  1. I love the image of Theron and Lana, however briefly, questioning their choice of champion. In game obviously they're just glad to have us
  2. Good good good stuff. I love a good Dark Council scene. And it's fun to begin to see the glimpses of other canon classes.
  3. That edit is the best author's note I've ever read. Nice eye for detail and very nice setup for why a mutiny might take place. The speaker comes across as well-informed and bitter - a dangerous combination.
  4. a) I’m bad at replies and b) I’m very liberal these days about skipping swathes of stuff that might depress me, but that said, I did plow through a bunch of stuff these last few days. Carry on!
  5. *blows off the dust as she shuffles to center stage* *a-hem* What About That Guy? I’ve been guilty of quite a few nameless one-off characters. The first one who recommended himself to me was from a one-shot I did after the end of the Lodestone AU’s main events, twenty-four years after the end of the class line. In Lodestone, Imperial Agent Wynston has that scrap of soul that permits for lasting attachments and he makes one with Sith Warrior Ruth. Adventures are had. The good guys win the day. Ruth and Quinn’s son Colrand eventually marries a fellow LS Sith, Avanna. And here, with about 2200 words and no spoilers, their wedding had a lot of guests…
  6. Awwww, younglings I love the descriptions of Korriban's environment.
  7. Om nom nom And Jedi, thinking in absolutes...tsk, tsk! I could really see Lord Scourge getting good with droids over the course of three hundred years. For more than just smashing them, I mean. Loving this!
  8. Excellent Vette scene, for both characters involved
  9. Just for something different, I'd like to present a Mix It Up: Blues Edition collaboration with DarthSillyMonkey (not presently a subscriber but I got their OK), where we took turns doing a crossover between my Chiss Agent Wynston and their Chiss Agent Fenn'rys. It was a ton of fun. It has spoilers for the political scene of Agent Hutta, though most of what it postulates is technically outside the game's canon. ~5000 words total. Part 1, bright_ephemera: Part 2, DarthSillyMonkey:
  10. A busy thread is a healthy thread. Comments first: I have a couple of Wynston things I’ve been trying to put in order. Here, a time-scattered Pickup Lines crossed with Mea Culpa. Wynston. It uses a couple of his older stories, only one of which is published. It can go at the beginning of his index. 750 words, no spoilers.
  11. No, neither Pierce nor Tharan send letters.
  12. I could just hug Jannik. I've always liked him, I like what you do with him. And Zane's POV is outstanding. Looking forward to what happens with that button
  13. @josephinec, welcome to the thread!! Maybe I’m mean but I find Xenli’s discomfiture hilarious. I’d love to hear the lady Warrior stumbling through her lines for once. And Vette’s interference for Xenli’s own good…just what a friend would do. @Lunafox, I see your positivity all over the place. Welcome to the SFC
  14. @Feldraeth, okay, that NPC's fate is hilarious. She should be grateful, right? @Mirdthestrill, I wondered what Lord Erius was up to...baiting our Warrior into a fury and then punishing her for it, I see. Quillan and Karanni's next meeting will only be that much less likely to result in two survivors. I’ve been trying to figure out how best to introduce Niselle, of the There Is No Death, There Is Only Wrath (NDOW) universe. She was an impulsive afterthought in that, my first standalone thread here on the forums; as the twin sister of NDOW’s Warrior Nalenne she ended up being useful after all. So anyway I finally thought of something. (Un)Invited Guests for Niselle. 350 words, no spoilers.
  15. You know, Pierce Junior is dashedly hard to write sometimes - you'll notice I haven't written any of his salacious products in a while - but I'm so glad (if alarmed) that he gets a warm welcome. Next up, comments!
  16. I knew Ciner's reversal was coming and I still had my heart in my throat the whole first half.
  17. I love the fact that Kiarn knows full well Zash might be chewing her up and spitting her out, but is still determined to survive and win.
  18. This Lifespan prompt put me in mind of Wynston, because Wynston is a Chiss who will be lucky to see his eightieth birthday. It's really more about aging than the actual finish line. This is at present the latest entry in Ruth!verse canon, nineteen years after the class lines end. No spoilers.
  19. Comments to follow. For now, in honor of the new prompt I’ve done a little research about Star Wars species and compiled a list of the most common PC and NPC species (where available). Take these all with a large grain of salt! Star Wars is a big universe with a lot of sometimes contradictory information, as I found while researching this. I have favored the Ultimate Alien Anthology first, then Wookieepedia over other competitors. In any and all cases, don’t let one data point (that isn’t even officially canon) override what works for your story. Table derived from the Ultimate Alien Anthology – an incredible list, really, go use this if you don't see your species below Specific callouts: Cathar: Up to 79 Chagrian: Up to 76 Chiss: 80 is venerable Dashade: 85 is average (barring extraordinary measures) Devaronian: 80 is venerable Ewok: 60 is venerable Gand: 60 is average, 95 is possible Gen-Dai: 4000-7000 Houk: 80 is venerable Human: 100-120, Force sensitives may survive to ~200 Hutt: 1000 is average Jawa: 65 is venerable Joiner: ?? Effects unknown Kaleesh: up to 80 Miraluka: 85 is venerable Mirialan: 80 is venerable Mon Calamari: 85 is venerable Nautolan: Up to 70 Rattataki: 70 is venerable Rodian: 60 is venerable Sarkhai: ?? Near-Human Selkath: Up to 100 Sith Pureblood (this is more speculative than most): 60 is venerable Sullustan: 70 is venerable Talz: up to 50 Trandoshan: 60 is venerable (Qyzen Fess may say differently, I forget) Togruta: Up to 94 Twi’lek: 80 is venerable Weequay: Up to 90 Wookiee: 400 is average Zabrak: 70 is venerable
  20. Aaaahhh yeessss *hem* *sits attentively, hands folded* Do continue. (Wow, you have a lot of characters now that you line all them up. I feel like I know them.)
  21. Aahhh you have your own thread, this is glorious! I love these two. They're adventure-prone and funny.
  22. Ahh, intrigue! It's so nice to see someone acknowledge potential bad effects of any kind of poison. No such thing as a 100% safe dosage on a patient you just met. Can't wait to see who she wakes up to.
  23. I didn’t manage to finish a Baggage but I have a Grooming for Imperial Agent Wynston. No spoilers. 400 words.
