The NGE was Made with in a months' work using the CU engine, by reducing the global cooldown timer, adding a FPS like targeting system. this was in hopes of making galaxies successful, sadly no. year after the NGE was getting better, the Devs that ruined the game moved on, Lucas arts moved on to this game's dev cycle. over time the game got better and better, but the damage was done. it could has lasted another 3 years with 2 servers.
