5. The server population is at an all time high, every time I log on massive que's and I only need wait a few minutes to be pugged into any raid I wish. If anything, there is not enough room to breathe with how many are logging in. (can I be reported for lying? I just wanted to fit in)
  6. I wouldn't call it flavor of hte month. More that they gave a few classes some amazing utilitiy moves that are game breaking in pvp environments The amount of games I lose because one team has more "pull, nockback, sprint etc" is amazing. Those are the abilities that make / break organised pvp. Then they mess up all the classes in an attempt to fix it.
  7. Ahhh so this is why they don't utilise feature they advertised I mean when they said they chose hero engine because of how it enables them to have no downtime patching / maint.
  8. This is a depressing thread.. Mainly because it is pretty accurate. Can I say that? I'm worried about speaking my mind now due to what seems to happen in the first pic of my sig.
  9. I see a lot of "story" talk in this. I was under the impression that the big guns from there story team had already moved on? Not saying that is bad or good, it is just what I heard. Also given how this product was released..... they must had a pretty huge pair of scissors when they "cut" features. I stand by my stance that when EA came aboard they didn't like what they saw and a massive overhaul occurred. Hence the product we got after what... 4-6 years of development and a bought game engine that was pretty much a drag and drop world creating tool? I have seen videos of guys designing huge maps using hero engine in 1 day. Granted they had the models / art already there to use. But considering how we have worlds of "YAY TUNNELS" I don't see 4-6 years worth of art creation for this world designing tool in this game. I see "rushed" So yeah only reason why it would be rushed is something went down when EA came to play and I'm not talking about them pushing the release date... Sorry if I offend, but I tend to think pretty logically. EDIT: They where working on it before they announced it, but even if you want to call it 4 years of solid word, thats cool.
  10. Hahaha I remember when they advertised live patching as part of the reason they chose Hero engine. What a joke
  11. due to the way the world is round(lol amazing fact) it is always going to be "someone" primetime. Question is, who gets to decide who judges such a thing. Well game is made by Americans so it is there call, and there priority is clear and somewhat expected.
  12. 16xQ AA 2x sparse grid P45445 I'm thinking if I can get my memory T2 stable I can squeeze off a few more points. Post your AlderaanMark 2012 scores, it is now the industry standard and will be used in future GTX680 reviews.
  13. Anal retentive to me, is a compliment because it denotes my attention to detail. However it also states that this is an annoyance to you, I feel warm you felt it important enough to let me know it was an annoyance to you. I am disappointed however at your lack of ability to launch a constructive counter argument. In fact stating my attention to detail only solidifies my stance. In your defence I acknowledge the trend to attack the player when unable to find footing regarding topic at hand and concurrent subjective discussion.
  14. It is frustrating to have it during your prime time. But then I remember how I only play this because better games aren't out yet. So maybe if you enjoy playing with crap and the crap goes away on holiday regularly. It isn't such a bad thing for you if you struggle to walk away from the crap yourself
  15. Sorry, but that is a hilariously subjective statement. The crew skill system is just "crafting" in this game. What other "crafting" do we have to compare against in order to determine that the crew skill system is incredibly popular. If you are trying to say that the crafting in this game is more popular then other games then what are the figures you are comparing with? I doubt you would even have such figures to compare with. Crafting exists, people craft. You can't make a ridiculous comparison without having anything to compare against in a controlled environment. It should say this Anything else is total bs hype. The PR / advertising team of this game is relentless! I don't mind the occasional advertising mind game of subtle manipulation, but when I notice them so blatantly obvious and consistent. It rubs me the wrong way. Apparently if you talk something up enough everyone starts to agree?
  16. 1. I feel extremely embarrassed for you, if you have trouble juking the games quickest spammable nuke heal(pre 1.2) then you have no place in pvp. Further more, because they have not specified a clear cut significant other option does not warrant the prevention of changes to this OP occurrence. 2. If you want to be technical, instant spells always have a 1.5 second GCD, cast and channeled spells have either a 1.5 second GCD or a GCD equal to their modified cast time, whichever is less. To be further technical the statement of focus "it is faster then a GCD", the GCD in question here is not specified. Thus due to both of you being vague he is correct and you provided poorly executed theorycraft as a reply. To use your rather slanderous words "Our playing field is far from similar."
  17. Your numbered replies, are a lot of words without saying anything. Though I admit it must take a fair amount of work to type that many words, avoiding agreeing with my simple points without actually typing that. Then finnaly after wasting all that space, you come to say why you typed a massive amount of bloat-text. Only to have the first thing you say be: I am sorry but I didn't major in cryptology. The rest is barely English and pointless. I want to debate with you but there is nothing to debate >< So again, let me say. In simple easily understood points. The current advantages of sage: --Best aoe out of all the classes. --Most powefull instant out of all classes. (bubble) --Largest nuke heal in game spammable at reduced cast. --Quickest heal for output (see above). --Resource that doesn't penalise for burning phases. --HPS limited by resource > HPS limited by resource regen viability rotation. --Applicable buffs applied to low amount of rotational GCD, thus maximum healing / buffing potential is only 3 GCD's including the Instant. 2 Instants and a short cast nuke = massive pvp advantage. --Reaches viable healing potential at lower levels. --pvp changing percs = pull / nockback / sprint / slow / stun / cc. Downside = cloth armor which is negligible and the lack of defensive CD. No force user is going run into the middle of the fray or put themselves into a position they can't escape. If a sage gets shut down fast, they will still out-heal the other types of healers even with reduced uptime. Likely less padding as well. All this creates a far bigger impact on turning the tide of pvp. So please. The points I have made are well accepted fact, made by many people. There is no need to reply 4-5 times with a massive wall of text, especially if you are not going to disprove any of the simple facts/provide interesting content. We don't need to hear if you think none of the above facts are unimportant to teamwork in pvp. This thread is about Sorc Healers - 1.2 and the changes it brings as per the tittle. If you are that bored, go read a book you could use it. Changes are made for attempted class balance, only an idiot would say "instead of balancing how about people try some teamwork!" Pro tip: When a class's main healing output is based around nuke healing and the client does not record "overheal" then yes, higher numbers does mean "better". You are trying to think too hard and it isn't working out for you. Further more the nuke style of healing(that lands) is far more effective for pvp then hots(weak hots), everyone knows this. If this wasn't the case smugglers etc would be in a very strong position, they aren't. In the end it is the HPS when it counts. EDIT: Wow I just read some of the other stuff you posted in your numbered replies. Just glancing over it I saw this . I am starting to think you are an expert troll, I don't know how you could claim to know much about pvp if you say stuff like this. You certainly haven't had much previous mmo pvp experience and it would be embarrassed if you have. I tried to read past that but it descended into gibberish, please only read and do not reply. It would not go well for you. Harsh I know, but it is for the best. Let's just move on. LOL, I ranted like a boss!
  18. wow you post so much on every page, if only the sheer amount of words compensated for the quality of your content. You must be here to learn because majority of what you say is rubbish. Lets break down your crap a little. 1. Learn to read, my sage doesn't even have the aoe heal let alone uses it. Yet what I said is correct, it is the best aoe ingame. But that aside, pre dropping an aoe down on a zone you know the entire group is going to take say a death from above around a capture point is very very wise. Especially when you are protecting a bomb disarming or such as that. 2. No one spams bubbles, instants are emergency use heals(usually due to cd or cost) and yes with the global spread cd of bubble no one pre bubbles. This isn't pve. What I said is the force user instant is the most powerful. Which it is 3. It isn't about numbers? Do you even read the stuff you spew out? 4. The strongest game changing pvp perks are nockbacks, stuns, sprint and pull. Armor is simply a class balancing aspect and one that doesn't hinder a force user if they are skilled. You think a sage runs into the middle of combat? Discussing use of a particular type of heal to assess the value of the class is beyond stupid. There is always a situation for everything and in that regard force users have superior numbers of every type of heal and superior utilities. Situation x calls for option y! There is a good chance sage can do it better, easier and for less cost. pre 1.2 The only thing I can think of would be if a sage chooses to run into 7 enemies and tank it. Other classes would last longer. But that being said a quick juke and you can still be spamming off massive heals on yourself. I have all 3 kinds of healers and I am looking forward to this nerf, I hate knowing my sage can do it better and easier while I am playing my smuggler or commando. Alright I'm not going to read the rest of your rubbish because I already feel lame for replying to you. I am such a sucker for a troll If the rest of your post started to make some level of sense then I apologise for missing your potential. I laugh at the sages who can't handle the fact they are getting.... whats the phrase? TO THE GROUND!
  19. It is pretty obvious why. This game uses a standard marketing strategy pushed to the extreme. This game could be totally dead and they would still review it, market it and talk it up as if it was the messiah of games. They know this game isn't going to make it. So they sell it sell it sell it sell it. They are constantly talking this game up and not much of it matches what the gamer experiences. They will take us and others for all they can before majority catch on. Have you see the developers video's? Even today they sound like they have re-defined the very concept of computer gaming. Even on the penny-arcade review they somehow managed to get them too do a marketing stunt instead of a proper review. The marketing, the PR, the hype, the constant emails, the review blogs, the forum inquisition. They are amazing! constant and relentless. If people don't stop and actually look what is in front of them they will get swept along with it. They put huge amounts of money and time into it. This game won't last long but it sure has been one successful hit and run.
  20. I posted so many threads about the OP ness of force using healers Best aoe Best instant heal (bubble) Largest nuke heal ingame that due to bug was spamable at reduced cast time pvp changing percs = pull / nockback / sprint Another little known perk is the buff / debuff GCD count. Sages use 1 hot in order to apply all relivent buffs to that heal spec. Using merc / commando as example. They have to use a crappy kolto bomb, an earth shield style move and a weak quick heal in order to apply all relivent buffs before they even get to start putting out decent heal output. 3 gc's before even starting to heal? Horrible! Sage = hot straight into guaranteed massive quick cast heal nuke. = win The problem was the other healers HPS is rotation based in order to maintain regen viability. Burning cost them and was often unrewarding Sages HPS was meant to be limited by force pool, however due to poor designing not only do/did force uses have unlimited pool but had amazing HPS when they chose to burn for no repercussions. Ontop of this the best of every heal. A skilled player would spam over 8k heals every 1.4 seconds then force sprint los when focused. A good force user never let themselves get focused. and just nuke healed the hell out of everyone. I made many many threads about all of this. Bioware shut most of them down in order to prevent news about it spreading, but I kept making them. Now I am glad and smirking so hard to see these few changes that will totally decimate the class It all paid off ^^ I can understand people getting upset, but it was a long time coming and totally deserved! I have one of every kind of healer. I am glad to see my force user not be 10 times more effective Besides!, whenever I decided to use my sage in a WZ I was more then triplicate any other healer including other people using sage. I was average about 500k healing on my sage in an average quick game. My sage is lvl 40 with 5 points in mana cost so I don't even have access to the sage aoe. Getting 300k + heals is standard once your sage hits level 22! Pretty standard and not hard to do. But I see so many 150-200k healing players in there it makes me cringe. So with so many bad players about, who really cares about this nerf. It won't even affect the majority.

    Dear sorcs/sages

People cried for a nerf People got a nerf People who use words like "rebalancing" are ignorant of how mmo's work in relation to derived enjoyment. Or just wish to sound unique / different.
