  1. Wait, what happened to 56k every 11 minutes.... You've said yourself that there's no diminishing returns and that repeatable goals don't ever catch up... which is it?
  2. I've already proved CONCLUSIVELY that crafting is actually the BEST way to get conquest points... See but you're not complaining about that, which makes me think that now you have an ulterior motive for complaining.. It's so easy if I wanted to I could make a friggin macro to do it.... I wouldn't but I could... If I crit at 75% rate... 80 base per minute, times 60 minutes 80*60= 4800 crafted items 4800*1.75 (75% crit rate) = 8400 pieces 8400/50 (amount needed for CQ goal) = 168 completions 168*1500 = 252,000 CQ points PER HOUR
  3. Did she close the game all the way out and then log all the way back in? You have to close the game completely for billing to update.
  4. As I've pointed out before, no it won't... Because then the other side SCREAMS that they just did a GSF match and wasted tons of time because some newbie scrub cost them the match... Because guess what, Win a GSF match USED to be the objective when CQ started... They had to change it cause having that be the objective KILLED GSF AND PVP cause no one wanted to do it because they didn't get rewarded. They also had objectives for GSF, that didn't help either, idiots still suicided cause it was quicker to end the match and get to the next one.
  5. Not really... we can argue semantics if you want... I used your numbers.... Also you don't get the CQ points for the CQ weekly target until you accept the reward and complete the quest. PvP and GSF get 1250 CQ points per match completion instead of 625 like regular quests....
  6. Stop me here though.... Aren't the quests to get the companions supposed to be level 70? So all of you arguing that the player needs to get to 75 AND get top end gear AND get a companion that they just got to level 50 (cause you won't have your old story companions at this point) for a quest they should be able to do at level 70 is acceptable? Is SFH2 soloable, at level 75 it is... At level 70 (what this quest is geared for) not so much..... They're asking for the QUEST for the COMPANIONS to be soloable, not the H2 to be made easier... It's kinda the same argument for that stupid Binocular and Seeker Droid quest....
  7. You cannot base point gains on what someone can do in 10 minutes vs 10 hours... you have to do it based on the same time period across ALL gains (not just planetary, PvP, GSF, Crafting, etc) Let me give you an example of WHY you can't... People are creative and will figure out how to game a system, and I'll even use myself as an example... When conquest first came out, it took me less than a minute to figure out I could stealth all the way to the last boss on Battle of Ilum, invite 3 other people, kill the last boss, finish that instance while another stealther was going to the end of another instance to reinvite those other 3 ppl I just finished with to do the same thing.... Devs have to be above that kind of thinking. Hence why it was nerfed... and then nerfed again.... and again... Right now I can tell you that if you had a group of people go into GSF and mass suicide, they could EASILY outstrip the planetary gains right now. I'll bet they could easily get CQ in an hour just suiciding as fast as they could. I'll bet daily they could get CQ goal in less than 30 minutes (how long does it take 8 ppl to suicide 50 times)... I won't be a party to testing that theory, but I bet they could. Devs said long ago people were free to mass suicide in GSF and they won't do anything about it. If they made the gains any better, this would happen. Don't believe me, go look at past behavior.... IIRC people were popping 15 to 20 matches per hour in GSF just to do this. Same thing happened with PvP... So again, the gains have to be measured around a time with people playing extremes... Right now they DON'T go into PvP and GSF to mass suicide or afk cause there is another alternative that gets them points just as fast as doing that over and over.
  8. You're not looking at the whole picture... You're taking 1 slice of the overall metric... The only way to ACCURATELY measure gains is to pick 1 specific time period that applies to ALL of the objectives. The only one that applies to ALL is DAILY (as they reset every 24 hours). In this case, how many points could theoretically be gained before the system resets. It's the difference between perceived and actual amount.... When you look at OMG planetary quest gains are done in 10 mins, you're not taking into account the other 1430 minutes of the entire period available to gain points. Yea that first 10 min was fast but the next 10 are going to be slower and slower and slower each successive 10 minute period afterward because NOTHING repeats. Now that person who takes 90 min to get there, their gains are more stable. While it takes them LONGER to gain the same amount, each successive 90 minutes will not see as large of a fall off especially because their gains are repeatable. Starfighter has a 1500 infinitely repeatable. That means once they pass that one off, they're still gaining 1500 per match (plus match completion) each time. Planetary quests have no such repeatable quest. Now PvP has it a bit better because their repeatable is 2750 (plus match completion), but the caveat there is that it's 8 medals and some matches it's possible to NOT get 8 medals (think 4v4). Again, Planetary has no such repeatable. As for your video, the last match you had you had 46,500 before you started... When you finished you had 56,750. You didn't gain a renown level, and you got 7,500 for completing the last socialite. So, 56,750 what you started with which was 46,500 leaves 10,250. Now you got 7,500 for socialite which leaves 2,750. You got 1,500 for doing the CQ goal and another 1,250 for the match.... So every match AFTER you finish your 1 off CQ goals you still get 2,750 PER MATCH. Planetary quests are not giving 2,750 points per completion. Even if you take your slice of time, 90 minutes.... that's 2750 points every 11.25 minutes. So let's use that number... You can do 128 GSF matches in 1 day. That's 352,000 points.... Plus your 1 offs, and renown dings (3 I think right?) is 386,750... Just to be generous to you, we will subtract that 4,500 for renown ups... which leaves a grand total of.... 382,250 points.... per day or 265 point's per minute Now let's do Daily Mission (1 for each planet) plus each slayer, plus 26 quest turn ins... 481,250 points... per day or 334 points per minute FOR A GRAND TOTAL OF 21% more points doing planetary quests [(481,250-382,250)/481,250] over 24 hours .... And that's using YOUR numbers. Again... Not even CLOSE to your 10x faster or 400% faster. So you're literally arguing for an extra 300 points (give or take) PER GSF match... Now mind you BOTH of these point gains are going to be on the high end of the extremes. I would venture a guess that the averages they have fall closer to these 2 numbers being closer over a 24 hour period... I don't see most players even coming close to EVERY single planetary, heroic, slayer, etc in 24 hours... Just like I don't see someone doing 128 GSF matches.... Are there people that will do extremes, of course there are, that's why then numbers have to flesh out over 24 hours (each daily reset) as opposed to how fast a person finishes...
  9. Again look at the math... I included the dings... anyway you slice it planetary one offs offer less per minute than PvP/GSF, which in turn offer less per minute than crafting. Planetary (includes slayers) without quest turn ins is 320 CQ/min. PvP/GSF (Not including daily quests or socialite) is 602 CQ/min. If you include daily/socialite it's about 622 CQ/min Crafting can be as much as 2400 CQ/min... You're cherry picking points and not looking at the whole thing. Granted I put it in 2 posts, but all the math is there. Yes each quest offers 650 CQ per completion, But to even approach the 600 CQ/min there would have to be 615 daily quests available (on top of the CQ objectives), and there just isn't that many.... And even if there was, no one is completing 1 quest every 2.3 minutes.
  10. BTW, if you want to argue that kill counts need added in, well it's 12,500 for BOTH per planet (75 kills total)... well 26 planet slayers is 325,000 CQ points... Plus the 140k previously is 465,000 CQ points or 322 CQ/min.... Which is still 300 LESS CQ/min then doing GSF... If you really want to argue about who has the best deal, pick on crafters.... I wouldn't advise doing so, you never want to incur the wrath of a crafter... A level 50 comp can make 10 level 1 components PER minute... x8 Companions is 80 per minute... 80x1440 is 115,200 components per 24 hours... 115,200/50 is a total of 2,304 times that the crafter CQ objective for 1500 points each time 1500*2304 is a WHOPPING 3,456,000 points PER 24 hours... Which is 2400 CQ points PER MINUTE...... And this is without crits....
  11. On thinking about this (and I did not read all the posts) something I'd like to see added is an option to mute suspected gold sellers.... Once an account is flagged by ANY player as selling gold, it would flag that account in chat and players could choose to auto ignore that account by clicking an option. And it could be automated... This way it wouldn't take an ignore space, and once CS actually investigates, if it was a mistake, that account would be unflagged in chat.
  12. Again, Planetary are DAILY... GSF you can do until you're blue in the face, and then do it some more. And frankly, your "Planetary Tourist" slight is just as bad IMO as the old "PvE Heros" comments PvPers used to throw around. Insulting a person based on how they want to play is not making your point. But lets add it all up for you.... And I'm sorry, basing your time on SPEED RUNS is not average. To complete 1 quest on each planet which is 26 planets total (I'd argue 25 cause once you complete Quesh there are no daily quests there) is 130,000 CQ at MAX BONUS. 10k for the 1 daily heroic is 140k... Per day... that's it... ALL DONE! No more... zip, zilch, nada, none, zero.... Now, I'll also argue that on AVERAGE (not speed runs) it takes more than 5 min per planet, but I'll go low ball and say 5min per planet. That's 2h and 10min total to knock ALL of those out... And then they are done FOR THE DAY! Now on to the math.... Because we don't have an average play time per player, we can only go by CQ gain per 24 hours.... Doing planetary quests is around 1000 per minute... a large amount for sure, but when you divide that by 24 hours (which is 1440 minutes) that lowers the time to 90.2 CQ/min. Which gives you a grand total of ....wait for it.... 130k per day. Now your GSF time is 622 CQ/min... which is not bad... is not as much as the planetary quests... however... that 622 is infinite... which means over 24 hours you can gain 895,680 CQ.... Granted this hourly will drop slightly without the socialite and one times (you lose 20 CQ per minute)... So even at 602 CQ per minute it's still 892,800 per 24 hours. So.... over the course of playtime who's getting the better deal? If anything an argument could be made that GSF and PvP are awarding way too much.... Now just in case you're wondering, that break point for when planetary quests =/= GSF, it's 3.5 hours. Now yes there are one off's (like trash/amplifiers/etc) but those aren't specific to doing planetary quests... You could have done ALL of those while you were waiting for GSF to pop. Which you didn't do in your video. Also planetary kill counts will add significant time to complete. In other words, your argument is not holding a lot of weight. All you did was provide me a way to prove GSF/PvP gave better rewards in the long run..... [EDIT] For the record that's not even CLOSE to your claim of OMG 400% better...
  13. We had this back and forth once already, but again as you pointed out, if CQ gains is the path of least resistance, people WILL go there, even if they hate it. We already proved this when conquest first came out. People constantly just either AFKing or constant suicide to end the match as quickly as possible. Also winning a match was also a losing proposition (remember it used to be win or nothing). Problem is PvP/GSF players will complain when they get stuck on teams with scrubs or worse having to fight the same 8 man guild queue sync group. And if they don't get on the same team they just leave the match. And if they get stuck together on a 4v4 they just win trade and die ASAP to get into the next match. Everything they've done for CQ points in PvP has been an abysmal failure. Yet you sit here an ask for the same things they've tried expecting a different result... that's literally insanity.
  14. It's extra XP from completing other stuff.. I've noticed it too. What happened was they took out the extra chat spam. It used to say when you skipped levels all the level ups in between, now it just shows the end result.
  15. Oh I don't doubt it... look what the First Order did to Ilum in just one movie.... lol I just know that if the rumors (and yea I know they are rumors) about making a shared universe ala MCU in an earlier time frame, they may start to put a lock down on artistic license for some planets. I'm not a big fan of the heavy hammer the Disney Overlords have come in with in regards to the EU (legends or whatever you want to call it), but they get to make the rules now and they really do like total control...
  16. Actually it does.... to a point (it also has side effects).... A lot of people are leveling up alts due to Double XP.... Gain 5 levels (which is repeatable) goes all the way from 10 to 70. The rate of gain is faster than it would normally be. Gain a Renown Level. Again, you're getting XP twice as fast at this point which means you're dinging this twice as fast. While not a direct result of 2x XP, people leveling up gathering and crafting skills is a side effect, which is going to have people hitting that craft 50 and harvest 5 nodes more often as well.... People are also probably bypassing most side quests as well, bunching story quests fairly quickly (which is repeatable).... And since they're running from planet to planet faster, they're getting slayers as well. So while it's not a huge effect, it is a decent bit of effect. Also I'm not really sure again what the big deal is.... Any points after 50k are wasted for the most part. The same guilds that were winning before are still winning now. Yea people can get more alts to 50k, but the only real thing that hurts is crafting mats, which if I may point out, these people farming for those mats are doing it faster as well and on more alts, so even if PPU goes down, they should still be netting more mats... Yea it may cause a price drop, but lets face it, prices naturally drop the longer something is out anyways... Does it suck PvP/GSF get less points for time, maybe.... But as I've pointed out before, the devs have to balance those points against people going into PvP/GSF and essentially ruining it for the people who enjoy that. If PvP/GSF are made the path of least resistance for points again, it's going to cause those players to freak out again. The vitriol was horrid in the original conquest... Anyone remember "PvE Heroes"? And that was tamest slight at people screwing up PvP/GSF matches... I know several PvP players that moved on and will NEVER return because of this.
  17. The goal Missions: Story Time is available every week so far. It's only available to level 10-49 and 50-70. At level 71+ it is replaced by a 1 per day chapter goal.
  18. No no.... Summer is my gambling time... And with all the casinos closed, I need a fix and is not cutting it
  19. I can tell you every thing being quoted is from the Legends set and not cannon.... The basic links are Dathomir: Legends Dathomir: Cannon Here's the main problem between the two at this point. In Legends, Dathomir was a lush planet... In cannon, it's a dark and twisted planet. Disney would almost certainly have to sign off on ANY changes to a Cannon planet at this point. Given how much story was given to the planet thru Clone Wars, but lack of meaningful back story, they could add it, but I'd imagine most (if not all) of the legends stuff would be thrown to the curb... [EDIT] Considering that there is rumored plans of a series taking place well before the "Skywalker Saga", I don't think Disney would want a planet they may plan to use like Dathomir having 2 histories... Though if the rumors are true, we may get tie ins to those new planets (as well as updates to bring old planets in line).
  20. Actually Double XP/Renown DOES make a difference. The conquest objective also grants XP/renown. When you ding you get gain renown rank... a couple of times I managed to pop this 3 times with 1 turn in. The weekly of any heroic set will probably pop this twice right now if you max buffs with it. I also increases the speed at which you gain levels. Under 71 you get every 5 levels... At the early levels this goes especially fast. When I look at your adding, you're not counting your renown rank up. That's a decent chunk of CQ if you pop it enough times. Shoot just doing DK heroic set with side quests I had like 8 new Renown boxes... Trust me, Double XP is making a difference in the numbers. I'll also just hit on the point of diminishing returns..... It does exist whether you believe it or not. That 10k heroic is gone after the first character you do it on until tomorrow. So is that first mission per planet. So is that slayer deed. So is the selling trash. Etc, etc, etc... The only PvP quest that stops is the weekly, but it's once per day now so you could get it on other characters (used to be once per CQ). Repeating a PvP/GSF match is forever. Eventually Group activities will outpace all the solo stuff you complain about.... EDIT: And just to point out, all heroic quests and slayer deeds are NOT created equal... Some will be faster and some will be slower. A better argument here if you want that part of the argument to be take seriously is to play as an AVERAGE player with AVERAGE skill doing EVERY heroic and slayer deed and dividing that time by the total quests, slayers, etc done. Personally I don't really have the stomach to do all of that, but I'll bet the time to complete across EVERY class and EVERY objective starts to average out. Some classes have always had it better than others. Shoot I'll bet if I put my mind to it I could do it FASTER on my shadow main then you could on Jugg, But I also have a sage I totally SUCK at that will take me forever with that same set.
  21. Yea it broke in the patch... Who knows if it'll be fixed... You have to close the window and reopen it now. It's annoying
  22. The problem is, and I'll admit I'm selfish, is I don't want a bunch of flat leavers coming in and screwing up PvP... Every time they've added an objective based goal to PvP it's gone horribly wrong one way or another. If PvP rewards were equal and on par with the other menial tasks you mention, they'd ruin it again. It's a balancing act between PvPers actually having PvP and getting CQ rewards... I'm not saying I wouldn't like better rewards for PvP, but at the same time I don't want PvP ruined.... The kill objective screws over Huttball cause no one will play objectives. People will just use it as a kill fest and then get pissed cause you, working on the actual objective of winning, made the match end too fast cause they didn't get your kills. If they added an objective to pass it, or carry it, that's gonna start people just standing around waiting for it to respawn just to get those easy points. Again screwing over the match. Hold or take an objective... that's gonna start groups of people standing around 1 node doing nothing. I already explained the medal problem. Also because of the random nature of which PvP matches spawn, tying it to specific WZ could mean you never get a WZ you need an objective for. I've been back since January and I still haven't seen Denova. Most of what I've seen is 4v4, which only has kill, which means objective based things are worthless... But the repeatables that you say are all shiny and new are once per day per legacy. Once it's done, it's done for they day. I can still PvP all day and get points for every match except the weekly/daily, which I think should be at the least 1 per day...
  23. Hoth and Belsavis I believe Imp side at least both start on the orbital station and not on the planet... Not sure if this is true for Pub side or not...
  24. Here's the problem... You currently say 10 minutes to earn 50k CQ... OK, well that's with the 150% stronghold bonuses... But we'll set that particular bonus aside for the moment... So if we want to make it equal to time wise, then we'd have to make the 3 PvP (daily, medals, participate) ones about 17k each with bonus... Now to make it fair, we'd have to make them once per day.... Now do you see why this is a problem? Now you're not getting ANYTHING for any subsequent match except the first... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Under the old system we had participate, 8 medals, AND win as CQ goals.... It didn't help... you still had plenty of people just standing there doing NOTHING to help to get CQ... Let me explain just how easy it is to get 8 medals.... Mass Taunt - 3 medals Self Heal - 3 medals Stand in a SOI of any objective - at least 2 medals Hit someone once - 1 medal Oh look I already have 9 medals, plus my participation trophy... Now just to lose as fast as possible so I can get in the next match... Even with a win objective it's still faster to lose in a couple minutes and get a new match then to try and win.... This was especially bad with huttball... I cannot stress this enough, high reward CQ goals RUIN PvP.... GSF was worse cause people would just suicide to get the match to end quicker...
  25. And the complaints were MASSIVE from PvPers who kept getting stuck on teams with sucky players just there to TRY and get CQ points.... Which is why they added the play a match... How long have you been playing this game? Seriously it's either not long enough, or you have a very selective memory. I've always been of the opinion that PvP should be a side game. There are 2 quests where doing pvp specifically is part of the story and 1/4 of the characters can even SKIP that. Otherwise PvP has no bearing on the overall story at all... It's a side thing. I PvP and I'm fine with that... I don't PvP for the story, I PvP cause I wanna smack the crap out of people and that doesn't change. At least now I don't have to deal with unskilled screwing with PvP... For me it's win/win... So what, I don't get as many points. BFD.... I can still spam menial tasks in between non existent queue pops (I can usually get 2 heroics done before a match)... And before you say why do I have to do extra stuff to get CQ, people who got stuck being FORCED to PvP had noting to do in between that awarded ANYTHING. All they could do was PvP and screw the actual PvPers who wanted to have fun over.... But I digress that I am not in the majority when it comes to why I want to PvP... I want a challenge, not a bunch of meat puppets for the slaughter. Too bad it seems like the majority just wants opponents to laydown... But then again most PvP players are griefers at heart anyways so I'm not sure why that even surprises me..
