The one thing that would be super is if they fixed is the "usable" filter It frustarates me to no end everytime my trooper goes to a vender and I have to sort through dozens of lightsabers, blaster pistols and assorted other melee weapons when none of them are usable but the vendor shows them to me anyway.

I started with armormech/scavage/underworld but as i got more orange gear I found the gear i was making less and less appealing plus i was getting frustrated with the RE process (REDOUBT AGAIN???) so I dropped armormech and picked up cybertech. It's worked out much better, I keep my orange gear for me and my companion up to date along with our ear slot. Plus my ship is top notch and I got a sweet ride. And once I get to 50 I'll gear out my 2 droids even though I never use them. Oh, and it's also useful for keeping my Jedi shadow geared where armormech would have been completely useless.

Before I dropped armormech I made a few empire-only oranges without reading the description (I'm republic). I couldn't RE them.

The way I see it slicing missions should only be a way to level slicing with little to no cost while gathering is where you make your profit, seeing as slicing is a gathering skill not a mission skill.

Hmm, I wonder if a trooper with grapple could pull people through the same way?

I like the C-303 Assault Rifle http://www.torhead.com/item/bgqoFHP picked it up on Coruscant, don't have a screen but it's a short triple barrel gun with no stock. Looks more like a shotgun than a rifle.

But once I've made my epic augmented armor peice, then what? Like I said I don't craft to make money, I only craft for myself. Wouldn't I be better off buying that epic with aug slot off the GTN and having a crafting skill that'll benefit all my alts (i.e. cybertech) or another gathering skill?

At this time in galactic history Twi'lek dress code is severly regulated by their respective goverments. Wearing anything other than skimpy dancing cloths requires a mountain of paperwork and anything covering their heads larger than a headband is STRICTLY forbidden. It will take 3000 years of lobbying in the Republic senate and the fall of the Sith empire for the Twi'leks to finally be able to wear a hood.

This, with one exception, the player created grade 2 armor is currently 3000 toughness and +3 blaster dmg and well worth the cr. It's probaby a bug though as it's better than grade 5 armor at this point.

Personally I go by the the rule of thumb that if there's a pause for the GDC in the middle of your macro you're in the danger zone.

I just created a thread asking basicly the same thing about armormech, I just don't see the point of creating all this green/blue/purple gear is if orange+mods is going to be equal/better.

Personaly, I'd say salvaging/underword trading just because they are used by the widest array of crafting skills.

and I find myself wondering why. I'm a trooper and while it's been nice to keep my armor up to date, I'm not really seeing any long term advantage. I've never been big on crafting as a source of income, gathering has always worked better for me in that reguard. Would I be better off with a second gathering skill and just buy gear as I go? Or maybe switch to cybertech where the items can be used by all my alts rather than just my trooper/smuggler alts? Are there armormech exclusives at max lvl (bind on aquire gear)? I'd rather not go futher into armormech (already at ~200) if it's not something I'm going to use at 50.

Unless you're running around with Ion Cell active (which as tactics you shouldn't be) a shield generator only gives you a 5% shield proc chance. Honestly unless you spec sheild tech you're probably better off just not using a shield generator.

The Nar Shaddaa equipment commendation vendor has a HA Jedi Knight helm, comes with str socketed. Just replace with aim mods and you're good. Looks like a silver circlet.

Pretty sure you need to complete the Nar Shaddaa storyline before he'll give you his quest. I currently am on it and I've got less than 3k affection with him. On a side note the beginning areas where his quest takes you are lvl 30ish.

As a PvE spec Vanguard I would love to help out with the lack of tanks for group content. However as I am constantly on the move I can't be bothered to stand around and spam general chat in the zone that has said group content. If only there was some sort of tool where I could list the various group content I would be interested in running so that no matter where I was in the galaxy, I could be matched with others also looking to do the same group content. Maybe some sort of LOOKING FOR DUNGEON tool. Too bad no one has invented such a thing yet, too bad indeed.
