  1. set bonus is on the armoring mod.
  2. lol, this made my day. I have zero interest to log in anymore. I started the launcher to DL the patch, and now it's just sitting there, I can't even bring myself to click "PLAY."
  3. Yes, yes it can. And it's not just sith, it's pretty much all the classes. The new armors look ridiculous and how no one in the building at Bioware Austin said anything is astounding. Do they even play these games? Long lead time on designing armor looks or not, sometimes you gotta realize what you have is crap and start over. Then you bust balls to get better stuff done in time. You don't go live with crap and say "oh well, we'll try harder next patch."
  4. Bioware has been fail at making cool armor for Jedi for some time now.
  5. Sending 1 player (2 at the most) to harass the 3rd point is a decent strat. It forces the attackers to defend their 1 point rather than sending an all out attack on one of your 2 controlled nodes.
  6. By that time, you should have got an orange item as a quest reward. From there you can just fill it with mods using commendations. If you sold it or you skipped that quest, just keep questing and you'll get another soon enough.
  7. That sounds very odd, considering I soloed up to, and including, angral at level 32.
  8. I've done it at least twice since the game went live and several other times in beta.

    Marking Healers

The way I see it, target marking, in general, is good for PvP, but there are some things that I think should be changed: The size of the mark should not scale with distance. You should not see giant marks from half way across the map. The mark should be no larger than the nameplate at all times. The mark should not persist through death. You should have to remark the target after each respawn.
  10. That's funny, because we have 1.2 coming with a new operation that has been developed since launch (4 months, give or take). Not to mention KP was not released at launch as was added a few weeks later. So ya, 1 year? not even close, try again.
  11. This is pretty much how I feel about it. This is one of those fights that makes people not want to log in for guild raid night.
  12. And if Bioware had not spent 5 years making cookie-cutter, side quests, they could have instead spent that time making all the types of raiding and PvP content that people want to see. Instead, they have the situation you're describing where you can clear all the end-game content in a few hours.
  13. What makes you think that area WASN'T intended to be accessible? There are objects placed for easy jumping that make it accessible. Also, this was used in beta for months and they never changed it even though they made other small changes to the map to make it the way it is now.
  14. With no other changes to the system, this is a terrible thing to do. Now, if they had some way to ensure that warzones always started with full and balanced teams, then this would be okay. But they don't, so what you'll have now is a warzone will start with one side shorthanded, that team, once they realize they're overmatched will say "screw it" and they'll all exit area. This^^ Unless the patch notes state specifically that that is the case, then it's going live. Hence why you have a test server, to test things out as if they were live before they go to the real servers. What's the point in testing something that you don't intend to go live?

    Just got to Lv50...

That's fine and all, but it literally takes about 3 days to gear up for PvP and patch 1.2 has a credit purchased set that is better than current champ gear. RPG PvP is about long term character building, that's part of the competitiveness of the game is building up your character with the right gear and skill build. People need to stop expecting to run in with level 44 green gear and be on par with people in full champ/BM gear, it's not gonna happen and that's WAI. BM gives you a slight advantage over full cent/champ gear and I find that perfectly acceptable and very competitive. But you gotta compare apples to apples, and frankly, leveling greens aren't even in the ballpark.
  16. I know you think you're clever, but you highlight exactly what my whole point is. There need be no disctinction because what is now called "end-game" would instead be "THE game." Afterall, there are more people doing end-game right now or have quit because of lacking end-game content than those of you who are eternally level 30. And that's not an opinion, just log into any server and see how many level 50s there are vs how many are still putzing around on leveling planets with their main character.
  17. If you're taking agro during an ops encounter, you're doing it wrong (assuming, of course, that your tank isn't a derp-de-derp). Several DPS classes have a threat reducing ability, it should be used on cooldown, no exceptions. If you don't have one, you have to watch what you're doing and not over-agro. This is a skill that I have noticed many DPS players either failed to learn or have forgotten over their time playing MMOs. DPS players need to pace themselves, it's a balancing act and it adds to the challenge of the game when tanks and DPS have to work together to manage threat. If you want to pull agro and flex your epeen, go for it, but I don't need a threat meter to tell you how much dps you do while dead.
  18. That makes no sense. Leveling speed varies from game to game, not within the game itself. SWTOR is kinda a fast leveling game, other games are slower. If you want to do EVERYTHING possible, you have to realise that you're going to outpace things. But don't say that the option isn't there. You can do literally everything there is to do. Nothing stops you from doing gray quests or low level flashpoints.
  19. I actually disagree. The game is setup that you can level up in a variety of ways yet there is still enough xp that you can level only doing one thing. If you are dead set on doing every sidequest in the game (I've done that as well) you have to accept that you will outpace the quests. We want a shorter leveling game, not a longer one. I think it's good that there is variety to be had.
  20. I have no idea what a "tap" is, but if it's in your bank, you can hover your mouse cursor over it and it will give you a tooltip that tells you what it is. Yes, you buy the skill and the speeder seperately. There are several varieties of speeder to buy and you can buy as many as you like. You only need to buy the skill once. No, they're are not usable everywhere. Usually they are not allowed indoors. Credits are so easy to make, just play the game normally and you'll get tons. You don't have to worry about specifically earning credits. Fleet, it's marked on your map. The absolute best way to raise social rank is to always play with a partner and do all the sidequests on each planet in a group. You only get social points from doing conversations with at least one other person, starting the quest solo, then grouping to kill the mobs and then turning it in solo with get you nothing. You probably did Essless at level 10 and that get's you about 100 point, however, it's trivial not that you're 25. Yes, 750 is a lot and it will take you a while to get it. This is a change coming in patch 1.2. It's bogus, I've heard their explanation, but like so many other things, I wonder if they actually play these games or if they just do it for the cash. bonus xp for not playing the game It's Warzones and no they don't. All of them, if you can train it from your class trainer, do it. yes, you have to be social and talk to other players.
  21. 1-49 does NOT count. It's an artificial barrier, a roadblock, put up to hold you back from doing the things that are actually fun all in the name of extending your subscription time. I'd rather just start out with a level 50 character and jump right into end-game activities. They could have cut out the 1-49 leveling and sidequests and instead spent that time designing more end-game stuff; better PvP, more Operations, capital ships, etc. and it probably would have been a lot more fun.

You can gear up to about 400 expertise in about 3 days if you do it right. That said, gear builds are not just for PvE, they're a staple of general RPG gameplay. Unfortunately, SWTOR has a basic vertical progression where you get tier 1 then teir 2 then 3 instead of multiple gear paths where you have to pick and choose the items that best complement your playstyle.
