  1. I find it hard to believe. Quite hard infact, the time it takes for such a massive company to add the most basic content, and remove the most basic of irritants from their game. Did it not take half a year before they removed that bloody camera auto correct thing? It's a brand new game, chat bubbles are one of the most basic things one can expect of a game with such a budget and team behind it. The roleplaying community screams for chat bubbles, and not a single word has been said about it, other than that it was "one of their top priorities to implement quickly after launch". We all know the engine is a pice of junk, but surley any programmer of even mediocre competence could have solved the issues by now. Has anyone seen any information about chat bubbles in the E3 info or where ever?
  2. Let me start by saying that If you're going to spew all sort of negativity my way, you might aswell save your self some energy since I wont be re-visiting the thread. To give players a sense of life when it comes to their characters, they need to be given the proper tools inside the game. Sure, we could remove all animations and have the classical T-shape imobile characters, standing with their arms out, floating about like posessed scarecrows... and use our imagination to fabricate awesome scenarios. But it feels like we should be past that now. Do we really need to treat a brand new online roleplaying game as an ancient MUD, where we're forced to write all our emotes in an ever moving wall of text along with everyone else? There are atleast 4 sitting animations that NPC's use, why dont we have acess to those? Why cant we lean up against a wall in a casual fashion like the NPC's? Heck, why can we only sit in the chairs on our space ships and not in the cantina (I think there's even different chair sitting animations for NPC's) All bar desks are the same hight, add the "leaning on bardesk with elbows" animation aswell. And while at it, why have most animations set to loop? And why do they look like they're done by actors in a silent movie from the 90's? (1890's of course). And that wall of text we have to deal with. If there are 10 people in the same room, trying to roleplay, it's damned hard to keep track on what the heck is going on, who's saying what and so on. I know the engine the game runs on is utter otter *****, but is chat bubbles really such a strain on it that it's not possible to add them? I mean, it's a new game, it should have chat bubbles. Without them the cituational awareness of people in a discussion is just harrowing. It is the little things in games that make them good and seem well polished. I'm sure there's plenty of these threads up and about, but I felt the need to voice my thoughts about it. I know there's plenty of people who think the same and for their sake, I hope developers sets off some staff to work on the extremely important little things in the game.
  3. They feel dead because they are. A vast majority of NPC's are clones of one another, looking exactly the same, even when standing in large groups. No attention has been taken to detail in there. Npc's are in most cases just set to loop with one emote. There's only ha few lines of audio that's ment to make the places feel "alive". The only ones I can recall are guys trying to impress women in various ways. There's little reason to go back to any planet you've already been to, and thus, few people do. All in all, making the planets feel "dead". And ofcourse, there will always be less gifted people who will argue otherwise.
  4. Age of Conan added one of those aswell, which was a great idea. SWTOR has way too little good looking gear though, it will end up with everyone looking the same anyhow.
  5. It's really, really easy. Keep the ship up to level. Infact, space combat is so god damned easy, it needs a hardmode.
  6. The worst thing about it is that it's been wished for since the Alpha, and not one single fugging word has been said about it from the developers. The most basic things in here are still messed up.
  7. Bubbles are very much needed. Especially for the RP servers, which are 99% free of RP due to the lack of chat bubbles at the moment.
  8. Actually, the mousedroid pissed me off the most. Since it's not a mousedroid. The mousedroid, you can buy for 25k from the "security key vendor"..
  9. Said you'd get a "mouse droid" aswell. Changed it to some weird little lice looking thing. Now, the mousdroid costs some 25k credits instead...
  10. It got dull pretty fast, sadly. One playthrough on each side and all the dialogue is just skipped
  11. This has been asked for since the alpha. Simple awnser, they dont give a fugg.
  12. I want to hurt the man who looked at the twi'lek racial dance and said "hey, this looks good. let's put it in the game". I've never seen anything so talentless and hideous in my life.
  13. I would demand a refund, or a new statue. Mine looks great. Really nice detail.
  14. It should be labled as an online singleplayer game with MMO elements.
  15. Sadly there'll be little RP untill the chat bubbles come along.
  16. F for me. Due to the horrific experience with customer support, and the state of the game textures. I've never encountered such a horrid service.
  17. Just ask for a russian server where you can have your language. Me, I loath seeing gibberish in chat. English aint my native language, but I have the common respect to speak it on english servers.
  18. The CE costs 250% compared to the normal one. The stuff inside aint really high quality, the only thing you're paying extra for seems to be that statue. Heavy thing, good quality. Dont know what I'll do with it though.
  19. I put my code in back in early october, and i have no invite.
  20. Most english people I know, actually have worse english skills than me.
