  1. I was thinking the exact same thing.
  2. This is where you're wrong. You don't "need" those rakata consumables to be competitive. It is entirely possible to be competitive in PvP with only warzone medpacs, I do it all the time. The fact is, you "want" those things because you think it will give you an advantage. You want it, therefore you need to go do what it takes to get it. Stop thinking that MMOs are only about one thing or another. If that's how you look at these games, you should stick to the MOBA genre.
  3. So to experience the whole game, you actually have to participate in the entirety of the game? Shocking I know /sarcasm It's great that you choose to only PvP, you only want to play half the game, fine, whatever, more power to ya. But don't be suprised when you run into something that can't be accomplished when you focus on a narrow aspect of the game.
  4. That's not true. I often PvP in full columi/rakata gear with zero expertise and I do just fine.
  5. Greens don't sell on the GTN, at least not on my server. Artifact purple items do though.
  6. Firing missles works the same as it always did (single-click right mouse) even after you equip photon torpedoes. I have no idea why you guys think it's functioning differently. I do space missions every day and it has always worked like this.
  7. I always have the group cluster up when he goes stealth and pop off AOEs to break his stealth. Works every time.
  8. As the raid leader for my guild, I'd prefer 16 man raids to remain optional. The only change I think that needs to happen is that their difficulty be tuned down to match that of the 8 man version. Higher quantity of drops is all that is needed, not higher quality. There should not be unique items that only drop on 16 man raids that can not be obtained from 8 mans. Just my opinion, take it for what it's worth, but I rather like doing things with a smaller, tighter-knit group.
  9. You don't have to run missions for gathered mats, you can manually gather them for free. So perhaps, whatever price they're selling it for is a profit. Also, why would things be priced higher on the GTN than what it costs to get the same mats from missions? If your potential buyers can get the mats from missions, they won't be willing to pay more to get them from the GTN.
  10. +1, would read again

    Should I delay 50?

The only people who are "screwed" in 50 PvP are the baddies. There is a higher caliber of player playing at 50, so naturally you are going to run into stiffer competition when you suddenly start into the 50+ bracket. That should have been rather obvious. If you play well, with a good team, you will do just fine. Skill and teamwork still trump baddies in better gear.
  12. Actually the tooltip explains exactly what you're asking. It specifies "weak," "standard" and "strong" mobs. Players are not considered to be any of those categories. It also doesn't work on elite, champion or boss mobs. As a guardian, I have 2 such abilities. It's a tool for killing low-end mobs faster, nothing more.
  13. If they did this, the items would be BOP like all the other crafted Rakata items. Basically you can make it for you own use but you won't be selling them to anyone else.
  14. Even if they put a chance to get rare mats on gathering nodes, it would still be RNG based and not skill based.
  15. The change will make it easier for new 50s to quickly get a full set of Centurion items, thus narrowing the gap. Currently, it can take quite awhile to get a set of Centrurion gear and often times, it's easier to skip Cent and go straight for Champion items. Basically, new 50s won't be in non-expertise gear for as long as they are now.
  16. Did you really think that they would increase the drop rate of champ items? If so, you're living in a dream world. Gearing up would be way too easy then.

    Champion Gear Bag

The purchased bags have been tagged as "unique" since day 1. The bags that you get from dailies and weeklies are not, even though they look exactly the same. However, the daily/weekly bags can only be acquired by level 50 characters since you won't get the quests until you get 50. So basically, you can not horde champ bags on a sub-50 character.
  18. You would be wrong, but whatever. It's not archaic, you simply don't like it, but rather than stating that as an opinion, you're trying to present it as a fact.
  19. Op, I think you want the League of Legends forums. Then you're playing the wrong genre of game. MMORPGs are all about progression. It doesn't matter if it's pvp progression or pve progression, the game is all about building a character over the long term. It's more than just discrete encounters with another player. If that's all you want, there are a myriad of FPS and MOBA games out there to play.
  20. Actually I agree with the OP and I remember your thread on the beta boards. Your thread attracted those people who agreed with you. I read it and didn't respond/vote because I wasn't interested in your topic. I figured gear progression was already a part of the game and it wasn't worth my time to repsond to things that weren't going to happen. However, there are games out there that cater to the type of non-gear progression gameplay that you advocate for. League of Legends and other MOBA type games as well as FPS games offer GREAT PvP experiences and don't involve gear progression. MMOs are for those of us who want to build a character over the long term and not have that progress reset after every match.
  21. As a roleplay device, yes, cheating is encouraged. Game exploits are not roleplay devices. That said, this isn't an exploit either.
  22. Didn't they confirm this as legit a few weeks ago? Why are we still discussing this?
