  1. I gave up WOW for SWTOR release, then they couldn't build an OP without unbeatable bugs. So I went to PVP and got battlemaster. Left because game was boring. NOW I come back to see PVP characters at 3 times normal speed bouncing all over the map. There is no LTP crap here. I have played all the classes and I know the gear. BIOWARE how can you not detect a characters movement moving such distances so fast. You don't move like this mounted. Shame on you for allowing this to continue. Where is my right as a customer to protect my playing experience from this ridiculous crap. And for those using it. Man, if only you could do this good or half as much without cheaitng. I guess if you need the win this much in your life, RL must suck for you.
  2. Most times if you want to sit still, you will need to be ranged. Vanguard is not for you in this case. Only assualt tree is ranged and that is 50% of your moves at best. Commando gives you 2 dps ranged options from the full 30m marker. Gunnery is going to keep you very much stuck where you are because of full auto and grav round. Assault (aka pyro) is still ranged but allows for you to move and cast and more hammer shot. Vanguard assault replaces full auto with ion cell making you lose 20 m at ranged. Strockstrike is a big hitter for Vanguards and works only at 4m. Commandos have it as well but there is no real reason to go in and use it for anything.
  3. Yes I agree. I take the reviews with a grain on salt. Once I see a reoccuring pattern though I try to ask others with personal experience about it. The current mouse I have has taken some abuse but only from falling in the floor a few times from my current (temporary) setup. I'd say I am definitely narrowed down to Logitech G700 vs Razer Naga. Thank you everyone for the constructive help so far.
  4. The naga had plenty of good reviews, just most of them you could tell the user had not had the item long before posting a reply. And many of the praises from long time users were dated so far back. Seems around 2007+ their QC got much worse. I'm starting to lean toward this logitech G700. http://www.logitech.com/en-us/gaming/mice-keyboard-combos/devices/7244
  5. I placed this thread here as I know most PVPers use the mouse the most for responsiveness and often end up using more key stroke combinations than PVE. I currently use a corded optical mouse (logitech) I believe. I like it fairly well. I have 2 side buttons, and standard scroll. I want a mouse with more thumb use side buttons, I prefer not to have a gaming mouse with the 7+ buttons counting half as the side to side scroller key or the buttons in middle behind scroll. I have been reading up on the Razer Naga (12 key side) and the Razer Naga Hex (6 key side) but I have been reading lots of reviews of limited life span on these mice. I was wanting some feedback on what gaming mice you pvpers use, lifespan, and pros/cons. Any help is appreciated.
  6. Whew man. That's a brain teaser. The Undying rage ability they have is 99% reduction on white and yellow damage. Anyone with half a brain will explain to you how much more yellow dmg is a factor in this game because it covers the largest majority of abilities, not to mention CC's. It's on a 90 second CD. They spend 50% of current HP to use it. Tankassins get 5 second duration which is the same. 100% on the yellow (nothing on white, so toss up) since you can't be CC'd either. You spend nothing but the time to hit the button which you get to do every 45 seconds when specced. It even removes hostile effects currently on target which considering CDs of attackers using any DOT damage could be half their resources and another 5 seconds prior of casting ablities and global cooldowns. Plus Tankassins get to heal themselves while damaging much much better than my long CD for a mere 15% of my HP pool.
  7. 5 seconds of guaranteed 100% immunity every 45 seconds. Only white dmg can hit you at which time your shieldling should/could take over. And if you can't put DPS gear on your tankassin and do major dps then you sir do not know what you are doing. Heck, my vanguard doesn't do too bad spliting tank with tactics in dps gear. I do wear the shield generator though to help with procs.
  8. I really like this idea. Say a buff that creates strain to the body and combat must be left in order to shake the debuff. That is really a good idea. That would even take into account having a team full of healers on ball carriers and such. This way dps can't just expect to nuke down a good healer and healers can't expect to win a fight by dotting and out healing the dps damage at the same time. Of course this would be a PVP only solution. I would not suggest this for PVE unless boss mechanics are changed or built around more than 1 tank and/or kiting for most fights. Call the debuff exhaustion or something and it's on the target not on the healer casting. This prevents spamming of heals on one target but does not make the healer themselves useless. I hate to pick on healers like that but I do think it is a good solution. Could also look at doing something about tanks dealing dmg in PVP, finding a way to reduce the effectiveness of their tanking over time until combat is dropped. No major drop off included in the debuff just increase dmg taken by a % or reduce incoming heals by a %. I would have the debuff stack based off player target's total HP. Once his/her HP has been healed up to a point that is equal to their full health (not including over healing) then have the debuff start stacking until heals = 0. Then of course this would need to be tested to see how quickly the debuff stacks and to what degree.
  9. I have been having trouble getting mortar volley to work on packs that I am tanking for standing near to them because I wanted to stun first. But there are issues b/c of the minimum range requirement. 1. I cannot find the floor. If you are clicking to place the target, it tends to try to click an enemy denying the cast to start. Even bosses can be difficult sometimes to find the sweet spot. 2. Nerfing the radius is going to make this worse (I'm not going to complain about the radius nerf itself, maybe it's needed for balance, I can't say). However, since I'm currently sticking the target so far out of range of enemies to find an open floor area, then it will make it less likely I can hit my target(s). 3. Mob swarming seems to be part of the game. The AI on the mobs seems to allow for them to surround me vs just running straight at me, which I like (much more realistic). But having the target for Mortar off to the side again looking for a floor makes it difficult to use 100% effectively. I really want to be able to do the most I can for my team in pvp or my guild in ops. If the minimum range is gone then I can simply click the open area under or near my toons feet and all will be well I think. Or just change it where I can click through enemeies for placement. Anyone with an idea of what to do in the mean time in case there is a change can you help me out so I'm not yelling at the screen CLICK MORTAR, Damn you!
  10. Same can be said for those who can push opponents, especially the ones who can do more than one enemy at a time. Sprinters can get out of it with little to no damage if they are pulled. Charger/jumper can get out of it same way, they just need an opponent to get to. Friendly pulls can save you and Friendly jumps can save yourself. The people who are crying over grapples and pulls are really not focused as a team (sucks, but it's true and you can only do so much). It's a 45 second single target CD. I think honestly you need to be more spatially aware and sometimes you are just goin to have to eat it. I've died plenty from my own ability. It's also how it rarely happens to me anymore. Cut corners tighter or get on the far edges of walkways to prevent one side from pulling you in, etc. Sometimes when you play and lose... you are a great player with no help against a good team, and you have to take the loss.
  11. merc... not BH. And more so... it's favored by certain specs as well they get the most use of those gapping abilities. Ranked WZ will most likely bring some quick changes about in classes once those people start making organized 1 AC type groups.
  12. Your realize counter classing is a horrible idea. It balances the game based on a theory that a certain group makeup is available at all times. This is rarely the case as a large majority of the classes played are force users. The reason people want a nerf to so many specific moves is when they see so many at one time and can do nothing about it. When in an unrated or average unorganized WZ for example 5 sorcs will win against the average team not just b/c their abilities may or may not be better but generally the players understand what each other can do since the play the same kind of AC. Therefore, allowing for them to work together and dps/protect/heal more effectively. 2nd... I still believe the dps geared tank shadow/assassins become more useful in pvp situations. I would not like to see a nerf to the tree necessarily but a change to all tanking trees to make a tank in pvp... a tank. So take the damage and give the tank it's surviviablity still yet. The ability to self heal seems OP, but given the mitigation maybe different it might be a difference that is needed, plus I DOT NOT want to see all the tanks working the same way. That is boring. A 5 second immunity to the large portion of attacks in this game (including a removal of debuff) every 45 seconds (all talented) is OP in my opinion. If it is needed for the tree to get something else in return for losing this, I would understand. I have seen some madness/balance spececd toons that are very skilled and make those specs shine quite a bit. They however seem to possess a skill that most of their kin do not giving them a bad name. They may or may not need a buff as I do not have the experience against them to say otherwise.
  13. QQ is supposed to resemble a pair of crying eyes. The poster is refering to your comment as "whining". If you are new to online games be ready for any post you leave about the lack of an ability or the grass being greener on the other class you will get tore a new one about 20 times to 1 constructive comment.
  14. I would see the need for redesign with same faction play. I've seen a lot of favoritism on same faction huttball games. Removing this ability seems like a valid idea. As of now, looks like perfectly fine and allowable. You can't get mad that only certain classes can do it. Only certain classes can knock you off walkways or pull you from place to place, etc.
