  1. An individual Sith is often stronger than an individual Jedi, because the Sith work to be the ultimate individuals while the Jedi focus on what they can do for other people than what they can do for themselves. But a strong Sith, even the strongest, is just that - a man. When a Jedi manages to harmonise with the will of the Force, then it's not just a man that the Sith is fighting, but the Force itself.
  2. The Jedi put serving the Force above all things. There's no hypocrisy in what they do - most of them know it very well. Acts of charity and selflessness help the Force, and that they help other people too is just a handy side-effect. They know they have to present a noble face to the galaxy to enable them to do that. Jedi priorities are The Force -> The Jedi -> The Republic, in that descending order. Even polite Sith are part of the Sith Order that tries to encourage the growth of the Dark Side. An LS Sith might be an LS Sith, but... they're still a SITH, carrying out the goals of the Sith.
  3. They're busy people, I guess. Hoping Malgus comes back. Maybe if the Emperor dies...
  4. If the Jedi are prepared to kill to protect others, they should at least be prepared to lie to do the same.
  5. I guess it seems vague because there's a lot going on that we don't see. Status in the Sith seems to be all about influence and the size of one's powerbase. Darths aren't more powerful because they're Darths; they're Darths because they're more powerful, and the title is just a way of honouring all that hard work and cunning and showing that whoever can build a powerbase that big and have so much power and influence deserves to be held up as an example.
  6. Wouldn't items like that available so early hit the mods/crystals/hilts/barrels market a bit hard?
  7. One of the novels - one of the Hand of Thrawn duology, I think - has Luke think back to using those powers in Jabba's Palace, and reflect how dangerous a thing it was and how he didn't quite understand what he was doing then.
  8. I believe you can tell her that it's not going to happen and stop the romance from happening, but it's only an option early on in her dialogues and you may have missed it.
  9. Feels more like I Am flipping Legend than Day of the Dead, especially when you find out the Raks're smarter than you think.
  10. I wouldn't call this the most mature of opinions either, if I'm honest. The implication in your post is that all rushers were rewarded, while all relaxed players were denied. You don't seem to acknowledge that there are likely thousands, if not more, players who took things pretty easily - who didn't do anything that could be possibly be conceivably considered 'rushing' - who will still benefit by a free month from this promotion. It's entirely likely that more people who play like you will benefit from this than you realise. Lots of people who were slightly less relaxed than you, slightly more consistent, but still relaxed. It's too easy and frankly quite mendacious to seperate the playerbase into the wrongfully-rewarded crazy kids and the hard-done-by mature slow-players. There was just a cut-off point, as there always would have had to be no matter what they offered. It could have been anywhere, you were just on the wrong side of it this time.
  11. Probably a Wrath of the Lich King-like affair, with both sides fighting one another while also fighting this dangerous new force attacking both of them.
  12. We've already got the Killiks from the Dark Nest trilogy making an appearance. Vong could happen. Listen for my screams.
  13. You're expecting someone to officially acknowledge accomplishments like 'very thorough and patient levelling'? I think you're expecting too much.
  14. An offer given to someone else is not a punishment for you. To say so is quite disingenuous.
  15. A mail saying that they were one of the most valued players. Allegedly. I haven't seen the mail. If you think you're valued, well, maybe you are. But this promotion just wasn't for you. Maybe next time.
  16. The quote seems to be 'We appreciate the feedback and are pleased to announce that we are expanding our Legacy Promotion, also awarding 30 days of play time at no charge to players that have reached Legacy Level 6 (who may not have a 50th level character).' I think you'll be ok.
  17. It makes perfect sense, if you're of the opinion that anyone who feels offended to the point of insisting on an apology is being much too sensitive over this. No company should have to issue formal apologies over every perceived slight, because frankly, there's always someone who'll be offended by everything they do. It's seemingly clear they didn't mean it, they rework their promotion to try and make things clearer and fairer, and even some of the people who post here about being offended admit it was an honest mistake over a rushed promotion whose intentions were good. That should be enough for anyone.
  18. If a company had to spend time apologising for everyone's 'perceptions', they'd not have much time left to get any work done.
  19. If the offer had been called 'Celebrating Sightseers', I'm sure you'd have been just fine. But it isn't. Sorry, I guess. Didn't we already get an award for that? The Founder title. That'll be there as a visible badge of recognition long after the free month has come and gone.
  20. I do hope they do one day give a promotional offer for diligent crafters, or multi-server players or something. If it ever does, I won't begrudge you a thing. If there'd been a free month offered to those with a character with maxed-out professions, I might feel a little disappointed, perhaps kick myself that I didn't focus on crafting a little more. But if they said that those crafters were 'one of our most loyal and avid players'... yeah, I'd see their point. Crafting adds to the economy. I couldn't really dispute that. Just as questing, pvping and flashpoint-running adds to the community. It'd be quite easy for me to point out that not everyone who got to 400/400/400 is contributing to server economy. Perhaps not everyone who got there has been active very long, or is just a completionist wanting to max out a number and then never touch it again. But I certainly wouldn't. Maybe I wouldn't get anything by not raising the issue, but at least I haven't soured the whole deal and made those who might actually deserve it feel bad about it. And there's a lot of that here. It's not good, people.
  21. Worth bearing in mind that level 50 or Legacy 6 doesn't really mean 'in the end-game'. Getting to 50 is just something that tends to happen when you reach the end of a character's story. A lot of people likely got there by doing so. Some people likely got there by getting to the end of act 1 with one character and then got some legacy xp playing alts.
  22. 'Forced', huh. So this free offer wasn't for you. Promotions tend not to be all-inclusive, because... they're promoting something specific. I guess you'll have to wait for the one that rewards diligent crafters.
  23. At least you can do so in the comforting knowledge that no point were you slapped in the face.
  24. It's a Legacy promotion. 'Celebrate Legacy'. It rewards development of Legacy experience. Why does this seem strange?
  25. It's a celebration of the Legacy patch. They tied it into the legacy system. This doesn't seem that weird to me.
