I just got put into a WZ where there were three of us (all DPS) against four of them (2 DPS and 2 heals). This is balanced how, exactly?

I'm wondering, along with a host of others, if after having started the patch and killing it because of this thread, I'll need to download the entire game again tomorrow - or perhaps the day after. Being one of the lucky few to have fiber optic cable running to my home, DL speeds aren't an issue for me, but for countless others it seems to be a daunting task. This faux pas looks to be a serious QC issue at Bioware - one that a slowly dying game can ill-afford. Any answers from the developers would be most welcome, I'm sure.

Really is too bad. Have been looking forward to this title since I first saw the trailer last year.

They've removed the Level 50 gear entirely. From what I understand, only level 55 PvP gear is available at Fleet. Lower level gear, I'm told, is still available on Dromund Kaas for the Imps - I'm guessing it'd be Coruscant on the Pub side.

If this were Star Trek, we could sling-shot around the Sun, go back in time to when $0.49 could buy a frikkin house and we'd be set!

Ditto -- But I'm also sometimes getting "Incorrect Cartel Market Purchase Link" ... whatever that is. Time to go to the barber shop. Hopefully by the time I get back, things will look cleaner (both on my skull and on the servers).

Y'know, this whole HK quest series reminded SO much of the old KOTOR game. I absolutely LOVED it!

I personally like the merc healer. Some posters have indicated they don't have a decent AOE heal, but the Kolto Missile is pretty damned good, imho. And because you can wear heavy armor, your survivability is pretty high as you wade into the thick of the melee and keep dropping the aforementioned Kolto missiles at your feet every few seconds while targeting your allies with your three or four other heal options. (I have a Sorc healer and an Operative healer as well. I've found the survivability to be a bit on the difficult side for both classes. Could be I'm just not that skilled at staying alive?) In any event, for me the clear answer is: Mercenary! Fun, plenty of heals to go around and survivable. That said, he's REALLY slow leveling PvE -- the DPS merc mows mobs faster than a Lawnboy does a patch of mushrooms.

Curious -- I was a big KOTOR fan also, which is why I started playing as early as possible. Why'd you wait for almost a year after launch to play?

It's actually quite rare. So rare, in fact, that this is the first time I've seen something like this happen. And I've been playing since before launch.

Just curious - how major is this city if just 15 miles out all you have is DSL?

What is going on?? The last two days have been horrible for crashes. Trying to get into a WZ, the game kicks me out to the character log in screen. I finally manage to get into a WZ, then when it ends, I'm left alone IN the WZ (or so it appears) stuck in place and can't leave, can't log out, nothing. Need to use Task Manager to quit the game and re start it. Most recently (not 5 minutes ago) I logged out of one toon to try to log into another one, and I froze while logging out. Task Manager again to kill the game. Then it took almost 5 minutes to log back in. Anyone else experiencing this kind of thing?

So do I -- they make a nice stew.

The worst is, "HELP!" IF we had voice comm and IF it were direction-oriented (i.e., if someone were yelling from Snow, we'd hear it coming from that direction) it might be worth something. As it is, a shout for help without a location gets as much notice as a fart in a windstorm ... not counting derision, calls for the offending player's execution, crucifixion, drawing-and-quartering, tar-and-feathering, etc.

I dunno ... I have a 50 Sorc in full BM gear with just under 1100 Expertise and I regularly do 340K - 350K healing. I also have a 42 Merc healer (valor 42 as well, wearing level 40 PvP gear) and I thoroughly enjoy healing WZs. With my Merc, for example, in WZs I just run into the thickest fighting and keep dropping Kolto Missile every 6 seconds close enough that I'm in the AoE. While that alone isn't enough to keep me alive, rotating a few other of my bigger heals/shields between myself and any allies in range that need healing is usually more than enough. Toss a Guard on me and the Merc Healer has serious staying power. I usually end up dying only 2 or 3 times a game (especially in the "turret" WZs and Voidstar), and it will normally take 3 enemy players to focus fire me down to ashes. That said, I'm a career healer -- been healing in every MMO I've ever played. Don't know if it's because I've become accustomed the healer mentality or what -- but I love healing in SW-TOR.
