  1. As infil, you need a tank. As anything else, you don't need one so your best bet would be Tharan.
  2. Sure but can't we all agree that more space stuff like they are alluding and new content and features like the legacy system takes priority over swimming. If swimming is so big for you I hear there is another MMO on the horizon specifically designed to include underwater combat. I personally want a more traditional MMO experience set in a great universe. And I have to say the amount of content Bioware is pumping out in such a small time frame is amazing. There was a year between Lich King and Cataclysm and there is likely to be a year between Deathwing and Kungfu Panda 3.
  3. It's not really a bug. It's just a fast moving elevator. You jump up and it moves down. By the time you reach it again, you are taking big amounts of fall damage. Nothing broken from where I am standing. Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair.
  4. Behind the opponent means the following: Imagine that you are the person who is getting hit. Now there is a 45 degree zone to the left as you are looking forward and a 45 degree zone to your right. That is where the backstab abilities won't work. The other 270 degrees are all considered the backstab zone. So yeah, it's easy to backstab someone who is moving around provided that as a PvPer, you never let go of your two mouse buttons. You really shouldn't. Ever.
  5. What you are missing is the fact that as deception, when leveling, you should never have an NPC attacking you so a charge that increases your DPS is better. In PvP, you might use Dark Charge, I can't comment on that as I don't usually PvP until I reach max level.
  6. Usually, and I know I will get flamed on when I say the following so I stress it, USUALLY: If the tank dies, it's the healer's fault. If the healer dies, it's the tank's fault. If the DPS die, it's the DPS's fault. If the boss enrages, it's the DPS's fault. If the boss isn't positioned properly, it's the tank's fault. If there is a heavy AoE phase and 2+ people die, it's the healer's fault. Unless of course those people didn't collapse, went out of LOS.
  7. This thread should have been over at the 3rd post. As it was said, at equal gear level, Player Skill > Class. That's it. Sure, some classes have certain tools which others don't. As an assassin, I can AoE tank with no problem. Solo tanking Jarg and Sorno without breaking a sweat. However, I don't have a charge ability so when the annihilator droid punts me, I have to run back. Still though, I think there is no 1 best class. There are certainly better classes for certain fights but that is no reason to go for a specific tank class over another.
  8. What is the OP talking about?! I've gotten Light V(10k) and then some dark points and then some light again and I went back to 10 000 light and 0 dark. It's not like Mass Effect where you can have both. Let's say I have 5000 light and then I get 1000 dark. I will be at 4000 (5000Light - 1000Dark). Now let's say I get 2000 Light more. I will be at 6000 (7000Light - 1000Dark). However if I get 4000 Light more I will be at the max, 10 000 (10000Light and 0 Dark). Once you reach the max light, it starts subtracting from the dark. Simple. You CAN get to Light V or Dark V even if you took the opposite choice decisions.
  9. I agree with this suggestion because as stated, if there is no way to give an augment slot to a purple, everyone will be using orange gear.
  10. At some point they will probably add it is a paid service but currently other than rolling a new character, no. /thread
  11. Stupidest reason to stop playing. You don't like the mini game that is like 2% of the entire game? Don't do space missions. Problem solved. Some of us actually like them. They are a nice distraction from leveling.
  12. I kind of disagree. I think hardcore players, be it PvE or PvP should be entitled to some rare vanity items for the time/skill put into the game. These shouldn't be unobtainable for the rest of the people but at least when a patch is new they should. Let's say I kill nightmare Soa. I should have a rare mount that is just the same speed as the highest speed mounts (not faster). And casual players will eventually be able to get it as well, in a couple of patches when they severely outgear the place. Because really, if not for the bragging rights, why would I even raid on higher difficulty modes?
  13. Yeah, about that. Doesn't that mean that once 1.2 hits and assuming that it will bring the removal of armoring mods which carry over the set bonuses, the crit orange gear will effectively become Best in Slot? You can have all the mods from your tier piece + an augment.
  14. It's a great class. You have a specific function in PvP to seek out the targets that represent the highest threat to your group, usually ranged DPS or healers and destroy them while preventing them from casting anything important. 1-on-1 you can defeat anyone with ease with the only exception of good Sage/Sorcs and Sentinels/Marauders who are specced for PvP and play their class very well. That being said, you should avoid fighting tanks, it takes just too long.
  15. As a 50 shadow who is currently rerolling as an assassin because we switched to a higher pop server, I have to say that the delay in project can be both good and bad. It is good because you can queue up 2 strong hits in a short period of time which makes you slightly more bursty. Not in the amount of damage you deal, that is the same but rather in the fact that you get off 2 hits with little delay between. On the other hand, you can't interrupt capping objectives in PvP as well because of that delay which is absent in shock. Also, people can see you casting project and use their vanish or Resilience/Force Shroud to negate the damage. Lastly, if we have a shadow and an assassin fighting 1-on-1 and they are both almost dead and they use Project/Shock the following would happen: A) Both use their skills at the same time. Both die. Assassin will die like 0.5 seconds later but he will still die since there is a Project in the air. B) Shadow uses his Project first, Assassin uses Shock shortly after. Both die as the assassin had the time to cast shock while the Project was in the air. C) Assassin uses his Shock first. Shadow dies. Assassin lives.
